I'm thinking about adding a fixed gear track bike to my collection but I'm not sure where to find an affordable frame for this... I know Sette makes a great frame for about $100... and I guess I could wait til the warmer weather comes around and hit up some yardsales for old road frames or something... Resolved Question: I still don't understand?
I asked a question a day or so ago and no one answered the question I was asking so maybe I worded it wrong...idk? But my question again is: If a horse is in a frame with their back up(and all that stuff...i know ppls definitions of it are different)but if they are in a frame then their weight is on their quarters and really the goal of putting a horse in a frame is to shift more weight on the hind end...AND when you bend a horse on a circle correctly they HAVE to shift their weight to their hind end in order to bend....AND in order to do *collection* the horses weight has to be on their quarters...so say a horse was NOT on the bit but they were bending correctly on a circle then their weight would be on their quarters...so you could technically do collection right? so in short: does a horse have to be on the bit to do collection? because if they are on a circle and bending then they could do collection?????? OMG im asking...but when a horse is on a circle and bending their weight is on their hind(even if they arent on the bit)so they should b able to collect right? (more...)

Resolved Question: is my limited edition Salvador Dali print genuine?
it says DEMART 1988 954/2000, looks like it's printed on material/cloth of some kind, it's about a metre square in it's frame. I suspect the print was originally bought in the Eighty's so the chances are good that it's a fake of some kind, but I'd like to know for sure. @ Butterfly - that's got to hurt... I'd like to sell mine but I'm not about to spend cash on defining it's authenticity, so the best I can do is check it's actually a Dali work, and then sell it on that basis, and be honest about it. Resolved Question: REM music video - was this originally shot on 16mm or maybe Super-8 film?
I'm sure everyone knows the song "It's the End Of The World As We Know It" by R.E.M. I think I first heard the song and I saw the music video on MTV sometime in the early 1990s, when I was a kid...maybe around 1992 or 1993. (Back when MTV was actually playing music videos instead of lame reality tv shows). I looked it up, and the song is actually from 1987. I had no idea it was that old. Anyway, I found it on YouTube.. After I had a chance to see the video again a few times on YouTube, I noticed something interesting...that it looks like it might have actually been shot on film. I don't know what they would have been using to shoot music videos at that time (late 1980's), but does anyone know if it might originally have been shot on 16mm or Super-8 movie film? I'm seeing color bursts and momentary flashing that looks a lot like what I see on 8mm movie cameras. You get flashing now and then because a few frames of film are sometimes overexposed when the shutter first starts or stops. I shoot 8mm movie film as a hobby, (I have a collection of vintage 8mm movie cameras) and somehow this looks a LOT like 8mm or 16mm movie film. What do you think? I seriously need help shopping for my mother. She is impossible to shop for. She has everything, buys what she wants, and is very picky. She loves to sew and cook. She is 52 years old, works (commutes) full time as a RN. She has a cook book collection and has tons of them. She has her own sewing room and every possible thing she would possibly need in there. Does anyone have any creative ideas? If I got together w/ my brother & his wife and we went and had a picture done of all of her grand kids together and had it blown up and framed, would that be a good idea? Any other thoughts? Resolved Question: how long will an sd card last?
im gonna buy a digital photo frame and use it as a photo album, im only gonna use the disk once then when its full label it them store them and build a collection like you would photo albums, my concern is that will the disks keep the photos safe inside for years to come? It would be absolutly devastating if i lost my snaps years later. I do think its a great idea though coz its alot easier to store and you have'nt got the big cost of printing your photos, i cant be bothered to store them on my pc as back up coz im a lazy sod!! Ha ha ha, but all i want to know basically is will the sd card (good quality ones like sandisk) keep all my photos inside for lots of years? Or will they just wipe off after a certain time? I will keep them dry and at room temp. Any ideas from you would be very helpful indeed. if you say cd or dvd which one is best? One person has said dont use cd-rw or dvd-rw, which format is best and how do i do it? Sorry but ive really got no idea about all this coz ive never transfered photos or data to disk before, which disk and which format? Cheers. (more...)
