Resolved Question: Is it true that colleges try not to split up twins if they both apply?
I heard that colleges try not to split up twins who apply to the same college, for instance if one twin applies to a college, the other twin as a better chance of getting in. I know this wouldnt be true if they were applying to an Ivy and there were major differences in grades, but what about a smaller college (Boise State)? My twin really wants to go to Boise state, but is borderline to getting in, he got a 1400 on the PSAT, and is about a B-C average. I know if i applied to Boise state i could get in( not to sound arrogant) so if i apply and get in does that give my brother a better chance of getting in? My Brother is also fluent in spanish, ( were in a spanish program that we started in kindergarten), captain of the wrestling team, and a officer at our schools Pep Club. He is also taking multiple AP classes. (more...)

Resolved Question: College Football, Conference Realignment?
In order to have 6 Conference Championship Games and more money through those CG's. Plus we won't have to hear about how the 12 team conferences have such a harder road to travel. The non-BCS teams will adjust, and at least after this shift don't have to worry about getting picked from again. I'm more interested in whether you think it's a good idea than a realistic possibility, I know it ain't gonna happen. What do you think? SEC- Stays the Same East Division Kentucky Vanderbilt Tennessee South Carolina Georgia Florida West Division Mississippi St. Ole Miss Alabama Arkansas Auburn LSU Big 12- Stays the same North Division Colorado Nebraska Kansas St. Kansas Iowa St. Missouri South Division Oklahoma St. Oklahoma Texas Tech Baylor Texas A&M Texas ACC- adds South Florida and East Carolina becasue both schools fit perfectly into the ACC geography, just look at the map, the fewer travel expenses the better. Virginia Tech and Boston College go back to the Big East. Atlantic Division Maryland Wake Forest North Carolina St. Clemson Florida St. *South Florida Coastal Division *East Carolina Virginia Duke North Carolina Georgia Tech Miami Pac-12- adds Utah and BYU, a great rivalry. The Pac 12 could possibly add Boise State and Hawaii instead. North Division Washington Washington St. Oregon Oregon St. *Utah *BYU South Division California Stanford UCLA USC Arizona Arizona St. Big 10- ignore the name. It adds it's longtime welcomed guest Notre Dame and Central Michigan. Penn State joins the Big East. North Division *Central Mich. Wisconsin *Notre Dame Mich. St. Michigan Minnesota South Division Illinois Northwestern Purdue Indiana Ohio St. Iowa Big East- Adds the NYC market with Army, the Balt-DC market with Navy and adds one of the best rivalries in College Football. By adding BC and VT it adds the Boston Market, and two rivals who already are familiar with the Big East and rikindles those rivalries. Penn State also adds and excellent team and renews the Pitt-Penn game which was once a major rivalry. North Division Syracuse *Boston College Connecticut *Army Rutgers *Penn State South Division West Virginia *Virginia Tech Louisville *Navy Cincinnati Pittsburgh Any rivals that find themselves in seperate divisions can solve this with a permenant rival like Pitt-Penn State, Army-Navy, ND-Purdue, Minn-Iowa and Mich-Ohio State. Whatta ya think? (more...)

Resolved Question: What college should I attend?
Help! I don't know where to go to school. I want to major in Political Science and get a good job in a competitive field. Here are my choices: San Francisco State- in-state, cheaper tuition, not a prestigious school Cal Poly San Luis Obispo: not a great location but cheaper tuition University of Nevada, Reno: out of state tuition, good school Boise State University: tuition break, far from home (not such a bad thing:) University of Connecticut: EXPENSIVE and far from home, but it is a great school and will open up more doors. Do schools really matter when looking for jobs and internships? I live in California and I have a cumulative 3.76 gpa, and a 1760 SATs. Any suggestions?? THANKS (more...)

Resolved Question: What should I tell my boyfriend?
I have been on and off with my bf for bout 5 years. I am really in love with him. But there is one semester of high school left, then its off to college. I live in Indiana, but I plan on going to Boise State. My bf is skeptical about going, and i do not know how to convince him to go with me, what should I do? (more...)

Resolved Question: Doesn't a non BSC school ranked 12 or higher supposed to get an automatic bsc bowl game?
When I was watching tv earlier in the season they said that if a non bsc school ranks in the top 12 they are guaranteed a bsc bowl game. But didn't Boise State and Utah both finish in the top 12 and niether one got a bsc bowl game? (more...)

Resolved Question: NCAA div 1-aa schools walk on?
i plan on applying to these schools nd walking on to football but i want to get a chance to play alot to where should i go.list 3 schls East carolina univ Arkankas univ miami michigan state illnois south carolina oregon oregon st. pittsburg vanderbilt boise state n.c state i am trying out 4 TE or i mean div-1 u know wat i mean (more...)

Resolved Question: Are you tired of Non-BCS schools whining?
Like Boise, i mean sure they went undefeated and sure they beat Oregon but they dont schedule any ELITE teams. I just dont think they should be cryin about being left out until they start scheduling some elite teams like USC, Ohio State, Florida, Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia, etc. You cant say you deserve to be in a BCS until you PROVE that you can hang with BCS caliber teams. Oh and BTW, dont mention the OU Boise game... that was 2 yrs ago. Each season is different. agree? @ Jared: Oh yeah, new mexico state, Hawaii, San Jose State, Idaho, Southern Miss...wow what an accomplishment lol alright... lets just wait till the outcome of 'Bama v Utah... my guess is 42-10 'Bama (more...)

Resolved Question: Ian Johnson vs Reggie Bush?
Who has had a moore impressive collegiate career out of Ian Johnson (who yes is still at college but only really has a bowl game left before hes out) and Reggie Bush? In relation, who do you think is the better RB? Would either have had the same sucess if they had swapped schools? i.e. reggie bush at Boise and Johnson at USC (more...)

Resolved Question: Why does the BCS make it difficult for non-BCS schools to get into BCS bowl games?
History has shown us that teams like Utah and Boise St. can more than hold their own against the "big" schools like Oklahoma and Florida, etc. So why does the BCS make it so hard for non-BCS schools to get in? Wouldn't college football fans enjoy seeing the best possible teams playing each other, not the best possible teams from preferred conferences? (more...)

Resolved Question: Is College Football segregated geographically?
Remind me why USC is able to give the excuse "you can't punish us for being in the "Crap-10". Yet the little guys (Utah, BYU, Boise, TCU) are punished for it. Meaning their conferences are not allowed to be considered "Big". This is especially silly to me, considering I go to Mississippi State, which has an attendance of under 18,000, and there are many more "Big Six" schools with low enrollement. Utah has an attendance of just under 36,000, BYU has attendance of 34,000...TCU not so much. I couldn't find a number on BSU. So what has college football come to? Segregation by geographical location? The only reason that the "smaller schools" can't compete with the "bigger schools" is because the "big six" schools have been given an unfair advantage in the recruiting world... (more...)
