Resolved Question: I admit I am a "Monday morning team owner" and probably should shut up but why do the Vikings keep Childress?
Great playcalling in the second half of the Philly game Childress! Run, pass, pass - repeat! Run, pass, pass - repeat! WTF??? This season I have witnessed the worst playcalling ever. I am used to idiot head coaches being a Vikings fan but this guy.....arghhh. I would take Denny F-ing Green back. Is Childress still working for the Eagles or what? The Vikings have the dubious honor of the worst head coach AND the worst quarterback in the league. Zygi Wilf says "yes, yes, yes" Childress will be back as head coach and that the Vikings reached a milestone. Huh?? Isn't he embarrassed that they lose games because of douchebaggery and it reflects on him? Does he not realize that if he had decent playcalling and a half decent QB that he would have a chance to go deep into the playoffs? The Vikings were predictable and Jackson was overthrowing and underthrowing guys by 5 yards on deep throws and yet they still had a chance. It is pitiful that they waste all the talent on their team because Wilf is too stubborn to get rid of Childress who in turn is too stubborn to get rid of Tarvaris Jackson. I'd rather play for the fu(k!ng Lions if I were a Viking. I fully expected Brad Childress to be out and they take a run at Shanahan. Imagine Shanahan coaching Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor...and you know he would not put up with Terriblevis Jackson. He would have to lick his own butt to get the taste of Shanahan out of his mouth playing like that. WTF???? Sports Guru - I know the point you are making about a run, pass, pass approach being common but they tried the exact same run literally every time. Give the guy a chance and change things up. Against Phillys run D, surprise is a big factor. You telegraph and....well you go home to watch the rest of the playoffs. SG - Your logic is perfectly sensible but they ran literally the same plays over and over again. You can't even do that in a video game and have it work so it sure as hell is not going to work in the NFL....like I said, I should just shut up but I played defense all through high school and college and I know if you tell a defense what you are going to do you are going to get shut down. Simple as that. I probably should give more credit to the Philly defense. They have more to do with the loss than anything but geez, give the f-ing offense a chance. First half was ok but the second half was not the same recipe. Open Question: Brad Childress Fired from Minnesota?
Ok, this is me venting off of a terrible game played by the Minnesota Vikings. I dont know how much years is left on his contract but enough is enough and Brad Childress has to go. Even though he won the division, we had a crappy division to begin with.The play calling is just absolutely terrible and the man can't even manage a clock. This man has to go and I hope he does.
