Long story...I ended up getting divorced last year and my wife left me with a ton of debt and two car payments while I was medically unable to work. My lawyer decided it was probably in my best interest to file for chapter 7 so I did in August of 2008. I had my hearing rescheduled being unable to make it because of medical problems. I ended up getting a great job at the end of the year and made more than enough money to pay my debts. Problem is my lawyer said if I try to "unfile" it will still reflect on my credit and I might as well keep going with it. My problem now is because of the bankruptcy I had to return my vehicle and I am basically in limbo without any sort of transportation. My ex-wife got off clean and free and got to keep the vehicle I paid off and I have been footing it and getting by so far. I have my chapter 7 hearing this week, I would like to finance a car for about $15K or less with money down. I spoke to a few dealerships and they said they can't do any thing until after my court hearing so the companies won't get dragged into the Chapter 7. Other people are telling me I need to wait 60 days for actual paperwork before I can finance a vehicle. Which is right is there any thing I can do to get financing soon other than a "buy here pay here". I understand interest rates are going to be high as a penalty of the BK. (more...)

I place the cd-r disc into the burning drive and everything goes fine, it tells me the disc is burning, then it tells me its done, and then wraps up. I take the cd out and then place it in my mp3 cd player and it doesn't work. I've used Nero's Audio file and Nero's MP3 maker. Neither have worked. I've downloaded mp3 files from different sources, I've converted from youtube, I've tried almost anything to get this fricken song on a cd but nothing works. The brand of CD is Memorex cool colors CD-R Details;; Recordable * 48X * 700MB * 80min I've looked up to see if the cd was the problem but all the sites say its a brilliant brand with no problems so... I'm at a loss. I'm trying to make a cd of one downloaded song for my mother who is in love with this one song we can't find in stores. Can anyone help, because I'm seriously trying to get her happy after the death of someone close and this song will do it for her... If only if I can put it on a stupid CD already... She is coming home soon... My father now just told me the cd-r that I have been using and the bunch in the corner are all used... So that would for some reason mean they won't be over recorded unless they were erased? My dad just handed me a bunch of new cd-r discs, so I hope this works... (more...)

About a week ago something woke me up. I sat up, and floating right in front of my face was this black, glowing ball about the size of a tennis ball. You'd think that if someone saw that, they'd completely freak, but I didn't. I actually felt safe and went back to sleep. It didn't even seem real, and I only remember about two seconds of it because I was so sleepy. It seemed almost like a dream, but I know it wasn't because other weird things have also been happening. We have a huge filing cabinet in the front hall, and for a while, a drawer kept magically opening by itself. But it stopped after my dad said something about it. I always thought my house was haunted because a year ago I saw something that still scares me. I saw an orb just like the black one, but it was just gray and foggy. As soon as I saw it I got this terrible scary feeling and it zoomed up into my attic, which I always hated as well. My mom has even seen the gray one, and what scares me most is that it's intelligent. My mom would look at it, and it would dart away, then she would turn around, and it would be there looking at her again. I feel that this gray one isn't a good spirit, but it's been here since we moved here. I think the black one is just curious, but it seems like these things happen to me, and no one else. And sometimes I see things that no one else does, like gray figures. I don't mind the black orb, but I was just wondering why it just decided to come out of nowhere. It's never been here before. And when I tell my friend about it on IM, my IM just stops working, only when I talk about the orb. And my internet strength is excellent. Then it just comes back on after about 10 minutes. Anyone know what's going on? For those of you calling me phsycho and stupid, shut up. Seriously. I didn't ask you to insult me and be rude to me. I asked if anyone knew where this nice spirit came from. If you're going to be rude, don't even leave a comment. If you don't believe in ghosts, just say so. I am healthy and me or my mother don't have mental problems. Learn some manners. I'm sure you wouldn't walk up to someone you don't know and call them phsycho now would you? I don't have a brain tumor. I know what I saw was real, and I don't care if you believe me or not, but you don't have to be so rude about it. (more...)

When I started dating my now fiance, he was still friends with his X girlfriend. I think they dated for somewhere around 4 years. He broke up with her because she didn't give him enough attention. I guess he said she was more consumed with her own pursuits in life than their relationship. They remained good friends but he mentioned that he thought she wasn't completely over him and still needed to be close to him. He still had some of her artwork up in his apartment and some emotional looking gifts she'd made on his shelf. She also had tons of photos and files onhis computer including semi-intimate ones. I didn't think it would be a problem when we started dating because I just thought it was a passing phase. I thought he was phasing her out. Soon, we began to meet up with her and I thought "this is kind of uncomfortable but I think I can be ok with it." That was also because she was kind of seeing someone so it was a little more comfortable. Then she stopped seeing the guy and still wanted to hang out with us and sometimes called my boyfriend up to chat about what was gong on with her life. We would hang out with her once in a while and I tried to warm upto her so that I could be ok with this relationship but she kept me at a distance. When we all hung out she would talk on and on about herself, which I'm sure was an insecure reaction to the awkward situation. I told my fiance how uncomfortable this whole thing was. In fact I was bawling and crying because it was so confusing. He didn't know what to do because he didn't want to lose his friend. He also cried very hard and was super depressed. That just made me even more upset because it showed he still really cared for her. He would try to say "she's just a friend" but I can't get over the fact that once she's been his lover she will always be his xgirlfriend to me and not just his friend. He took down the most of her art and put all of her computer pictures and files on his website for upload so that they weren't on his comp anymore. We hung out the three of us a couple of months ago. It was brutally painful for me because things about their past kept coming up. She mentioned a place they'd been together (that I'd seen in her pictures on the comp). I just can't feel ok with it. When we got home I started crying because I was so confused. After a long discussion we decided the best thing for us would be to not see her anymore. I wanted to slowly wean her away and they could just slowly grow apart as many friendships naturally do. But he felt that was cruel and wanted to talk to her and tell her the problem.-which she is going to throw a fit (she has before). That was the last we talked about it. that was like two months ago...I don't know if he's talked to her or not. I haven't wanted to bring it up and all the stress with it but I'm so unhappy. The thought of her and the whole situation haunts me. When I see the same kind of car she drives I get sick to my stomach and depressed. He never mentions her or anything to do with her but he seems very happy despite. He is the absolute man of my dreams and my fiance. I need to be happy before we make this life commitment. Please help...how do I feel better. How do I get over it and just be secure... should I have done something different?? (more...)

I downloaded a Private server of a certain game. I registered and downloaded it to my PC. I installed the game in my PC and it seems to not work. This pretty much happens allot with private servers. Yet I searched the name of the server in google and there are no chats about the game no forums no questions all I could find are questions about how to install it and why it doesn't work. Then I became suspicious. Luckily I used a random user-name and password and I deleted the files as soon as it seemed like it's not a real server. Time passed and I could enter certain sites. examples are: www.cucirca.com/2007/05/06/watch-prison-break-online/ www.xtremetop100.com and alot more. I learned my lesson. No more private servers. I am going to have to file Bankruptcy Chapter 7. I've tried everything to avoid it. There's no other choice. I'm trying to find a lawyer to choose. Before I file though, I have a few questions. 1) I have a credit card that has a little bit of credit left on it. A lot of people are telling me to go ahead & use that credit & get me some clothes, things I need. Before I file. Is that okay to do? I'm a person that wants to follow the law. Is there one stating you can't use a credit card right before filing bankruptcy? 2) I'll be getting back my income tax w/in the next month or so. I really need it to get my car fixed & do some other important things. It's money I'm going to need (including having to use it to pay for the lawyer). But if it's in my checking account, can they count that as "income" or can they take that money from me (Chapter 7)? If so, wouldn't it look bad if I withdrew it all as soon as it was deposited & they saw my bank statement saying so? I want to do this right, but I want to know what all I can legally still do (like spending a credit card right before filing & if my income tax in my checking will hurt me or be taken from me). My son lied to me to get me to put a truck on my credit card for him. He has high blood pressure. He told me if he didn't get away from the woman he was with she was going to kill him by refusing to give him money for a doctor or meds. He said he could not take the stress being with her any more. He said he was scared of having a heart attack or stroke, she controlled his pay checks. He said he wanted to move back here to be close to his 9 year old daughter, He promised to make payments. As soon as he got the truck he was right back seeing this woman. When he got his first pay check 2 days before Christmas he went shopping for himself buying $70 shoes pants shirts. He didn't buy his daughter or any one else one thing..Then 2 days after Christmas he moved back to where this woman is to be close to her. After 2 months of payments I have made to keep from ruining my credit, He told me to " take your happy ass to the court house and file charges on me." I am disabled and on SSI. Can I file charges on him or explotation of the ederly and disabled? He is an alarm installer. He makes $15 an hour. He stayed with me for 6 weeks before he got his job. He also owes me $700 in cash he promised to pay as soon as he went to work. (more...)

Hey guys, I want to switch operating systems on my laptop, and I have lots of pictures and documents. Can I use flash drives to store these files? Where do I buy them, because I need to get them soon. How much money are they? And I heard that to get it working properly, you need to install drivers. I have a list to get, but I don't know how, and I don't know how to store them. Someone said on an iPod, but I don't know how to actually transfer them to the iPod and get them baack on my computer! I have Counter-Strike: Source installed on my computer with Steam and I'll be moving to a new computer soon. Do I just move the game files to the new hard drive, or the whole Steam program file folder? I do not intend on using the game on more than one computer. So in other words I have to re-download the game and reinstall it? There's no way I can just copy what's been installed already? (more...)
