Open Question: Magic Kingdom Birthday/SeaWorld/Beach?
My daughter is turning five in April and I am planning on taking her to Magic Kingdom for the first time on her birthday. My friend is also coming with his two girls, so we will have a 5 yo, 4 yo and 3 yo. Does anyone have any suggestions on being able to see Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, Sea World AND the beach for a budget? Should we stay in Orlando for a few days then reserve a hotel on the beach for the remainder of the trip? Does anyone know any good family beaches within a reasonable amount of time from Orlando? We will be flying down then renting a car. Traveling Apr 26-May 2, 2009. I went to Disneyworld in 2005 and stayed at Caribbean Beach and loved having the meal plans and buses and all; but my father paid for that trip and I am on a budget!! Trying to find a cheap way to do it all without causing myself more hassle! Thanks!

Open Question: Why do Danish people have 2 last names? ?
I work for a travel company was recently booking a tour for some Danish people and everyone, even the men had two last names.
It was very confusing, because I didn't know which was their actual last name and I didnt' know which names they would use as their real last name when checking into their hotels, for example.
eg:
Margaret Henriksen Jansen
Kjell Winther Jensen
Would he be Mr. Winther Jensen? Or Mr. Jensen?
Is Denmark like Spain? Is it mother's name and father's name?
For Danish men, which is their last name?

Open Question: What is a good beach to visit in the US?
My boyfriend is in the Navy and when he gets home, he wants to take me on a trip somewhere that is warm with a beach in March. So, since he is on his sub he can't just look these things up himself, which leaves me looking up random beaches in the US (we don't have passports) and I can't think of anything past Florida.
Any ideas about where we could go? Anywhere that will be warm in March, and has a nice beach is fine by me for suggestion to start searching flight and hotel prices. I love to travel and have been to Florida before so anything a little bit different sounds good to me!!! Thanks!

Open Question: How long does it take to complete the Interstate Compact?
I would love to hear from IN PO on this question! I have read many of your answers and you appear to be very knowledgeable on this topic.
I was put on probation for a felony in 2003 in KY. I have always reported and paid all of my fines off. In Jan. 2008, I asked my PO for a transfer to TN (where my parents are) she said it was unlikely for me to transfer. (She also was very new, just out of school.)
I then proceeded to move to TN anyway, (I know, I am an idiot) I called her after the fact and gave her my new address and she was livid and wanted me in her office right away. Unfortunately I did not report to her for 1 yr. and was arressted for violation. The judge did not revoke me ( i have to do 12 weekends in jail) and the probation officer is putting in the transfer to TN. I know it won't happen overnight, but the transfer was put in on December 19th, and I have heard nothing. I talk to my PO in KY daily. She seems to think I will be denied. My husband is in TN, my parents, and my job that I have been at for over a year making $36, 000/yr.
My PO in KY is telling me I have to move back to KY until the transfer is complete. She gave me a travel pass to go to work in TN only. I now have to drive 2 hours one-way to work each morning and 2 hours to a hotel in KY each night. I am not allowed to stay in my home in TN with my husband and young daughter.
Have you ever heard of this happening? It seems like I could get a travel pass for the week to stay at home but she says she can't do it. Do you know the estimated time for the process to be completed and accepted by TN??? Do you think because I absconded from supervision for one year will cause them to deny me?

Open Question: Does always taking a year off between school and college end badly?
i told my dad that when i turn 16 i want to get a job and start saving for when i graduate, because i want to take a year off and just travel the world. i feel like i'm young, and should enjoy it while i still can, and like i haven't really seen the world.. i've never even been to america before :/ and i don't even know what i would study.
he said that i would need hundreds of dollars (i don't agree, it's not like i plan on staying at 5-star hotels and eating at fancy restaurants, i'd get creative) and that you never get back into a routine if you do that, and that my cousin was depressed for 3 years after she did it. but my friend said her mom did it and had said it was the best period of her life
i WOULD go to university or college after wards. im sure of it.
but do you agree with me or him? if you took a year off, how did it go?

Open Question: Traveling in the car with my cats?
I have two cats and will be taking them with me on a move to Colorado in a few months. We will be driving, and the trip altogether will be around 20 hours in the car, but we will stop overnight in a pet-friendly hotel. They do well in the car on short trips, but have never been more than about 2 hours in the car.
I am wondering what the best set-up is to keep them happy and safe. I have an SUV, so I was wondering about trying to set up a barrier of some kind to let them be loose in the back, but not free to move into the front of the car (like people do for dogs). Has anyone ever tried this? Is there a product that works for cats?
Other suggestions for the best way to move them safely?
