So, i have this science project and i wanna do it on well, the title of this Q. In more detail: If you havent noticed, all fast-food restaurants are all decorated in bright colors like: Red, orange, yellow, etc. (all annoying colors) and all big stores like macys or nordstoms have colors like: gray, brown, navy blue, etc. (all relaxing colors) My sci-pro is about the logic of the colors, music, and atmosphere in all different kinds of stores and their advertising reasons. my aunt pointed this out when she said that fast-foods res. had bright exciting colors so people wouldnt stay there too long and will zip-in and zip-out. (note "fast-food") And that the other stores that want customers to stay a little longer have colors that are more relaxing or soothing. But there are three problems w/ my report. 1. What the heck is my hypothesis is gonna be. 2. How am i going to do an experiment on it? 3. There is little research. (it would be awesome if you can answer that too!) can you help me please????? We spent a week in PA this spring, and took a tour of the Farnsworth House in Gettysburg. I've never really been one to believe in ghosts, but I can't help but be so intrigued by what happened while we were there. I went on the tour with my Dad and younger brother, so it was pretty interesting. The first hour was fine for me but I was obviously very uneasy about the whole thing despite loving ghost stories etc, and I felt prickly all over while in the attic. After the attic part was over and I was a little bit settled down we headed down to the basement, the guide started telling his stories etc, and told how if you hear talking its just the restaurant upstairs (its a bed and breakfast/tavern also). Suddenly out of no where I heard laughing and I looked around to figure out where it was coming from, it sounded like directly behind me but there was nothing there but a wall, and I finally realized that my Dad and brother were staring at the same spot. I asked them if they heard that and they said yes, and we were all confused because it definitely didn't come from upstairs as it wasn't muffled and it was directly behind us. I tried to explain to them how it sounded, like it was almost in another dimension or something, and they agreed. It creeped me out a little bit so I started fidgeting but eventually that part of the tour was over and I headed up front to take a picture of the elaborate set up (1800's seance type display) with my digital camera. I took the picture and my camera shut off, despite the batteries being full. I was confused and was fooling with the camera trying to get it to work but I was holding up everyone behind me so I walked out of the basement with a dead camera and I turned it back on after I was out and it was perfectly fine, but when it turned back on, it had a strange picture on it. It really was interesting because it was completely pitch black down in the basement except for some candles, and I didn't use a flash because I wanted the natural candle light. I was shuddered by the picture when I realized that it just didn't make sense, and I looked to see the battery was still completely full. After the tour was over I showed the guide and he told me it was definitely a picture of a ghost, but I still am undecided on whether or not they actually exist. While on the tour of East Cemetary Hill I got great pictures of alot of orbs, even a red one. I am in a posh restaurant. I am at this self service bar thing and im frustrated at the lack of staff to help me because i dont understand what to do. I go into the main restaurant but dont realise i am wearing my dressing gown and the restaurant manager shouts at me(there is a wedding reception). Victoria Bekham comes from the restaurant to tell me its o.k and that i can come in so i take off my dressing gown and realise that i have a lovely expensive gold and black outfit on. She compliments my handbag. Then there is a massive explosion, I dont think much of it but suddenly I am in a big field and I hear helicopters and see explosions. Im scared and I make my way back to the restaurant and come across a soldier. I dont know if he was going to shoot me but when a group of kids come running up to me and he shoots a little boy I take his gun and shoot him a lot of times. He has the boy in front of him and the bullets i shoot him with go through him into the little boy. I am very upset even though the boy has been shot anyway. The kids run away and I am in the restaurant. All of my family are there and some others. My mum says 'come in' and i say 'well i hope so theres a war going on!' Nobody seems to understand the seriousness. A soldier comes up to the window and I tell everybody to get down, they lower their heads but not enough so i keeep saying it to them. The soldier holds up a sign saying 'i wont hurt you' in red paint then he holds one up saying 'well, only enough to scare you'. My nephew walks over to me with a lovely little book he has made and I cry really hard until I wake up. Dont think I have ever remembered a dream with a storyline to it and its just a strange dream for me to have so I would love analysis on any parts of the dream, thanks :) Also when i arrive back at the restaurant i bring the gun with me and ask my fiancee if the safety catch is on properly because im worried it will hurt someone. I really wanted to cook Thai food today & I searched high & low for the exact recipe I needed. I went out last night to 3 different markets looking for green curry paste with no luck. I also went to a Thai restaurant hoping they would help me out & sell me some paste but of course they wouldn't. I went to the only Asian market today I know of in my area & they didn't have it either. I was supposed to be cooking Thai Chicken with Green Curry, Bamboo, and Basil. That's NOT going to happen & I'm bummed. So what can I throw together just to have some random dish on the table? I have the following: Chicken breast Bamboo Coconut milk Basil Eggplant Red/Green bellpepper Onion Carrots Rice I'm sure I have cheese, milk, chicken broth. I know it a while away but I want to book things early just to make sure theres room Right so me and my gf are both 17 and been going out for 2 months or so. Valentines Day is a Saturday this year. So I was going to arrange it so that Saturday morning she woke up to around 20 red roses in her room, with a card and chocolates etc... (the usual) Then I thought we could wake up early go down to devon for the day(from sussex). We would set or early and have spend the day around kingsbridge and in the countryside doing romancy type stuff (walks, beach, lunch alfresco etc...) Dinner out at nice restaurant, then spend the night at 4* B+B with sea views. Possibly sit out on the lawn on a blanket and watch the stars? Then head off home the next morning. So any opions on that ideas (any parts that sound rubbish) or any parts that I could add to that. Also, if anyone has some cheaper ideas that would help! Also, I'm concerned we might spend the whole day driving as it will be a 3-4 hour drive! Should we just leave really early? (more...)
