Open Question: Would soy sauce work as a Vegemite/Marmite substitute for somebody(me) to try its taste w/o having to buy it?
Would soy sauce work as a Vegemite/Marmite substitute for somebody(me) to try its taste w/o having to buy it? For some reason people on youtube cannot describe its flavor using words or comparing it to other food items. From the few clues on Wikipedia & Youtube, it seems to taste somewhat like soy sauce. I imagine it tastes as salty soy sauce crystals that collect on bottles mouths and caps. (more...)

Resolved Question: Hi....can you help me?
Hello My cousins and I are planning a party for our family. It has a southern United States theme. The thing is, we are not sure what to cook! I have a list of southern food but there is so much! And it varies with region. What is common in Texas (with a lot of mexican influences) isn't as common in, say, Louisiana (with a lot of french influences). Can you give me some ideas? I find this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_foods_of_the_Southern_United_States What are some favorites? What should I choose? We want to try out as much as we can. Thank you! And if it helps, we are Italians. (more...)

Open Question: Question about Generalized Anxiety Disorder!?
When I went to the doctor at the start of December, he said that I am showing signs of "General Anxiety Disorder". I'm not going to explain the whole story, because I don't want to bore you. Anyway it has gotten worse around.. October. My brother got food poisoning from Mcdonalds (big surprise) in March and ever since I've been worried about getting it, but not uncontrollably. Since October, this worry has gotten MUCH worse, and its now affecting every thing I eat- I don't even trust my mom's cooking a lot of the time. This worry also in eating eggs (salmonella) and eating Cadbury chocolate (the plastic found in the milk in the summer). I know that ones gone so I don't worry about that one much. I looked him GAD on Wikipedia and when it listed the diagnosis, it explains a lot about whats going on with me. but When I look at the symptoms, I don't show any of them. Do I have GAD or is there something similar to it that I have? (Or at least am showing signs of). Please help me. Thanks! (more...)

Open Question: How can I tell if a food is a monosaccharide or a polysaccharide when I look at its molecular structure?

Resolved Question: Can anybody simplify this for me..about Korean War?
As quote from wikipedia: "Korea had been a unified country since the 7th century. In 1895, Japan defeated China in the First Sino-Japanese War of 1894?5, and their Japanese forces remained in Korea, occupying strategically important parts of the country. To Japan, a late arriving player in the game of great powers, Korea seemed a natural fit in their sphere of influence.[21]:22 Ten years later, the Japanese defeated the Russian navy in the Russo-Japanese War (1904?5), contributing to Japan's emergence as an imperial power.[22]. Following the end of the Russo-Japanese War, The Japanese declared Korea was their protectorate and expanded their control over local institutions despite Korean opposition. In August 1910, a treaty of Annexation was signed.[23] While Korean nationalists from both North and South Korea have their own versions of life under Japanese rule, it was clear that Japanese policies were harsh.[21]:23 Educated Koreans and nationalists were all endangered and most fled. The harshness intensified as Japan became increasingly militant in the 1930s; Korean and its literature were banned from schools and conscription began in 1938. During the Second World War, 2.6 million Koreans were conscripted for forced labour (in addition to the kidnapped "Comfort Women"). Japan, especially as the American submarine campaign intensified, stripped out all livestock, rice stocks, and metal?causing much hardship.[24]. At the close of World War II, forces of both the Soviet Union and the United States occupied the peninsula in accordance with an agreement put forth by the United States government to divide the Korean peninsula. This decision, which was made without consultation of the Korean people, was made by then Colonel Dean Rusk and Army officer Charles Bonesteel.[25] The Soviet forces entered the peninsula on August 10, 1945 and remained north of the 38th parallel waiting for the US forces to arrive. A few weeks later, the American forces entered through Incheon led by U.S. Army Lt. Gen. John R. Hodge and formally accepted the surrender of Japanese forces south of the 38th parallel on September 9, 1945 at Government House in Seoul.[26] At the end of the Second World War Korea was under-developed industrially and in terms of infrastructure, and famine was widespread as a result of Japanese confiscation of food-stocks. Further worsening Korea's situation: few qualified Korean administrative personnel remained." (more...)

Voting Question: Did you know that the USA, particularly the Rockefeller family, funded Nazi eugenics?
Eugenics actually ORIGINATED in America, stemming from Confederate racism long before it reached Germany. Americans would pass laws, sterilizing people, mostly children, with deformities or low test scores. The eugenicists then decided to spread their ideas abroad. They had success in many countries, but the most in Germany. Many prominent American eugenicists worked hand-in-hand with Nazi scientists, aiding them in their quest create a master race. The Rockefellers openly funded Hitler's rise to power. IBM supplied the Nazis with primitive computers to track their inmates. And after the war, the most prominent Nazi scientists were PROTECTED from persecution by the Allies: Britain and the US. Thousands of top Nazi scientists were smuggled into the US under Operation Paperclip, all de-classified and found on Wikipedia, where they CONTINUED their eugenics and psychological (mind-control) experiments under MKULTRA and MONARCH. They would, literally, use Child Protective Services and other organizations to kidnap thousands of children and continue conducting underground experiments on them, they would take mental patients and attempt to shatter their personalities to make killers out of them. The Holocaust continued underground in the US, though on a smaller scale. Never heard of it? Surprising? It's all de-classified and documented. Just read up on Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_paperclip en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MKULTRA After all, this is all part of history. You should wonder why your 8th-grade textbook never told you about it... And... This is so unbelievable but you just can't deny it. We are, in the 21st century, in the midst of a chemical holocaust. UN documents have stated that we need an 80% population reduction, and now it's happening. The Rockefeller Foundation and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation was caught testing experimental and extremely dangerous vaccines, as well as adding cancer viruses, AIDS viruses, and expensive sterilization hormones to both Western and 3rd World vaccines. Listen to the Merck executive ADMITTING, ON VIDEO, that vaccines contain deadly cancer viruses: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=327_1195303011. And watch these 2 on vaccines: Vaccine Nation (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6531447125053615129&q=vaccine+nation&ei=dImXSKbFMYTSrAKOubHTBg&hl=en) and Mercury, Autism and the Global Vaccine Agenda (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6890106663412840646&q=Dr.+David+Ayoub,+M.D). Here's an excellent archive on articles and videos about vaccination: http://awakentothetruth.com/vaccinations.htm You can find an excellent book on vaccination here: http://infowars-shop.stores.yahoo.net/dovabeyoued.html The amount of vaccines children are exposed to has risen to over 40 in the past 2 decades, while in the past it was less than 10. Vaccines contain thimerosal, a mercury compound which builds up in the brain and damages neurons. In the past, when children were exposed to 1 or 2 vaccines, their bodies easily dealt with the amounts of mercury; now, the infant is injected with over 7 mercury-containing vaccines per visit. And we're seeing and EXPLOSION in autism WHICH BEGAN when they increased the amount of vaccines ones receives. It can't be proven, but there have been reports that cancer cures have been found and suppressed by the FDA and Big Pharma. It the Elite inject us with cancer-containing vaccines, then they will suppress any REAL attempts to cure cancer. And meanwhile, Big Pharma is pushing thousands of toxic drugs on us, you see dozens of chemical additives in almost ALL foods; in general, we're living in a chemical nightmare. Watch Selling Sickness and Big Bucks Big Pharma, all on Google Video, to gain a better understanding of this. Also watch Forced Drugging of Our Children. And let's not forget GMO foods. The corporate media tries to ignore it, the establishment pushes that, oh, GMOs are safe, they are beneficial, they will increase vitamin content, they will increase yield. In reality, 80% of the food you buy is GMO. What's worse is that multiple animal-feeding studies and reports from farmers have shown that GMOs lead to cancer, sterility, obesity, and insanity in animals by the fourth or 5th generation of feeding. Watch Future of Food (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3764995188693165078) and World According to Monsanto (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6262083407501596844) to learn about GMOs. Here's the Deadly Gamble combo, 2 informative books on the topic: http://infowars-shop.stores.yahoo.net/degaco.html. And if you want, you can go on responsibletechnology.org and download a shopping guide to avoid GMO foods. And let's not forget, 1 in 3 people in the US will get cancer when it used to be 1 in 33. 1 in 85 children now have autism over 1 in 13,000 3 decades ago. Folks, this is all being done by design. The life expectancy in the US has DROPPED by 7 year (more...)
