SUGAR

An extremely unsettling vision of private terrors by filmmaking collaborators Reynold Reynolds Patrick Jolley and Samara Golden. Plays like a fever nightmare of any New Yorker who's lived in a one-room living box. Pic is a triumph of lower-than-low budget filmmaking with mainly one thesp (Golden in an outrageously demanding performance that indicates a commitment above and beyond the call of duty) one extremely messy room (with a spooky thick-glass window looking out onto a crowded Manhattan street) and a complex visual and aural design involving camerawork that appears to crawl under the skin and Bruce Odland's and Sam Auinger's stunning sound design. --VarietyDirector: Reynold Reynolds and Patrick Jolley.Cast: Samara Golden.System Requirements:Runtime: 82 minutesFormat: DVD MOVIE Genre: HORROR Rating: NR UPC: 825307912890 Manufacturer No: PH-91289

Open Question: What are the pro's and cons of renting a house with option to buy?
I am seeing this new trend of renting a home with the option to buy. I read some info on this type of rental option and it explained that you sign a contract of an agreeable amount for the sale after a certain amounts of months. It almost sounds too good to be true.
We have been working to clean up our credit to purchase a home of our own, but I know that it takes time for the paid items to reflect your credit score. We also will only be using my partner's income because I am finishing up school in May and will be able to work full time after that. I am just wondering if that would be a good option for us to look into rather then using only her credit and income since I have no recent employment history. A broker told me that he would not feel comfortable even including me in the process until I was employed full-time for a minimum of 6 months and all my items on the credit report were in satisfactory standings (referring to a good payment history on my student loans....which are not due until I am completed with my education).
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Open Question: Landlord/tenant issues. I believe my lanlord has crossed the line where do I look?
My boyfriend and I have been renting a room in a house since September. On October 16th the bank foreclosed on the home and as soon as we found that out we stopped paying the lady of the house rent because the bank now owns the house. Because of this fact she's pissed and is playing all these little games, turning the hot water down, taking over the bathroom that was originally part of our rental agreement, she has now cut a wire off to the power however still leaving the lights connected. saying that there is hot water and lights so we can't complain. Besides the light in the room we have no power, no heat, the water is barely warm and we are about the lose it. I am trying to find out some landlord tenant rules/violations. what is included when they say "utilities included what needs to be provided to not violate rights Please help me in anyways you can.

Open Question: Is Marie Kreutz still alive? Share your thoughts?
I really hope so. I really like her. I'll make a few points.
1. We never saw her body being pulled from the water. I'll make a comparison. Bourne was shot and went into the water, he miracously survived. Marie was shot and went into the water. This is a reason why she might be alive. It's evident that the writers like to repeat stuff: Nicky in TBU is like Marie, with the hair changes.
2. This is for you 24 fans. Tony is still alive. Everyone thought he was dead until there was no silent clock. Then it showed a sheet being placed over Tony's face. Somehow he managed to survive. Bourne did not stay under water long enough to confirm that she was truly dead. Like Jack did not stay long enoguh to confirm that Tony was dead. I always said he was never dead.
3. Also Marie's brother, Martin, was never notified that she died. In TBU, he asks Bourne where she is. If Marie was really dead, Martin would have known and not asked Bounre where she is.
My theory is this: In TBS, as Bourne is swimming away, someone from the crowd jumps in, pulls Marie out and revives her. She says that she needs to hide, she doesn't know why, she just knows she does, so this person takes Marie to their house. After she is fully recovered, she says that she cannot remember anything over "the past two weeks". The person gives her a ride to wherever she wants to go and gives her enough money to live on until she can start over. (none of this would be explained until 5th film or in delted scene)
Over the next two years she remembers everything (we don't know this yet, not until 5th film possibly or deleted scene), except one very important thing: Jason Bourne. Marie owns a coffee shop somewhere in Europe or Asia under a new name, and has different colored hair of course* (possibly blonde).
Now to end of 4th film, after main plot is over. Bourne finds out that Marie is alive and starts looking for her. We see him looking at a computer. Camera is at an angle so we can't see the screen clearly but we see him pull up a news article. Bourne is shocked by what he reads. We see his facial expression of shock. Then movie cuts to Bourne in Europe or Asia. One day Bourne walks in the coffee shop and sees Marie - we don't know that it's Marie, but we have a pretty good idea that it is - in front of the counter facing away from him. Bourne asks "Is this your shop?". She says "Yes". He says "This place was even harder to find than your scooter rental place". Marie's memory of Jason suddelny completely returns. She is amazed and turns around and can't belive her eyes. We see that it's Marie. Bourne asks "I was wondering if I could buy a cup of coffee?" Marie asks "Do you have ID?" He says, "Not really." Then they hug and movie ends and extreme ways starts playing of course.
*Franka Potente's hair is always changing color from movie to movie.
Please tell me if you agree that Marie is still alive, if you agree with my two points, and if you agree with my theory. You can also post theory of your own if you believe she is still alive.

Open Question: Problems with a rental house and stained carpet? Do we have options?
We've been living in a rental house since the end of October, but I'm concerned with the safety of the carpeting. There were old stains and discolorations on the carpet, which we knew about before we moved in, but we thought they were really, really old.
The carpet was professionally cleaned before we moved in, but we had a steam cleaner, so my husband and I tried to clean some of the heavier spots out. But that effort actually brought out MORE stains, and then we realized that it's old dog urine. Now the house smells like old dog. It's awful.
I'm completely grossed out by the carpet, and I'm trying to figure out what our options are. I don't want my daughter walking on stained dog urine, which is obviously soaked deeply into the carpet pad.
It's a health hazard, isn't it? What can I do? Is there a way I could get someone to inspect it and declare it unfit or something? Is it grounds to break a lease? What can I do?
They have said that the owner of the house would put in new carpeting but our rent would go up $200/mo.
Otherwise, the company is very difficult to deal with to get repairs done. I tried to get them to get the carpet cleaned again, but they said they wouldn't.

Open Question: How do you get yourself out of a rut (long question)?
I'm just looking for other people's stories about how they managed to recover from mental problems, especially when isolated. I've been previously diagnosed with Tourette's (comorbid with OCD, depression and anxiety), BPD and purging disorder. I've gone through extensive treatment in the past, mostly for Tourette's (meds) and social phobia (CBT) which gets really severe when not being treated, but am currently not taking anything.
I moved to Europe about 7 years ago for a relationship. The marriage ended about 1.5 years ago, after he became emotionally abusive and I found out he was torturing (and in one case killed) our pets. I had to move away, because I couldn't find housing in the city I lived (long waiting lists for rentals), and I feel sort of like I've been living out of my suitcase ever since. I tried to get medical help in my new location for managing all the original problems (now with PTSD and frequent panic attacks), but was told the waiting list was over a year, and I didn't have money at the time for private treatment.
I was really bad off for awhile, but managed to get myself together enough for things to seemingly work out. I moved to a new country over the summer, and am seeing specialists now, but the process is very slow.
I thought I was managing okay on my own when I first moved here. I found a great job offshore and felt like I was getting settled for the first time in a few years. Then my father was diagnosed with cancer back in the US, and I had to leave my contract to go back. After staying several weeks, I returned but had a message as soon as I landed that he had caught pneumonia and was very ill. I flew back the next day, only to find out he had died during the night, so I showed up for his funeral.
The two emergency trips set me back thousands of dollars (which I didn't have, since I just moved countries, and unfortunately the airline doesn't offer bereavement fares) and I no longer had a job when I returned. I don't know anyone at all here, I speak a similar language (but have some difficulty with the local dialect, which makes finding new work less easy), and I have no close family or friends elsewhere. My family back in the US either a) has severe mental issues of their own or b) is abusive, and I just can't deal with their problems on top of mine right now. My father was the only one I talked with, and now that he's gone I just feel lost. I had nowhere to stay in the US anyway (so that wasn't an option), no history there (employment, education, credit etc), and I moved away so early (I was 20) that I feel like a complete foreigner.
I'm here because I don't know where else to go, and don't have the funds to move elsewhere anyway. I'm living off savings currently, but it won't last forever. My father's death has really affected me badly, I feel very isolated, and then the job/financial difficulties on top of everything has made me feel pretty awful. I haven't really left my flat since I've returned, except to go to the doctor. Tourette's tics have worsened from anxiety, and I hate going out in public because of it. I've lost more weight than I should (about 15kg in 2 months). I just don't know where to start to change things, everything is unfamiliar and sort of overwhelming.
I'm hoping the doctors can help in some way, but Tourette's makes me very sensitive to medications, so it's taken intensive treatment and a lot of time in the past to even get basic recovery. I don't think I've ever actually felt okay since I was a teenager. And the process, as I mentioned before, is sooo slow. My doctors are afraid to put me on meds because the only ones left to try have bad side effects (tricyclics and MAOIs) and they don't want to make the Tourette's even worse.
What have others in similar situations done to make the necessary changes? How did you get back into the real world without support? Any tips at all would be appreciated.
Please don't mention religion though, the country I live in is very agnostic so it's not a great place for social networking anyway. My ex was also the son of a pastor and very religious, and some of the abuse revolved around that, I really don't want to revisit those emotions right now.

Resolved Question: Neighbor beat another man?s dog badly what should I do?
About two days ago a man who lives in a house near my apartment dog jumped out of the tall fenced in backyard. While he was outside a young man who lives in the apartment came outside with his three Pit bulls that are not even suppose to be there because there is a no pets allowed rule. The boy and his three pit bulls have been constantly messing with the dog in the backyard. Every time they go past they antagonize him by standing there at the fence barking. However the man dog was outside for at least a couple of minutes before the other guy came out with his. The man dog has gotten out before but we all know he will not hurt anyone so we just take him back to the house and knock on the door so they can get him. He only jumps out because they do not take him to walk a lot so he tries to roam on his own. But he is the sweetest pit bull and never barks at or tries to chases after anyone when he does get out.
However to make a long story short the young man saw the dog and walked up to him as the dog saw him being the people person the dog is he licked him and just thought he was being friendly. But that is when the boy started to hit the dog and he took his leash off of one of his dogs and put it on the man?s and started to punch him in the face and kick him and the sad part is the dog still licked him and was trying to be friendly and did not fight back so basically he beat the dog and let his three dogs jump on him too. The dog face as swollen and looked so bad that it looked like he was ready to cry. (And please note the man dog did not growl or bark at him or walk towards him or showed any threat to the young man)
Some people suggested getting the boy out of the neighborhood by calling the rental office on him. But I am stuck between a hard place because it is sickening and disgusting what he did to that man dog but I also feel like is it my place to do anything about it or the dog?s owner?
sorry guys I meant to add I was not there. I saw the owner of the dog and man who beat the dog arguing. And I saw the dog afterwards and saw how he looked and they told me what happened but I did not see it or I should would have stopped it. I love dogs I would never watch that happen.
