Resolved Question: Why does it cost so much to fly to Boise Idaho? Is it a small airport or something? ?
My friend and her sister want to fly their to see family for the holidays and plane tickets range from 500-1000 dollars!! Per person! That's crazy. I can find tickets for my mom the same date going to CT for $59.........does anyone know where I can find cheaper tickets or a more popular airline flying into Boise?

Resolved Question: Transportation ideas ?
6 people need to travel from Boise, ID to Milwaukee, WI for Christmas.
Any ideas on how to get there cheaply and safe?
So far, this is what I have come up with:
Air $3000 1 day travel time
Car $1000 2-3 days travel time, have to drive across Wyoming in winter
Train $1200 2-3 days travel time, have to drive to salt lake city
RV $1650 2-3 days travel time, have to drive across Wyoming in winter
Bus $3000 2-3 days travel time
Any ideas?
Car gets 20 mph, price includes 2 hotel nights while traveling
RV gets 8 mph

Resolved Question: My Ford Focus got 400 miles to a full tank of gas on a recent trip. How does this compare to other cars?
I drove from Phoenix to Boise (exactly 1000 miles) and used only 2 and 1/2 tanks. I had the cruise control set to 60 mph the entire way.
How does this gas mileage rate on a scale of 1-10? (10 being the best)

Resolved Question: Which soccer club in Boise, Idaho?
Hi , I play for the age 15 league but currently in a non-competitve league (somewhat for recreation) and hope to try out a club team in Boise. There are 3 main teams and don't know which one to try out. Here are the details.
Idaho Rush - This is the most advanced soccer team with lots of wins. There are 3 teams Teams A, B, C. (A being the best and C not the best). Many of my friends are there but I don't want to embarras myself...It cost 600 bucks and the coaches there are top quality. (Overall really good but hard to get in...)
Boise Nationals - I personally think the 2nd best. Some of my friends are their but this club is somewhat new to me... (I'm not fully familiar with this club) it cost about 700 bucks
Capital - For rich kids! No one I know is there and it cost 1000 bucks but they suck and have the best equipment (overall I can probably make it in but it sucks.)
I'm a okay soccer player mostly a good defender.
Any good advices would help. THANKS!

C is the point along the coast directly west of boise. it cost 2 cents per mile to transport by truck. and 1 cent to transport by ship. The company wants to find the point along the coast to which it should truck the goods before loading them aboard a ship in order to minimize the total cost of transporting them from boise to San diego.
Set up the function which the company must minimize
find position on the coast which minimizes cost.

Boise, Idaho is about 300 miles inland from the nearest point on the Pacific Coast; San Diego is about 1000 miles south of the point down the coast. Assuming the coast is a straight line going north south, C is the point along the coast directly west of Boise. It costs 2 cents/mile to transport a ton of potatoes by truck and 1 cent/mile to transport a ton of potatoes by ship. The Idaho Potato company wants to find the point P on the Pacific Coast to which it should truck it's potatoes before loading them aboard a cargo ship in order to minimize the cost of transporting them from Boise to San Diego. A) Set up the function which the Idaho potato company must minimize. B) find the position of P which minimizes cost.

My girl moved here to boise idaho from portland oregon and is feeling really blue recently.
