Feng Shui
Feng Shui Chi is the life force that runs through everything; feng shui, which means literally "wind and water," is the art of placing things in harmony with the environment, so that chi can flow freely. Feng Shui: Creating Environments for Success and Well-Being is an introduction to this Chinese art form that seeks to give you peace and happiness in your life. It doesn't matter whether you believe in feng shui or not, the video tells us; you don't have any choice in the matter--"your destiny intertwines with the workings of nature and the universe." Beginning with testimonies from those whose lives have been improved by feng shui and a brief explanation of its workings, master Lin Yun and expert Deborah Gee set about to improve a house using the basic elements of this form. By moving furniture, adding chimes and mirrors, and changing colors, the chi in the house is able to move without obstruction, enhancing career, relationships, and health and reducing tension and stress. This video comes with a card listing the nine feng shui remedies, which are explained in the video, and with a diagram of a bagua, the octagonal compass used to determine how the chi in your space affects your life. This is an informative introduction that will help you to revitalize your home or office, using the "interior design [of] your third eye." --Jenny Brown

Resolved Question: Am I too stressed/organized for 13?
Ok well ever since about 12 I have had this strange hobby of looking at real estate/apartments etc also furniture. The only one who knows about this is my brother, I always have a clean room, brush after every meal and have a budget every month. But when I see my friends spending like 80 bucks on a top I feel weird knowing they don't know how to be organized, their rooms are a dump and have no manners etc, when in a class discussion I was the only one knowing what I wanted to be and our life's decisions making me feel even more uncomfortable. I have a daily planner which carries my budget and hour schedule and all my friends find it weird, but i find it cool being organized and putting money into savings for future use... So am I weird or too stressed and organized for a 13 year old? Oh and no harsh comments please. (more...)

Resolved Question: Is she wrong for me or am i crazy?
Is she bossy, unfair, sour? Here are the stats I am older by 3 years. I am 26. I graduated college and currently holding my career. I do not get financial support from anybody or family. I pay up more than a 3rd of our rent which is entitled to my name only. I pay all the other bills for the place. cable, internet, electricity. etc.. I do the daily chores. I do the daily carpool with her, with my gas, maintenance and driving. I bought a new car so that her car won't skyrocket mileage. Her: Didn't graduate. No career. She has a job that my family gave her. She pays less than a 3rd of rent. She bought a some furniture. She is not financially independent. Needs Mommy and Daddy. She cleans once a month max. She is drowned with bills and irresponsibility. She pays for occasional groceries. Everytime i am with her, she corrects me on how to do things even if i have my own ways of doing things. And if i make a small mistake, she will mouth me off, and when she does a mistake, she laughs and says oops. She tells me to do everything, and soo many favors in a day, and i dont. She is very snappy and tri polar and hippocritical. I really don't know what to do about this. When i bring an issue up, she will talk it down like she is the boss, so i have stopped. I have been complying to everything she wants/says. She talks down on me like a am lesser, and when i pick up a hobby, she has no hope for me. I used to be a very positive person and any hobby i pick up, i have always done it to professionalism. Please give me some advice. I have been thinking about leaving her but its just too hard when u live together. i have already regretted leaving my exes. (more...)

Resolved Question: need christian advice on marriage please?
I've been married for a little over a year now. My husband was not a christian before dating, and tried to do all that he could to "win me over" which included lying about himself and "pretended" to be so interested in God. I had many signs that show that God did not want me to marry him, but for some reason I overlooked those signs perhaps because I didn't want to see them and I was so afraid of being alone. I was also going through a very traumatic, emotional time in my life. Well, we married and shortly after I realized that my husband had an addiction to video games. I believe it's great to have your own interests and hobbies, but he would do it for hours every day. It was all he thought about and he would even forget to eat and sometimes wouldn't sleep. He wouldn't take any responsibility to do what needed to be done. He very rarely would go to bed with me or even make love to me and we were newlyweds!!! Once in a great while, if I got angry enough, he would then decide he should have "sex" with me and after wards would sometimes say, "there, see i love u" or "there, u should be good now" and off he'd go to the games again. He would also ignore me and only talk to me if he was telling me about his games or football. If I ever had anything to say, he would never show interest...even when he was away from the game. Also, he all of a sudden, after marriage, showed no interest in God or going to church with me and later admitted that he wasn't into it like I was. Before marriage, he acted like he would like to have children with me, but I found out after marriage, that he doesn't want to have children. This all went on for, well 12 months of my marriage... a whole year!!! I tried many times to talk with him about it all and he would either say nothing at all and go back to the games or say "yea" or shrug and say, "sorry" and walk off. He would do this even when I kept telling him that if things stayed the way they were, then I wanted out of the marriage. I felt like I was just a piece of furniture to him or a "prize" that he won and forgot about. Just within the last 2 months, he has decided to try because I was extremely close to getting divorce papers. He now tries to listen and pay attention to me once in awhile, but the problem is that's it's a little late. I feel that God has helped me to forgive my husband, though it still hurts a lot, but I feel I have grown so far away from him and I don't trust him. I don't like him touching me at all.The biggest thing that haunts me is that I was not in God's will when I married. I've been praying a lot about all of this and I keep feeling like God want's me to get out of the marriage because it was not something that He brought together. I would really appreciate advice on whether or not it's ok to divorce if the marriage was outside of God's will and if the husband lied about who he was. Thanks so much. (more...)

Resolved Question: Indoor and Outdoor beginner helicopter?
I want to buy my boyfriend a helicopter for Christmas. He has had no (well, extremely limited) flying experience. I don't want to spend too much (i.e. a toy model rather than a hobby model), but I would ideally like a model that can fly in a rather small space indoors (limited indoor space and I don't want him to wreck our house!) and also outdoors in very calm conditions such as no wind/rain if he crashes it too much!!! I have been looking at the PicooZ but hear that it would not be suitable for outdoor (even in calm conditions) - is this true? I was also looking at Bladez 3D but hear it's a bit big for a small house with furniture and a bit more complex to master for a beginner. In a nut shell, are there any smaller indoo AND outdoor small helicopters out on the market that would do the job? OR a small indoor one that people have flown outside on a calm day? I am a bit dubious we have enough space indoors you see! Thanks!! (more...)

Resolved Question: I want to buy my fiance a dovetail jig for Christmas...HELP, I'm not sure which kind to get!!?
My fiance woodworks as his favorite hobby, and is looking to get more into furniture making. He has mentioned several times how helpful a "dovetail jig" would be but he doesn't want to buy one because they are so expensive. I decided that I'd like to buy him one for Chirstmas but there are so many to choose from! I've looked online (Rockler) and basically want advice on what would be a good investment piece to make both drawers and larger dovetail-pieces, like a toy chest. Are there different sizes? And what should I expect to pay? Any suggestions would be GREAT! :) (more...)
