Resolved Question: Outdoor Running--What club? Where's the friendliness?
I keep seeing this on here that once you start running, you'll wave to other runners you see on your route and ''welcome to the running community etc ....
But when I started in March, I was so excited and I'd do the head nod thing or flick of the hand move but people would either try to speed by you (just so they don't feel embarrased that they have to walk the minute they clear your vision) or they ignore you like the plague.
To me it seems runners are very snotty when they're outdoors so I'd like to know if it's just ''my town thing'' or are there actual people who will wave to you as you run by?
oh I'm not looking for a fellow runner to run with --I like my own time out but I just appreciate a ''hey'''every once in a while when I'm waving my hand off!
Flagger--didn't thumb you down, not sure why you did get that!

Resolved Question: new hair style suggestions?
i have naturally thick long wavy hair, which i tend to straighten to help make my hair less thin.
but i'm bored of this style, curling doesn't tend to stay put.
after five minutes they have become barely a flick even with hair spray.
any suggestions, all welcome :)

Resolved Question: do my poems represent these themes from the crucible and my painting?
here are my poems... and my painting. i have to identify three themes of The Crucible, paint a picture that represents the themes and write poems that support them. any help is welcome... thanks soo much! :)
Intolerance
Sharp lines of pigment
Distinguish the figment
Of the strict idealization
That blinds society of those
Very same pigments.
Dark about blush
Gather in rush;
Those anemic in fervor
Make up in sight
What they lack in flush.
Reputation
?Blush about they name??
Questions one?s own validity
As the face with heat,
Rose, and beguile
Draws from accusations
By bringing to attention
A face with naturally
Rosy cheeks; yet
A short nose.
Empowerment
At the end of the wrist
With a flick and a twist
Gives motions new light,
Of ideas and of flight;
So natural, so pure,
Not in need of a cure-
As a hand is the slave
Of a mind that is ?brave?
And in moments of fury
With a wave and a jury
Makes the motive all clear
That has no need for cheer
For the hand that strikes first
Has already a purse
Filled with rule and with thumb
Can clear surfaces plumb.
As a hand made of gold
Is too heavy to hold
So those heavy in hand
Be they marked with a brand
That states their true aim
Of mind, honor, and fame;
With a covetous scheme
To devour the scene
To center the study
Of public?s mind, bloody
Is the hand that eyes follow
And the truth that they swallow.

Resolved Question: Can you read this for me, and tell you what you think? (I'm 14)?
I've posted this up before, and I edited it again.
--------------------------------------...
The day my life changed forever was a Thursday. I don't really like Thursdays - something about the word is just negative. Whenever someone says Thursday, I immediately think of Thorn Day. And thorns are not the most positive things in the world. I was at the coffee shop, the place where I spent my eight hours serving up coffee, croissants, and muffins the size of my fist. It's a mom-and-pop sort of shop - the kind that's homey and welcoming and makes you want to buy tons of muffins, just because "mom" made it straight from the kitchen.
I have to admit, the best thing about working at a coffee shop in New York City is that you never run across the same customer twice. Some days you'll meet a man in a smart, neatly pressed business suit wearing lime green loafers, or a woman wearing a knit top straight from the seventies, a pink tutu, orange leggings, and roller-blades.
Most of the time these extraodinary customers sit for hours just gossiping about every one they know. It's really quite interesting. I call them the Undercover Actors, because somehow they manage to create such an intricate and impressive story with just actions; a flick of the wrist here, a raised eyebrow there.
Through their gossip they take me to a place where the scene is being acted out before my very eyes. And suddenly I'm off on a tangim thinking about this Aunt Sue or Uncle Howard, and how Uncle Howard burning the Christmas ham and Aunt Sue breaking every fragile thing within a ten foot radius, could ruin a traditional Christmas dinner, in December of 2005.
Anyways, back to the coffee shop. If you first walked in to this quaint shop, you'd come across rows and rows of mahogany tables with college students at them. They'll always stop by sometime before class or after class to work on their silver Gateways, Toshibas, Macs and PC laptops, their click-clacking keys sounding off rhythmically with the Jazz music, that spilled out the speakers on the ceiling.

Resolved Question: Can you read this for me? Tell me what you think?
I've posted this up before, but after I edited it a bit, I wanted to see what you thought. I'm fourteen by the way ( a fragile, fourteen year old) so be kind. Strengths? Weaknesses? What I need? What I could get rid of?

If you were to enter this quaint little shop, you'd see waxed mahogany tables and chairs spread across the floor in a convenient disarray - convenient being that I can maneuver my way around them easily.

Ooops! I repeated something! Never mind. I'm sorry.

Resolved Question: movie synopses for 2009 ?
the proposal - has sandra bullock , watch on you tube!! comedy.out in june. great plot, funny and great laugh out loud flick may i add.
the international - ok, but for those who like twisted plot through the whole film. clive owen in this one.
viy - scary in its own way. filmed and based on a russian story but has english actors, some Russian of course, but nevertheless, i would say made an impression to be a scary movie. i would say go for it. has a vampite , Gothic style to it.
dance flick - out in february. its dancing combined with meet the spartans/the epic movie type of comedy. so those of you who loved the named above can go and see it, pretty funny if u have that kinda of humor.
night in the museum 2:battle of the Smithsonians - not that funny. sorry to disappoint, but if you thought the first one was not as funny as you expected then this one is a downturn. but as a family kind and lovable this film would be the best film for the night.
dragonball evolution - again this is for those who fell in love with the devinci code movie. clever and well pictured its a good family story. has action and fantasy. and the actors fit well with the plot.
2012 - brilliant. well pictured . 10 times better than the day after tomorrow. really do guarantee that you will be scared about the population in 2012 after you watched this. as i said its the kind of theme as you found in the day after tomorrow but 10 times better, and it doesn't cover new york or America, but it covers the whole world.
confessions of the shopaholic: well what can i say. a very good chick flick.not for men. girly kinda of thing for girls who wanna have fun and a night in. a very good girl movie. stays true to the novel, but of course like you will find in any movie they had to cut it short on time.
prince of Persia - the sands of time - has Jake Gyllenhaal. real movie not the computerized kind of thing. very good but not as good as oirates of the Caribbean, but has the same theme if you get the drift. a one off watch was enough for me,
hotel for dogs - has emma roberts(the wild child),out in January family/teen film.plot is quite cute and funny. family flick. dogs can be your best friends but don't cross the line.no humans where harmed in this movie.
friday the 13th - ugg. i liked the first movie, but for gods sake how many more are there going to be, the fact stays a fact. welcome back jason, we might as well rip our heads off now just for the sake of our ears not to hear your elephant stomping and save our eyes from another 1 hour of looking at you and your blade.yuppie no one can stop jason, somebody throw a party!!!and order me a pizza, no eyes as a topping . thank you Jason, u r an angel.out on the 13th february
race to with mountain - out in march.taxi driver (has the rock, game plan, doom) picks up two kids.he doesn't know that they have powers unknown to human kind.he also doesn't know that they are alians who crushed on planet earth and he also doesn't have a clue that fbi and an alien bounty hunter is after him and the kids. family action packed movie with a few throws of sarcasm. love it
haunting of molly hartley - Halloween 2009. yuppie and we have a sister of Jason. basically a girl who's mother got possessed by the devil. now the daughter is 18 she gets possessed in return but fights to be sane at the same time, so boyfriends and envious girlfriends are in a way but still have to be dealt with. plenty of skeletons behind the closed doors and etc should be fun for those who are desperate and cannot find a good movie on a Friday night to rent out. 6/10
duplicity - julia roberts and clive owen.march 2009. and we have a winner of all films!!!!good actors, twisted and sarky, a bit of actions and FUN!!!grown ups only and all fumbs up!! great plot. 1 ex mi agent and 1 ex FBI agent, lovers. both spies who are about to steal 40 million dollars. two corporations are about to make a deal and they dont know that each one is going to employ one of the ex agents, to protect the deal which is worth the 40 million dollars. we have clive owen as the sexy GENT WHO TRIES TO GET THE INFO OUT OF EMPLOYEES OF THE CORPORATIONS BY BEDDING THEM AND JULIA ROBERTS BY PUSHING AND TWISTING CLIVE'S MIND WITH SARKY COMMENTS.
up 3D- an old but sarky man is flying in his two store high house . his method of lifting his house up the sky - thousands of balloons. great for the whole family no limit to the age. another great pixar story , like all the rest - expect only the best from pixar. out in summer.
too fast too furious 4 - brilliant better than the 3rd one actually.van dissel, paul walker and michelle rodriguez are welcomed back to reprise the movie we all wanted to watch a long time ago. and i would welcome them with a good champagne and a few friends next summer when it come out to the screens. loved it and watched it over 10 times.!!
harry potter and a half blooded prince - grown up and brilliant. althou
althought not all of you like it i have to say the directors moved away from the magic on to the action and romance a bit during the years, but that should be expected as harry potter and the gang keep growing up. raise ur expectations as the harry potter and the gang will show u the ultimate battle between the good and the evil oh and Harmonie's wit, who could forget that.
angels and demons - tom hanks, out in may. another flick like the davinci code(same producers)a bit complicated and not clear. the pope is getting chosen, the old rituals are being done and gargoyles come alive all in the same night. so basically those who love this kind of thing get your hopes up, the rest of us should get together and and get drunk to have a good excuse for a headache in the morning.
watchmen -out on 03/06/09 seriously when i first saw this i thought i would be seeing another epic movie with all Marvel super heroes intact. actually they did a real movie - action thing, where all superheroes - su
watchmen -out on 03/06/09 seriously when i first saw this i thought i would be seeing another epic movie with all Marvel super heroes intact. actually they did a real movie - action thing, where all superheroes - superman, batman and etc are living a normal life but are being killed one by one, by someone who knows their real identity. 8/10. not a a very funny movie.
new moon - sequel to TWILIGHT. sorry guys but i thought i would let you know that its only coming out in 2010.good storyline apparently. ive read the books, but hope to see the sequels follow those books, otherwise we will have to call jason to crash the party with the producers, i guess.
well i think that wraps it up for now being. hope you don't call 999 and tell them there is a psycho on the net, otherwise you wont hear about new movies from me!!

Resolved Question: Are Guinea Pigs good pets in general?
Terrorbot, the new Guinea Pig has moved into the next door's neighbors home. As this was a special event within our close knit village community
we decided to throw a welcoming party-cum-barbeque in honor of the rodent as way of saying welcome and to make him feel at home.
So, on this lovely sunny autumnal day we supped punch and Pimms and waited his arrival.
"Oh!" Cries the neighbors Wife. "He's here, he's here!"
We all turned towards the oncoming car as it crunched up the gravveled driveway and silently waited as Terrorbot the Guinea Pig stepped out of the car. The silence amplified with wariness as the creature was dressed as a Teddy boy!
"Oh god. . no." I muttered reaching my wife's hand.
"Be calm VG, I'm sure he'll be fine." My Wife's tone betrayed her reassurance as the cocky little bugger began swaggering towards us.
"Oiright mate?" He said pulling on a Rothmans cigarrette baring his teeth and flicking the glowing stub in the Driver's face. Turning on us, combing his daft, crusty quiff and pulling up his lapels up around his neck, he sauntered towards his new owners with a sneering look on his furry gerbilly face.
"You the brains of the outfit eh?" Terrorbot asked the Master of his new home.
"Welcome Terrorbot. . . welcome to your new home!" The neighbor procured his hand. To which Terrorbot held out his paw also, but hastily drew it back and waggled his digits at him, trying not to appear flummoxed the neighbor laughed it off.
"Nyah nyah!" Chided the stupid little shite. "Got 'yer there mate, nyaaaah!"
Terrorbot quickly mooched over to his Mistress.
"Allo daahlin', wot's yer favorite color?"
"Erm. . pink?" She stated puzzled.
"Oh yeah? Take a look at these then." With that, he pulled down his drainpipes and hoisted up his underpants as his ball-bags protruded from either side of the pulled tight garment.
"OH! Really. . ", she wailed and ran off to the punch bowl for a refill.
"Now look here Terrorbot." Her husband scolded. "I will not tolerate this loutish behavior!"
"Shat it! Or I'll fackiiin' stripe 'yer!" The terrible Guinea pig snidely sneered, a little switchblade held in his paw. "Now, wheres 'yer decks?" Suitably intimidated, the chagrined neighbor went and got a three speed mono turntable and took a step back, as Terrorbot started putting on all of these old Rockabilly records and proceeded to "Bop" "Twist" and "jive" to the music with his stupid looking super thick platform suede brothel creepers.
Well, not wanting to spoil the day we assumed the eating and drinking and waited for the little blighter to get tired and put him in his new hatch,
Glad to be of service, VG.
