Alright, I try to be as clean as I possibly can, though even still, I am not insanely clean. Though I moved from a house with low traffic and plus the road was not that close to the house. My new place is near a main road which transit buses come by every half-hour to an hour. Plus I have tons of vehicles flying by all the time. I have noticed in my new place, that dust is constantly every where. I dust and dust, but it's like it's constant. The new house gets hot as crap, because it's brick, so I have to often leave the windows open. (more...)

My husband and I purchased a 2006 Hyundai Tuscon in October of 2007. At the time, the car had approximately 24,000 miles on it. In August-September of 2008 we noticed that the gas mileage wasn't as good as normal and that there was a sound coming from the engine, especially when first starting or when going uphill. We took the vehicle to the dealer in October and were told that they "didn't really know" what was wrong the car and that they would like to "replace the engine" since the car is under the 5 year/60,000 mile warranty, and we were told that the mechanic would give it a good report and for us to bring our maintenance logs into the dealership so that the District Manager can look them over and decide whether or not to approve the engine replacement. Since then, we have called and stopped by the dealership several times only to be told that "no decision has been made", that "the district manager is out of town", etc etc. During our last phone call, we were told that while we provided a satisfactory maintenance log, the previous owners of the vehicle (who was a mechanic himself) did not and that was what had been causing the delay, but that again, his district manager would look the vehicle and our reports over and decide whether or not to approve. I called Hyundai's corporate office today and the CSR that I spoke with called the dealership that I had been dealing with; she then told me that the district manager would be coming in tomorrow and that we should give the dealership a call either tomorrow evening or Wednesday. She also said that the approval could "go either way", but that the District Manager's word was pretty much law. I feel that this is ridiculous. Hyundai's "America's Best Warranty" was the main selling point for our family when we bought the car and now we are finding out that they may not even honor that warranty. Has anyone else had issues with this, and if so, do you have any advice? (more...)

My husband had RK at least 15 years ago. His night vision is very poor with the night glare effect he gets. My main question is have any of you tried any of the high intensity headlights out there and had any success. We need the best. His surgery was pretty aggressive which has made his night vision REALLY bad. Especially during winter his drive into and home from the office is in the dark and if the roads are wet that makes it twice as bad as it already is. He does have a GM Avalanche on lease so I am wondering if there are some lights we can swap out now and when he turns in his lease is there something better we can request to upgrade his vehicle. I know he will get another Avalanche. I saw something about High Intensity headlamps (HID). Maybe those have to be built in and don't just require changing a bulb? Also if you have success with any night vision glasses let me know. I think his opinion in the past was they just seemed to darken everything. (more...)
