HISTORY OF THE PANORAMIC PHOTOGRAPH

Shortly after the invention of photography in 1839, the desire to show overviews of cities and landscapes prompted photographers to create panoramas. Early panoramas were made by placing two or more daguerreotype plates, side-by-side. Daguerreotypes, the first commercially available photographic process, used silver- coated copper plates to produce highly detailed images. The first mass-produced American panoramic camera, the Al-Vista, was introduced in 1898. The following year, Eastman Kodak introduced the #4 Kodak Panoram camera that proved popular with amateur photographers. In 1911 Sears, Roebuck and Co. sold the Conley Panoramic Camera through their catalog. Mass-produced panoramic cameras worked on the swing-lens principle, used roll film, and did not need a tripod. They made small panoramas, measuring no more than twelve inches long with a field of view of almost 180-degrees. The Cirkut camera was patented in 1904. It used large format film ranging in width from 5in. to 16in. and was capable of producing a 360-degree photograph measuring up to 20 feet long. Both the camera and the film rotated on a special tripod during the exposure. Cirkut cameras were used mostly by commercial photographers to capture city views, group portraits, and special events. Idaho Code
Idaho Code

Small-town Idaho, where everyone knows your business, is no place for a baby dyke to go looking for love. Especially when murder and homophobia are stalking the streets. For Wilhelmina "Bil" Hardy, trapped in the coils of her eccentric family and off-the-wall friends, neither the course of true love nor amateur sleuthing runs smooth. Mistaken identity, misunderstandings, and mysteries galore take Bil to places she's never dreamed of visiting.

Idaho Code is a funny book about love, family, and the freedom you can find in a state that values individuality more than common sense.

Joan Opyr's hobbies are politics, politics, and politics, though, for the sake of variation, she has been known occasionally to dance the polka.

The Boys of Boise: Furor, Vice & Folly in an American City (Columbia Northwest Classics)
The Boys of Boise: Furor, Vice & Folly in an American City (Columbia Northwest Classics) 'Written in 1965 about a same-sex sexual scandal that occurred in 1955 in Boise, Idaho, John Gerassi's classic study depicts both middle America's traditional response to homosexuality and an era in the country's history before the modern gay rights movement really got underway. Because much of what Gerassi wrote about persists in today's struggles over gay and lesbian issues, his book still has much to tell us about how contemporary society reacts to, and misunderstands, homosexuality' - from the new Foreword by Peter Boag.On the morning of November 2, 1955, the people of Boise, Idaho, were stunned by a screaming headline in the "Idaho Daily Statesman", Three boise men admit sex charges. "Time" magazine picked up the story, reporting that a 'homosexual underworld' had long operated in Idaho's staid capital city. "The Statesman" led the hysteria that resulted in dozens of arrests - including some highly placed members of the community - and sentences ranging from probation to life imprisonment. Peter Boag's Foreword places the book in historical perspective, summarizing the popular psychological theories and legal conceptions that helped to shape Gerassi's research. He discusses advances in Idaho's public approach to homosexuality and ways in which the provincialism chronicled by Gerassi persists to this day.

Open Question: Is spending $235,000 to remodel a government office bathroom a good use of taxpayer dollars?
The Washington Post has a report today about outgoing Interior Secretary andformer Idaho Gov. and Senator Dirk Kempthorne spending about $235K to renovate his office bathroom. [snip] Seems Kempthorne spent about $235,000 in taxpayer funds renovating the bathroom a few months ago, which included installing a new shower, a refrigerator and a freezer and buying monogrammed towels, department officials told our colleague Derek Kravitz. [snip] But department officials say much of the money was spent on lavish wood paneling and tile. Among the choice items found in the new bathroom: wainscot wood panels extending from floor to ceiling and cabinet doors revealing a working refrigerator and freezer. http://www.newwest.net/city/article/kempthorne_spent_235k_on_remodeling_bathroom/C108/L108/ Your taxpayer dollars at work? Or at waste? Shouldn't congress have to approve of this first? (more...)

Resolved Question: When WILL THE AMERICAN PEOPLE TAKE BACK THEIR REPUBLIC FROM THE CONTROL OF US CORPORATE GOVERNMENT?
DUN & BRADSTREET listings of government units, offices, agencies, and instrumentalities. No doubt about the search results regarding the complete ?federalization? or ?corporatization? of the purported ?government?. Nothing about the ?United States? or ?UNITED STATES? is as it appears or is commonly presumed to be. It is a ?de facto? ?doctrine of necessity? by ?occupation? in ?bankruptcy? operating for the benefit of undisclosed third-party Principals who also allege to be Holders in Due Course as ?Prime Creditors?. Lawful government was deconstructed when after the Civil War the states and the ten southern states were ?Reconstructed? during and within the Reconstruction Acts. The current form of ?government? has nothing to do with lawful ?government? or ?governance? of/by/for the people or the de jure union of several American states. Every aspect of the idea of ?government? has been incorporated and operates as an implied ?resultant? equity constructive TRUST and commercial franchise of the UNITED STATES, having no fixed or pre-determined rules to run by, because the organic rules operated ?without the United States?-District of Columbia, ?within the United States of America?, which is a diverse and distinctly different entity at law in commerce. This subject can be elaborated ad nauseam, but the gist is what you may have already summarized and concluded. How can a corporate executive of a non-Constitutional entity be held accountable to his actions under a Constitutional standard, where there is no one in any aspect of the same CORPORATION that has authority to do so? Furthermore, the CORPORATION itself has no nexus to the Organic Constitution for the United States of America, where exist the only mechanisms and constructs for ?lawful government? and protections of un/in-a-lien-able Rights under the Bill of Rights. The CORPORATION is itself an abomination. The Federal Convention 1787, September 14. The state delegates voted on the motion to delegate authority to Congress to incorporate or to grant charters of incorporation, and it was explicitly rejected. Resolved Question: Which political party is more corrupt; the Democrats or the Republicans?
Ok, lets count the ways. Both the Democrats and the Republicans have three pedophiles apiece lol. On the Democrat side you have Barney Frank, the Governor of New Jersey, and the last Governor of New York plus the current governor of New York who replaced him; the blind man who has had sex with girls he's not married to. On the Republican side you have the Representative from Virginia who was doing something homosexual just as Barney Frank (maybe the same boy lol) and a Senator from Idaho. The Democrats have lots and lots of crooks. The governor of Illinois, former governor of New york, the Black representative from New York City who is cheating on his taxes, the Black Representative from a Southern State who keeps his bribe money in the refrigerator, the liar we just elected President Barack Obama who is a stranger to the truth and soon will have lots and lots of scandals under his name. Oh,the Republicans have one Senator Stevens of Wyoming. (more...)
