Twin Falls Idaho
Twin Falls Idaho A movie about conjoined (or "Siamese") twins and a prostitute sounds like a bad joke or a sleazy porn flick, but Twin Falls Idaho is actually an eerie, atmospheric story about love and mutual dependence. Penny (Michele Hicks) gets called to a dingy hotel room where she discovers Blake and Francis Falls (twin brothers Mark and Michael Polish). When they go into the bathroom to get her a glass of water, she flees--but forgets her purse. When she returns, Blake and Francis don't get angry; they accept her fear and horror with sad resignation. Their vulnerability draws Penny into their lives, as she learns that the illness of one twin threatens the lives of both. Twin Falls Idaho moves slowly, but the pace never drags. The lush cinematography is drenched in color; the makeup, costumes, and set design feel not quite contemporary and combine to give the movie a dislocated, otherworldly look. The movie was written by the Polish brothers and directed by Michael; though it's their first film, it feels confident and has a sweet, melancholy humor. The performances of the entire cast--including supporting appearances by Patrick Bauchau, Lesley Ann Warren, and Garrett Morris--are consistent and strong. Though clearly influenced by David Lynch (Blue Velvet, Twin Peaks), Twin Falls Idaho slowly becomes a unique and affecting creation. The delicate image of the twin brothers quietly whispering in each other's ears will linger in your memory long after the movie ends. --Bret Fetzer

Open Question: Separated for 2 months, husband wants to claim head of household and child credit?
We lived in Idaho and my husband left me and my son for another woman. At that time I had no where to go because I couldn't afford our rent by myself and my husband took our only car.I had a job but I wasn't making enough to survive on my own.I took it really hard when he left me so my sister flew me and my son down to California since my whole family lives in Cali. I've been here for 2 months and I'm planning on moving back to Idaho to get a house with my very close friend who just filed for divorce also. I've asked my husband to start the divorce process since he can afford it and I can't, but he still hasn't filed. Anyways, our son is living with me and my husband hasn't sent us any money to help with his diapers/food/medicine or anything even though I've asked (I'm in the process of trying to get child support) Today he emailed me and said he is claiming head of household and child credit because he needs the money more than I do to pay for his bills...also, his job doesn't take anything out from his paychecks for taxes He will most likely get his w2's before I can get mine My question is, Is he allowed to claim child credit when our son is living with me? also, is there any way I can file my taxes without my w2s? and, is there any way I can prevent him from claiming our son? and last, is he allowed to go to H&R Block and claim my son without my sons social security card? Resolved Question: My husband is deploying Jan. 15 and Im pregnant?
We just found out that we are pregnant and my husband is deploying to Quatar for 6 months and Im scared to do this alone. I will be having the baby late July early August and I don't want to be alone and I can't go home(Idaho) I live in Texas right now and I can't afford too and my family can't stay with me either. I was trying to get a job but no one here wants to hire and Im new to the whole military wife thing and know no one here and Im having such a hard time with this. Has anyone dealt with this or something similar and if you did what did you do. O and by the way I have 3 dogs and I walk them and that takes my mind off of things but doctors and everything all by myself I just can't do. (more...)

ok, for my husband and I 2nd anniversary in july we were thinking of going there. we talked to a travel agent and they said around 2600. dreams resort all inclusive. plus air. we want to go july 13-16. ive asked family and all they say is drink... ok a drink or 2 is ok but not my whole trip. swim... I can go to california for cheaper... so I don't see the real big deal. We were thinking las vegas. ive been there but still.. gamble and drink... not my thing. our budget is around 2500. we are in idaho so if anybody has good ideas or advise that would be great!!! Resolved Question: Converting AVI files?
I bought a digital camera that also has a camcorder. When I take a video of my kids and upload it to the computer, it is an AVI file. Apparently, I can't do anything with that kind of file. I was trying to upload the videos onto YouTube (private, not public) for my family in Idaho to view, but I guess I have to convert them to a different kind of file first. I downloaded three different kinds of converters, but after they convert the video, they all have this big thing in the middle of the screen 'reminding' me that it only costs $25 (or something like that) to buy the software. Frankly, I spent enough money on the camera, not expecting to run into this problem. Am I doing something wrong, here? Help would be greatly appreciated. I'm running on Windows XP. I do apparently have a Windows Movie Maker. Can I use that? Thanks for the tip... I did, in fact, try Google already. That's where I got the 3 aforementioned converters. (more...)

My husband was in a terrible accident while working. What I want to know is if anybody has had Dr. Friedman as thier doctor and there experiance as him for their workerscomp doctor. Did you by chance go to the famous Elk Rehabilitation Center what was your outcome? What about your personal dealings with Liberty Mutual thereselves. Does anybody Know Monte Whitter the lawyer for Liberty Mutual. I would like to get peoples real life stories out there. I am starting hear first. Resolved Question: Cool American cities to live in?
By my late 20s I wanna get married and by my early 30s I wanna have kids. Where would be a cool place to settle down, not just a place fun for families but fun for all people in general? Here are some qualities that I'm interested in: -Diversity, not just black people and white people, but people of many different nations, cultures, and languages. -Good schools -not politically conservative. I'm cool with political diversity I don't want it to be a 99% democrat area, but if its extremely conservative like Idaho or Texas I'm not cool with that. -the city shouldn't be in a state that's drowning in debt, preferably Please give good reasons why you think a city is a good place to live, don't just state the name of the city. Voting Question: to get into foster care?
i am 15, and i am very unhappy at home. my parents treat me very unfairly. they hit me with coat hangers, towels, and threaten to do many things. my dad smashes and breaks things. it hurts alot emotionally, and i hate it. i have talked to my school counselor about this, and she says it's not enough to be taken out. idk. in 6th grade i was placed into a foster home for nothing that big, or involving any abuse or anthing i did, and the family i was with was very very loving, and i finally got to experience some happiness with a family. i live in boise idaho. does anyone know a website, or someone in the agencies that i could email or somethign about this with?? what are the requirements to get into a foster home? pleaseeee help. i really really appreciate it.
