Ok first of all i wanna say that On Oct 1 2007 I and some friends saw a weird Flash color green almost like a explosion in the sky(a bright greenish illuminating light in the sky) here in southern CA close to the city of Long Beach it was about 12 to1 am dont remember time exactly (cant find anything on it). We were in shock and suprised to see that it was something out of the ordinary. (funny thing is i had seen it before with a other friend at least a month ago or so..that time did not think much of it) Now on Aug 15 07 in Peru i saw on a news report that they had a similar experience in the sky theres was a bit before a earthquake they had the same day. Its Suprisingly Weird and strange that theres looked exactly the same as we seen before. I wasn't at a legal voting age when the election was taking place (I'm 17 and thank God for that), but, I do admit that I supported Obama's campaign. In the state-wide mock elections that took place in high schools across California, I voted blindly voted for Obama. My reasoning was that history would be made if Obama was elected, and that "there would be change". But, now I realize that there would be change and history would be made regardless of whether Obama was elected or not. I was caught up in the snowball-bandwagon effect created by the media, and I am angry at myself for not knowing any better. The more I read about Obama after his election, the more disillusioned I become. I will let the opposition do their own research. I find it such a shame that John McCain didn't win, but don't think that I'm butthurt, because I realize that what's done is done. I find solace in knowing that I learned from this experience and that I will never support another cause without seeing it from every angle. Cheers to the soon to be Achilles heel of America.. Anyways, enough rambling from me. Has anyone else changed their views regarding the president elect (pro-to-anti, anti-to-pro Obama)? Or have your opinions remained intact? Gun Sales Thriving In Uncertain Times Americans have cut back on buying cars, furniture and clothes in a tough economy, but there's one consumer item that's still enjoying healthy sales: guns. Purchases of firearms and ammunition have risen 8 to 10 percent this year, according to state and federal data. In times of distress, we turn to prayer The nature of the prayers I'm hearing has changed," he said. "There seems to be a great deal of fear and anxiety as well as uncertainty for the future that's resonating in all generations right now." Despite the rocky economy and the war in Iraq, Gebhardt said there is a note of hope and gratitude for the things people do have. "The economy has realigned people's priorities," he said. "I hear people expressing thanks for simple things - their clothes, a roof over their heads, a job and food on the table." Sociologist Wendy Cadge, lead author of the study, found that 22 percent of the prayers in the research expressed thanks to God, while 28 percent were requests of God and another 28 percent were prayers to both thank and petition God. So, i have this science project and i wanna do it on well, the title of this Q. In more detail: If you havent noticed, all fast-food restaurants are all decorated in bright colors like: Red, orange, yellow, etc. (all annoying colors) and all big stores like macys or nordstoms have colors like: gray, brown, navy blue, etc. (all relaxing colors) My sci-pro is about the logic of the colors, music, and atmosphere in all different kinds of stores and their advertising reasons. my aunt pointed this out when she said that fast-foods res. had bright exciting colors so people wouldnt stay there too long and will zip-in and zip-out. (note "fast-food") And that the other stores that want customers to stay a little longer have colors that are more relaxing or soothing. But there are three problems w/ my report. 1. What the heck is my hypothesis is gonna be. 2. How am i going to do an experiment on it? 3. There is little research. (it would be awesome if you can answer that too!) can you help me please?????
