This GPS came with a decent mount. It came with the actual GPS, a mount that you snap on with a suction cup on the other side and a small circular plate to attach the suction plate on with adhesive on the other side of plate. The problem is I messed this mount up. I misplaced the plate completely, leaving me with the part of the mount that holds the GPS and the suction cup. A long time ago, I came up with the idea of using velcro. Now I've since removed the velcro, and the suction cup does not stick to my windshield. In California where I live, the GPS must now be on the lower left side of the driver's windshield (or passenger). I formally stuck it on top of the dashboard, right above my head, but being as I am a law abiding citizen, I will stick it on the windshield. I only have the mount that holds the GPS and a suction cup on the other side, which does not stick to glass. All velcro has been removed. How can I stick it to my windshield? I had the idea of putting clear plastic tape on the part of my windshield where I will put my GPS, then putting velcro on one side and reapplying velcro to the suction cup. It is a 1980 18ft deep V and the original windshield on it and is very flimsy,,, I like the swept back look of the windshield and it has smoked glass in it. It kind of has a stealth fighter shape to the whole boat,,, its very original looking and unfortunately Steury Boats has been gone off the market for a long time. My problem is that the windshield is very flimsy and all the replacement windshields out there are not going to look good on my boat and would look even worse without one at all. I have been considering tearing out the old one and replacing it with either stainless steel tubing or aluminum to approximately the same shape as the old one. Not sure if I want glass in it or not yet. I cannot find any ideas online for a good design and I was hoping you could point me in the right direction or give me some links to a cool new windshield replacement. I've always wondered at how gas station attendants always manage to make our windshields so spotlessly clean even though the water they use is mucky and grey with dirt. I finally found out! I saw one attendant emptying out the water, refilling and adding a few drops of dish washing liquid. I tried it and it works like magic. I now use it on all my glass surfaces and the results are great. No more chemicals for my windows. It doesn't need any rinsing. Just a few drops of liquid and then a wipe down to dry. I just bought a used car, and the person before me hadn't changed the wipers at all since they had it, it seems like. The wipers were in such bad shape that they were actually starting to dig down in my car's wind shield and scrape it - there are two or three really bad scrapes on my windshield, one of which is on the driver's side, so it's very irritating to have to look through that all the time - sort of like if there was a scratch on your glasses. So, is there any kind of solution that I can rub on my windshield to help take the scrapes away, or at least make it to where the scrapes are less noticeable? Thanks. (more...)

I have my toyota camry 1993 model runs perfectly well, and the AC is also superb. heats wells and cools wells, but for last one year I notice that during winter my car gets frosty from inside during severe winter and snow, and it becomes very difficult to clean the car from inside , all the door glasses and the front and back windshields become frosty and I have to scrape the glass from inside.Apparently i don't see any air leak and the window packings are in perfect shape.Can I hope if some body can tell me what could be the cause and what is the remedyfor this problem. I need him dead before I can continue. Any ideas? He broke the rest of the window with an iron hinge he found on the floor of the shed. He stood for the first time in four days and his legs gave out on him. He grabbed the bench, steadied himself and breathed the air. It was fresh and alive. He removed the rest of the rope from his wrist and tossed it in an old paint bucket. This dump could use some paint. Yes! It was good to smile... His mind cleared and his legs stopped shaking as he walked towards the pale wooden door and peered through a crack in the plank. "Walk out and away" he thought, but he saw them then, standing near the oak, smoking and laughing, trading crude jokes and wicked smiles. How did they not hear the glass breaking? They must have come out of the house minutes ago. Luck?. He was going to need more of it. A gas can and a rag. He saw the tall one take them from the back of the white van that was parked under the oak. This can't be good. He tried to focus in on the others. The one with the shotgun was smoking a huge cigar; the plume of smoke surrounded his face. There were four of them. Gas man, shotgun man, and the two sitting on the porch. Two dogs, too. Dobermans. You could see their ribs pressing into their thin black coats. He had to wait. Hopefully they came all at once, keeping them bunched up and giving him a chance to make a move. He saw a man burn to death before, trapped in his car at a racetrack down in Clarksdale. A couple hundred people stood and stared as he jerked his head, smashed the front windshield, and burned the rest of the way through, silently. He wasn't going to be that man. Not today. He stuck the iron hinge into the back of his belt and waited. The unmistakable woooosshhh, flame to gas, and cackling as they approached. He felt the sweat crawl sideways across his hairline, his hand steady at the door. They walked in tandem, like trained horses. The tall one was last, giving him a good view of the front three, their faces turned serious now. He smelled fear and smoke. Ten feet. He smiled... The one with the shotgun stood three feet in front of the door, with the other two flanking it. His fingers were relaxed, as though the shotgun was resting there. It could easily be snatched from his weak grip. Tall man held the torch with both hands and they trembled slightly, black smoke rising through the flame. I could hear them breathing, all. The one with the torch nodded and the shotgun came forward, nudging the door open with its barrel. I moved swiftly to my right, silent behind the door. The barrel of the gun appeared and I grabbed it with my left hand, my right coming around in an arc, the hinge it held landing a bulls eye on his forehead. He went down and I swung the gun around cramming the stock in my gut, firing towards the tall one. The torch was in the air then, swooping over my head in a blaze as I watched his arm disappear in a spray of bone and blood. I ducked, and the other two ran towards the house. I pumped the gun, fired once, twice, finishing the job on the two left behind. They went for the Dobermans and I felt a slight pang of regret knowing I was going to be a dog killer, too. The first one ran the wrong way and I shot him before he knew where I was. The second, older dog was fearless and charged with his teeth exposed and death in his eyes. He was fast and I wasn?t ready for him. With only two shots left, I tried to use the stock of the gun to brace his impact, but it threw me off balance and as I crashed to the ground I rolled, knowing he would be on me, trying for my throat. It gave me just enough time to raise the gun up from the ground and fire. His chest exploded and the force threw him up and back. He was dead before he landed, kicking his legs straight out, a reflex that made it look like he was trying to stop the fall. I stood up slowly, watching the house. Only blue smoke and a ringing in my ears, now. I headed back to the shed, in search of more shotgun shells. (more...)
