Resolved Question: If I get a driver's permit in one state can i drive in a neighboring state?
If I get my driver's permit in Idaho in February, then move to the state of Washington in May, how will this affect me getting my license? I heard that if you get a driver's permit in any state you can drive (as long as you have an adult with you) in any state. Does that mean once I move to Washington I can continue driving with my Idaho permit and once I complete the 6 months go ahead and take the test to get a Washington state driver's license? Or must I get a Washington state driver's permit before getting a Washington State driver's license? (more...)

Resolved Question: this is a letter that i have wrote to get some word out there?
To whom it may concern, I would like to tell you what some of the votes and political decisions that have been made in this ?right to work? state has done to just our family. My husband has been a truck driver for over 10 years, he has never been late on a load, nor has he called in sick except one time that I can remember, that was due to injury on the job, he only allowed himself to be out of work for a few days. My husband started working for Brian Wilson Trucking in Emmett Idaho, whom praised his work all of the time that he worked there. With the economy going as you all know that it is, it was becoming harder for Brian Wilson to find loads for my husband to get. He would be laid over for a few days waiting, or he would be stuck at home for a day or two, all of this with no pay. My husband did not complain, not once. He was never late on a load with Brian Wilson trucking. Then I became ill, as I have severe anxiety and depression, I needed my medication changed. Since Brian Wilson Trucking was having a hard time finding loads, they said that if he could deliver the load on a Monday, that he could have a few days off, that way I would not have to go to the hospital to be monitored, since we had not insurance, and my husband could be home with me. This falls into the Family medical leave Act anyway. So Brian Wilson Trucking told my husband to be at the truck yard by 7:30 AM. He arrived at 7:00 AM, to warm up his truck which much to his surprise was gone. My husband immediately called and was told that he was late, so they had someone else take the load. He politely informed them that he was half an hour early, however that he was sorry perhaps he misunderstood. I heard the conversation that he had the night before, and it was said for him to be there at 7:30 Am as we have loud volume on our phone. My husband was called the next day, and told to pick up his final paycheck. He was at that point under the understanding that he was being laid off, on the check stub was written, ?I hope everything works out for you, and good luck? What a kind message we thought, knowing how the loads were doing. So naturally my husband filed for his unemployment, and started looking for work. Much to our surprise, my husband was denied unemployment for being fired for being consistently late. At that point, what could we do, we were told that it was near impossible to fight this sort of thing. Now, a couple of months later, I stand in the food bank line every Tuesday afternoon so that we can have food for our children, we have two girls, one is 5 years old and is named Darbi, and the other is 9 years old and is named Kati. They are good girls who deserve a Christmas. Unfortunately, thanks to Brian Wilson Trucking and the non rights for workers in the state of Idaho, my children get to learn how there is no such thing as santa clause. My oldest daughter is one of the singing angels at the Nazarene church, she sings like an angel, believing that this is the most exciting time in the world for her, because it is Christmas. My youngest has no idea that her Daddy being home everyday is bad, she thinks that it is great she gets to see her daddy all the time now. We do not have the heart to tell her that because he is home, that santa will not be at our house this Christmas. My children cannot wait to decorate a Christmas tree that will never arrive. We are on food stamps, but that does not put gas in our vehicle, or pay our rent. We have lived at 923 s Hayes Ave, unit b for over two years now, and love our neighborhood. When we get that eviction notice, we have no where to go. What shall I tell my singing angel and daddy?s little girl then? Perhaps one of you, maybe you can have Brian Wilson Trucking tell my children why they are not going to have a Christmas, and why we may be homeless. Why does my husband keep getting bad reviews from Brian Wilson trucking when all he and I ever heard was how wonderful of a driver he was? My husband has looked everywhere for jobs, we have sold off what we can a pawned rings that belonged to my late mother so that we could buy medicine for my children when they had an awful cold. Of course we are just one family, and Brian Wilson Trucking is just one of the many greedy, hypocritical businesses that thinks that they can get away with these things. There are many families suffering because of this greed and thoughtlessness. So I want to ask, how do you people who voted for this sleep at night knowing that we are not sleeping because we worry for our children. Please make at least some note of this letter, I am so tired of crying myself to sleep at night. Karen Thomas voted for Idaho to be a right to work state, this means that the employer has the right say and do what he wants without rights to the employee. We live in a red state. other wise we would be able to fight this, and frankly it is people who just want to pretend that these things do not happen everyday to good people, and prefer to ignore these things that make this country what it is. that is my point, to be heard so that people may think about the bigger picture before they vote. Resolved Question: Idaho resident, living at a boarding school in Washington. Can I get a Washington state driver's license?
Next semester my parents will be sending me to a boarding school about 30 miles from Seattle. I'm a resident of Idaho, and I've never gotten my license in any state before. Can I get my driver's license in Washington state while I'm there? Or do you have to be a resident of Washington to get a Washington state driver's license. Resolved Question: I attend college in ID but am from CA, have had a ID license for 2 years but move a lot. Where do I vote?
The question would not allow enough detail. I go to college in Idaho and have had an Idaho drivers license for about 2 years. But when I am done with college I am going to live back at home in California. My parents place in California is the only "permanent" place that I have. I can only live in the apartments here in Idaho while I am in college. Does the Idaho License make me a resident of Idaho? I only ask because the only they say "permanent" residence and I have none in Idaho and do in California... The last time I voted I was registered in California. Would it be illegal for to vote absentee from Idaho because I want vote on prop 8 (more...)

Resolved Question: I moved from Idaho to New Jersey and am using my dads car, the title is in his name and so is the ID insurance?
I just moved from Idaho to New Jersey. The car I am using has Idaho plates, tags and title is registered to my dad in Idaho. It also has idaho insurance which I am on. Now, how can we make it without transferring the title(it's not allowed because he still owes money on it) that I can insure myself to drive the car in my new state of NJ? I don't have my drivers license here yet, it's still my Idaho one so I'll have to get that switched and get the car registered(how do i do this when i don't own the title) and then buy insurance(how do i do this when i don't own the title). Can anyone help? Can I still be covered in NJ if I get an NJ license and have Idaho insurance, plates, and tags? (more...)

Resolved Question: HERE IS SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE READ?
love telling new but here something i don't want to post it is concerning mostly at my school in Michigan any here i wan you to know mostly since halloween is coming Danger in disguise: candy-flavor drugs Strawberry meth hasn't hit locally in a big way, but police are on lookout What if someone had the brilliant notion to make "the world's most dangerous drug" sweet tasting by adding candy flavors and making it look like Pop Rocks? Well, someone did and it might be catching on. As a father of a fifth grader, I was naturally concerned when I heard about the newest form of methamphetamine, known as "candy-meth." An e-mail has been circulating on the Web, alleging that candy-flavored meth is being passed out to kids at elementary schools. To verify evidence to support the claims in the e-mail go to Snopes.com . (see link http://www.snopes.com/horrors/drugs/candymeth.asp), Candy meth is a potential threat to anyone tricked into thinking that it?s not harmful. Parents need to be informed on what kind of drugs are out there. Furthermore, parents need to talk to their children about the present dangers of drugs. Here are the basic facts that exist regarding candy-flavored meth: - candy meth is most commonly flavored with strawberry and is known on the street as "Strawberry Quick." - other flavors may include chocolate, peanut butter, cola, cherry, grape, and orange - tell your children to never accept candy from strangers, or even friends if received from someone else -meth is especially dangerous for kids, with symptoms of anxiety, paranoia, and increased heart rate I am sure we can expect it in the future as trends tend to move through the larger cities," said Deputy Chief Julian Bernal, head of Dallas' narcotics division. The Drug Enforcement Administration's Dallas office has not encountered the drug, but local agents are on the lookout, said spokeswoman Terri K. Wyatt. "These are evil drug dealers who are marketing to kids," Special Agent Wyatt said. Local bust At 2 a.m. Tuesday, a Lake Worth officer spotted a man sleeping inside a Pontiac Firebird parked at a Sonic restaurant on State Highway 199. When police searched Ronnie N. Smith's car, they found more than 400 grams of strawberry meth in two large plastic bags, in addition to various prescription drugs, several stolen credit cards and driver's licenses and about $1,800 in cash. The pink crystals in the large bags tested positive for meth, said Lake Worth police Capt. Dave Tatsak. While officers weren't inclined to give the stuff a taste test ? doing so would be illegal ? it "definitely smelled like strawberry," he said. Mr. Smith, 45, of Jacksboro, was arrested on drug possession charges and was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail. He requested an attorney and refused to talk to investigators, leaving them with no idea where he got the Strawberry Quick or what his intentions with it were. On April 11, a Fort Worth police officer found the drug during a traffic stop. About 5 p.m., the officer pulled over a Ford Explorer on a traffic violation in the 2300 block of Ridgmar Plaza and found a 20-year-old man in possession of some prescription Tylenol for which he had no prescription. On the way to jail, the officer saw that the man was squirming, and once at the jail, the officer looked under the back seat and found a cigarette wrapper. It contained about a gram of "pink-colored, crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamines," also known as Strawberry Quick, the officer wrote in the report. "Depending on what the manufacturers use to cut the meth down, it can have various coloration, including pink," said Lt. Dean Sullivan, a Fort Worth police spokesman. "But our officers watch the TV news, too, so the catch phrase 'Strawberry Quick' did appear in at least one report." He said he knew of no other accounts of the drug in Fort Worth. About a dozen other local police agencies contacted said they had not come across the drug. Growing concern Concern over strawberry meth spiked nationally in February, when the Nevada Department of Public Safety's special investigations unit issued a police bulletin alerting law enforcement colleagues that the Carson City Sheriff's Department had seized some of the substance in late January. The bulletin noted that the drug first turned up in Sacramento, Calif., where dealers were cooking meth with strawberry-flavored drink mix to cut down on the drug's bitter taste when snorted. "If meth is cut with something after it is cooked, it loses its potency," said Special Agent Wyatt in Dallas. "With this, it's cooked into it. It's not diluted. It retains its potency." Arkansas police also have reported finding strawberry meth, and the DEA in Washington, D.C., reports that a similar pinkish-red crystalline drug has turned up in Washington state, Idaho, New Mexico, Missouri and Minnesota. Two weeks ago, the rise in reports prompted Se (more...)
