Beware of a Holy Whore
Fans of the prodigiously gifted Rainer Werner Fassbinder will find Beware of a Holy Whore the German director's most revealing look inside his filmmaking process. A kind of neurotic backstage comedy, the movie details the struggles of a film crew in Spain: the jealousies, tantrums, money problems. He doesn't spare himself in this process, as the movie's director (played by Lou Castel) is a petulant manipulator given to screaming fits. RWF himself plays a long-suffering production manager; the great pock-marked star of French B movies, Eddie Constantine, plays himself (looking somewhat bewildered by the deadpan jokes and frequent lulls). If the slack pacing and Warholian weirdness limit the movie, it nevertheless looks very vivid, thanks to future Hollywood cinematographer Michael Ballhaus. Fassbinder made around 40 features in his brief life, and this self-portrait gives hints about the maddening, mercurial personality that could pull off such a feat. --Robert Horton

Open Question: Key West Cheap Hotel 3/10/09-3/14/09?
I realize that key west and inexpensive dont go together, but i am planning a trip to the keys for myself and my girlfriend and we are tight on funds. We wouldnt be planning the trip if we didnt have enough, but i would love to save a few bucks on room arrangements. Most of the places we found for March 10 2009 - March 14 2009 were about $150-$250 a night. Does anyone know anywhere that would be cheaper? Im not too picky, just would rather spend the money on food and drink than sleeping in a bed. We are 22 and want to be close to the bar scene, so no where outside key west, but it doesnt have to be quiet or loud or romantic or family oriented, just semi-close to Duval Street. Please HELP!!!! :-)

Open Question: LAX 405 and 101 freeway question?
Thanks in advance for taking time to read this. I have not driven on the LA freeways since 1996...need advice.
I am arriving at LAX late so staying in hotel on a Tuesday night near airport. The next day, I plan to drive up the coast to Pismo Beach. It looks like the best route is the 405 North to the 101 (is it 101 West or North) but I have heard horror stories about the 405 during morning rush and even more about the merge with 101.
How bad will it be if I left my hotel at LAX around 6:30am?
Any tips about this plan?
Thanks!
Thanks...i actually thought about sleeping in and leaving at about 9-10am the next day after the major morning rush. I have to stop in Oxnard to meet people for about an hour and would like to be in Pismo by 2pm.
Thanks for your answers. I am now leaning on sleeping in and getting on the road around 9:30/10am and seeing my Oxnard friends on Saturday later that week when I come back to LAX.
I am traveling in from Newark, NJ and the flight gets in around 10pm LA time.

Open Question: Vehicle Legal Limbo. ?
Ok, i just moved to Oklahoma, from West Virginia, and I haven't had the opportunity to update my driver's liscense; as I live in a company-paid Hotel room at the moment; anyway, I just purchased a new truck from Washington State via a private owner.
The tags are expired. How do I go about legalizing this without driving all the way to West Virginia or Washington? whats the legal processing in Oklahoma? can I register my vehicle in Oklahoma without an Oklahoma driver's liscense? Any help or insight will be greatly appreciated.

Open Question: Why do people in America regard Israel as defending itself from Arab aggression?
In the US, Israel is portrayed as the underdog, the peace-loving democracy threatened by 22 hostile Arab tyrannies.
This is just plain nonsense. As Israeli historians now admit, Israel was founded amidst a wave of Zionist terrroism against the British ( bombing of the King David Hotel etc) and the forcible expulsion and massacre of nearly a million Arabs ( as in Deir Yassin etc): The Arabs did not attack Israel in 1948 so much as intervened to prevent the ethnic cleansing of their brothers, just as the West did in Kosovo.
Again, we are told by the Zionist crowd that the Arabs attacked Israel in 1967 when in fact it was the Israelis who threatened Syria and then launched an unprovoked attack on the Egyptian air force.
And in the present conflict: No mention is made of Israel breaches of the ceasefire with Hamas , the assassinations and incursions, that led to Hamas resuming rocket fire.
Why don't people see Israel for what it is: a racist, brutal, apartheid militarisitic state that shows disdain for human rights and is the principle cause of the violence and chaos in the Middle East?
MEPHISTO: Israel is armed with nukes...it could literally wipe all the Arab nations of the earth.
Militarily, only Iran comes even near to Israel's capability.

Resolved Question: Hotel motel holiday inn?
Next time you think your hotel bill is too high you
might want to consider this...
Husband and wife are traveling by car from Key West
to Boston
After almost twenty-four hours on the road, they're too tired to continue, and
they decide to stop for a rest.
They stop at a nice hotel and take a room, but they only plan to sleep for four
hours and then get back on the road.
When they check out four hours later,
the desk clerk hands them a bill for $350.00. The man explodes and demands to
know why the charge is so high.
He tells the clerk although it's a nice hotel, the rooms certainly aren't worth
$350.00! When the clerk tells him $350.00 is the standard rate, the man insists
on speaking to the Manager.
The Manager appears, listens to the
man, and then explains that the hotel has an Olympic-sized pool and a huge
conference center that were available for the husband and wife to use.
'But we didn't use them,' the man
complains.
'Well, they are here, and you could
have,' Explains the Manager.
He goes on to explain they could have taken in one of the shows for which the
hotel is famous.
'The best entertainers from New York , Hollywood and Las Vegas perform here,'
the Manager says.
'But we didn't go to any of those
shows,' complains the man again.
'Well, we have them, and you could have,' the Manager replies.
No matter what amenity the Manager
mentions, the man replies, 'But we didn't use it!'
The Manager is unmoved, and
eventually the man gives up and agrees to pay. He writes a check and
gives it to the Manager.
The Manager is surprised when he
looks at the check.
'But sir,' he says, this check is
only made out for $50.00.' 'That's correct,' says the man. 'I charged you
$300.00 for sleeping with my wife.'
'But I didn't!' exclaims the Manager.
'Well, too bad,' the man replies.
'She was here and you could have.'
