Open Question: Filling out Military Medical Forms for going over seas?
My husband is in the Air Force, and just found out that we are moving to Elmendorf AFB in Alaska. He gave me the medical forms that I am supposed to get filled out for my daughter and me and I am wondering if a Chiropractor or a Nurse Practitioner are considered a "Qualified Medical Professional" as the paper work states that is who has to fill it out? Where I live there it is hard to find an MD who accepts Tricare. Also, My husband said that I should only have one set of papers filled out to cover my daughter and me, but the way the paper work is set up and worded, seems like I need a set for her and a set for me. Open Question: Does a towing company have a legal obligation to contact the owner of a vehicle once they have towed it?
A friend of mine had his vehicle parked at an apartment complex where he lived. He was given notice by the complex to move the vehicle, so he did. Two days later the car was towed anyways. He was given the name of a small towing company and told that he needed to contact them to get the car back. He has contacted them repeatedly, several times a week since March and every time, the woman tells him she's busy and not in the office so he needs to call back later. We've stopped by her shop several times and she is never there. She now is telling us that after 30 days she could do what she wanted with the car, so It was probably junked. My question is, did she have the legal right to do anything with the car, considering she never contacted him, and his attempts to contact her were unsuccessful because she refused to return his calls? Open Question: is there hope? how much ?
I have been very close to a girl for a little over a year now. writing, calling, dinners, vacations, sleepovers, etc. While we never considered ourselves to be dating, our relationship was more than friends with benefits. I got out of the army in august, following my last tour in Iraq, during which we maintained communication and picked right back up where we had left off. I got a new job closer to her, I lived in New Mexico and she lived in Tennessee. I found work in Little Rock but while I was moving she was working 2 jobs and finishing up her finals. She had asked me not to contact her as she would only be getting a couple hours of sleep and didn't want to be disturbed until her graduation. I was in a new area where I knew noone and after a couple of weeks fell back on my old habits of sending her text messages, she responded at first then stopped, when I tried harder to get in touch with her worried about her well-being, she finally responded saying I never listened to her during the relationship, I had been demeaning, and I had woken her up yet again. Surprised at some of these revelations, I responded back that I understood she was mad, and I would give her time and we could talk about the rest when she was ready, and if I was still welcome I wanted to go to her graduation. When her graduation came, I was not re-invited. I was hurt and angry and tried to contact her to express that I just wanted to be there to congratulate her and got no response. I felt that since she didn't want to talk to me I would end things for her since she left them open and delete her from my facebook, myspace, messenger etc. I sent a message stating such and proceeded to remove her. The next day she responded saying that she hadn't gotten back in touch with me because she was still angry, and most recently because she was busy with her graduation. She did want to end the relationship, but had seen no reason to end the friendship, but if I wanted to that was fine by her. I replied that I didn't want to end the friendship, had though she did. I then proceeded to write her to try to restore our friendship, but all my letters sounded desperate so I stopped after the fifth (in three days). She then called me when 4 of the letters arrived in one day, saying that had to stop. She said that she had felt that our relationship was over in September (when she recomended I move to Little Rock, because it was so close to Memphis where she lived). Restated that I never listened to her, that she was busy graduation weekend when I tried like hell to reach her and that she was done. I have stopped all communication with her as I know that what she wants most from me right now is to not contact her, but my question is .. Is there a chance that we will be friends again? I know friendships endure all, but does all include telling someone who doesn't have feelings for you that you have feelings for them? Does it include gross miscommunication ? I am moving forward with my life, but I feel that I have lost a friend and want to maintain her in my life. Yes, I know that things like our next relationships won't be the most comfortable topic of conversation, but after everything we have shared I don't want this to be the way we remember each other. Open Question: should i actually go for it?
there is this guy i like. we are really good friends and always flirt with each other...when he is around. he has this habit of being around constantly for a while, then being gone for a couple months. it isn't his fault because he doesn't live in town and usually has no way to get here. the problem is i really like him; he's everything i want in a guy. i miss him and i get the feeling he misses me because when we hang out his favorite thing to say to me is "just like old times," like when we used to hang out every day and he lived 5 minutes away. i guess my question is...should i ask him out? i'd like to think that if we were going out we could stay in touch more, but i don't want a relationship where i never see him. i have a good feeling he would say yes considering we're both single, and we've had this kind of flirty, different friendship for a while. but every time i think i'm going to make the move he ends up having to go back home. again, not his fault, but it makes it harder to ask when i feel like he's gonna leave. should i...or not? Open Question: Why does my roommate's black lab keep jumping on me?
When I am home alone with the dog, he barely notices me. I let him outside when I get home to do his business and he is very obedient, always coming back in when called. He will even come in my room to hang out and lay on the floor. However, the minute my roommate gets home, he jumps on me constantly. I can't even leave me room to go to the bathroom without getting attacked. He jumps on me constantly and sometimes will nip my hands. My roommate always tells him no and tells me to ignore him, but nothing has worked so far. Any ideas? If he snags one more sweater, I'm going to seriously consider moving. (more...)

Open Question: Artists who touch upon the boundaries of controversy?
I'm looking for a list of contemporary, fairly famous artists who are investigate the boundaries of controversy in art. I'm doing my final-year art project for university. It's about portraying quite unpleasant concepts (such as torture), but the final piece has to be thought provoking and moving, yet not so graphic or obscene that people will not stop to consider the concepts. I want people to question their own belief system, but in a quite abstract and subtle way. Can you think of any artists I can use as a basis for my work? (more...)

Open Question: So what point do you think *Believers* will have a NEW GLORIFIED BODY?
Some additional info on this God has promised every saved person a new and very much improved body. Christians will receive their new bodies at the Rapture. The Old Testament believers and the believers who die during the Tribulation period will receive their new bodies when they are raised from the dead at the First Resurrection. People who believed during the Millennial Kingdom and those considered worthy of everlasting life at the White Throne Judgment will receive theirs when they are judged righteous at that time, after the Second Resurrection A New GLORIFIED BODY would be without AGE meaning we could not have a Glorified Body and be of a earthly age as 1 yr 20 yr 50 yr etc... The Bible says our new bodies will be ?spiritual,? not ?natural.? What it means to have a spiritual body is partly clarified in Corinthians. 1 Corinthians 15:45-49 (45) So it is written: ?The first man Adam became a living being?; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. (46) The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. (47) The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. Second, Jesus himself told his disciples that he was not a spirit. After his resurrection, he appeared to his disciples who, when they first saw him, thought he was a spirit. Unfortunately, the NIV translates the Greek word pneuma, ?spirit,? as ?ghost.? The correct translation is ?spirit,? and Christ plainly said that he was not a spirit being but a human being with flesh and bone So we would have a Physical BODY yet it would come from spirtual means not soul as ADAM was created from dust and came to life as a sould when GOD bles life in his nostrils. WILL WE DO AS CHRIST DID IN A SPIRITUAL BODY? Christ can surely do what angels can do and more. He is not limited to the laws of physics as we understand them. After the resurrection he appeared inside locked rooms (John 20:19 and 26), instantaneously moved from one place to another (Luke 24:31) (Acts 1:9; Heb. 4:14). The fact that he could do these things still does not mean that his body was not flesh and bone or was not ?physical.? Rather it means that Christ could use his authority to do things that would ordinarily be placed in the category of a ?miracle.? (more...)

Open Question: Moving Out/ Grad school - Financial Aid Advice?
I am in the process of moving away from home (finally). My parents won't pay for any of the expenses. Yet I also wanted to apply to grad school and I can't get financial aid becuase my parents make more than the limit. Now on my own I don't have a job and I have some savings but not really enough to live on my own and attend grad school. So the main question is...it doesn't seem like i qualify for most types of financial aid, or enough of it. Does anyone know better places I should be looking for financial aid? And should I consider loans? I don't think I will qualify for anything government sponsored because my parents make a decent income but i am very hesitant to take out a private loan becuase of high interest rates and the economy. any advice is welcome, thanks!
