    Resolved Question: Cutting aluminum window screen with miter saw?
    Is it possible to cut an aluminum window screen with a miter saw? I need to replace one of our screen frames (the old one is bent) and found the frame kits at Home Depot. I tried using a hack saw but because I had to "pin" the frame piece down with my hand on the work bench while cutting, I ended up bending the frame due to the force it took to cut the thing. Since I have to create a miter cut anyway, I was wondering if it was possible to use a miter saw to do the whole thing. Is there a special blade I need? Thanks! (more...)

    Resolved Question: How much concrete would it take to fill a hole 12 inch dia x 12 inch deep?
    I am putting in 16 footings for benches at a Regional Park and need to buy the right amount of concrete (quikcrete). This is for an Eagle project and I want to buy the concrete in 60lb bags at Home Depot. I won't have extra money so I don't wnat to buy more than I need. I would appreciate any ones opinion. Thanks!     What would be the best wood to use that's suitable for lots of rain, hot weather, bugs? we have various stories in my location: lowe's, home depot, lumber liquidators, harbor freight, etc. I figure it will be 4 feet in length, but im not sure how tall the back should be. help? and web sites that answer my questions. i meant stores, not stories. =] more details: Um, I am trying to make it as cheap as possible, like wood wise. My dad suggested using bolts too, so thats what I'm planing on using to put it together. and I will use lacquer, so it stays nice, and not as weathered.     Resolved Question: how can i make my dog stop eating the deck in the back yard? is there something i can put on it?
    shes eating all the wood outside in the back yard. shes eating the deck, and the benches and just everything wood. my mom has already replaced the deck so she keeps getting mad because shes eating holes in the corners. i know there is no use using a spray on the wood outside because its outside and i dont think it will work. do you know if they make something that we can put around the edges of the deck, like something rubber or plastic to protect it? i know if they do it will probably be at home depot or lowes, but has anyone had to do something like that? she has food you idiot, and im sorry, im not home all the time to give her my full attention, shes a puppy, puppies chew. if you dont have something useful or intelligent to say, dont answer questions.     Resolved Question: what does a place like say, home depot, wallmart, etc. do with returned, used, undamged merchandise?
    example: i returned a carpet shampooer to wall mart. not defective, just didnt like the way it performed. they opened the box and inspected its contents and said ok. even though. it was missing two items from its contents, owners manual and 1 attachment. (i know this cause these two items were on my bench when i got home. oops!) so now they have an item that is slightly used, yet practically brand new!. It cant be put back on the shelf and resold. it cant be returned to manufacturer as it is not defective and its missing parts. what comes of these items that fall into this... "product purgatory"?     Resolved Question: What kind of sink can I use outdoors, exposed to the weather?
    I am building a potting bench outside, and would like to put in a sink. Can I use a stainless steel sink outside, or does it need to be plastic or resin? Where can I find one? I definitely don't want one of those plastic portable potting benches you can buy at Home Depot or Lowe's. What types of material are exceptable for outdoor use that will be exposed to sun, rain, etc.? It won't be in a covered area. (more...)
