What do you think about Boise State running back Ian Johnson and Chrissy Popadics the cheerleader which were married Saturday in a traditional ceremony at Cathedral of the Rockies First United Methodist Church Johnson, who is black, has said he received phone calls and about 30 letters, including personal threats from people who objected to his plans to marry his white fiancee. Johnson has not described the threats, and it is unclear where they came from. The ceremony began with the prayer and ended with the couple jumping over a broom -- an African tradition signifying the couple jumping into a new life together There seems to be a lot of bad things being said, well I want to know what yahoo members really think - be honest. Is it okay to marry another race or a bad idea? Will any children be picked on? I grew up in a black neighborhood, and I am white, I am not racist - I just want to know. Resolved Question: Where should I look for houses in the Boise, Meridian and Nampa areas? Where should I stay away form? Read on!
My husband has had many opportunities to take transfers to Idaho- the Boise, Nampa and Meridian areas. We live in Las Vegas right now, and have two small children. I want to be looking for a house in the better parts of town- not the million dollar homes you know! Just your better, upper class neighborhoods. What areas would you suggest we look in? What areas should we stay away from? Any other suggestions for someone considering a move to Idaho? Thanks!! :) We are looking to buy. Renting would only be a last resort, and only while looking for a home. With two kids, we want a larger yard- around 1/2-1 acre, and a larger home- around 2,500-3,000 sqft. (more...)
