Open Question: the right to a speedy trial?
I was cited for my dogs, July 14th 2008 (dogs at large). I pled not guilty at my arraignment and asked for a jury trial. The state set a new arraignment for November 14th 2008 due to an amended complaint. (they reduced the charges )(nuisance dogs) Is A right to speedy trial six months from the day I was originally arraigned?

Open Question: What're "The Big 5" of other genres?
In just about every musical genre, there're a select few artists who are seen as the 'leaders' of them or the ones who helped forge the genres themselves. The ones who generally define the genre in a big, noticable way.
The number isn't strictly 5. Sometimes it's 4 or 6! :)
For prog rock's "Big 5", the consensus seems to be (depending on who you ask! lol)
Pink Floyd
Genesis
Yes
King Crimson
Jethro Tull
For thrash metal, I've seen people cite Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth & Slayer as their 'big 4'.
So who would it be for say- pop music, punk, etc....?
Emotional'- I hear ya, but what can I tell you? I'm one of the biggest Rush fans I know, but that list is what I see most consistently among old school prog rock fans. I'd like to see em on more big 5 lists too, but I'm hard-pressed to say they *forged* prog rock. They took it to a louder, heavier level, but those 5 pretty much made it before Rush came along.
hedzy- yknow. You're right. If I could re-type that, ELP would replace Tull. This is probably why I also often see people stretch it to 6 to include both. :)
Making one for pop *is* kinda tricky. ('least to me) But Jacko is definitely in there.

Open Question: what more do you need when Israel's own founder says Israel is the aggressor? ?
"Let us not ignore the truth among ourselves ... politically we are the aggressors and they defend themselves... The country is theirs, because they inhabit it, whereas we want to come here and settle down, and in their view we want to take away from them their country."
-- David Ben Gurion, quoted on pp 91-2 of Chomsky's Fateful Triangle, which appears in Simha Flapan's "Zionism and the Palestinians pp 141-2 citing a 1938 speech.
He was a hardcore racist supremacist atheist using people's fear and trauma from WW2 and their religious beliefs (sounds familiar no?) to make them feel entitled to something that wasn't theirs and justifying massacres ever since.

Open Question: Psychology Career Advice?
Could someone please help me out here ? I keep telling everyone that I'm going to pursue a BS in Psychology, as it's the minimum, or at least preferred requirement to be a mental health tech or work in that type of environment.. yet my girlfriend says "It's a horrible idea as so many with that degree are broke and seeking jobs" and she also said "My Psychology teacher told me that 100's of people with BS's call my school every year looking for work, and that's how bad it is."
What do you all think ? My theory is that there will always be people needing mental health help, especially as time goes on, so why not pursue this career ?
Please try not to respond without at least citing a source, and preferably providing links.
Thank you in advance
Thank you both very much for these very helpful responses.

Open Question: why so much israeli hypocrisy? ?
At least your prime Minister was honest enough to give his intentions.
I prefer to dig out quotes from this centure rather than fairy tales from 3000 years ago. FREE PALESTINE
sorry but in normal human logic...someone steals your house, your fight him. It's not him that comes and says: Ill get out if you stop fighting me,, and in the meantime brings his extended family in.
Exactly! Israel has committed multiple acts of aggression so therefore palestinians DO relataliate within their means.
