Ok my question is I live in WI and am going to apply for childcare assistance.. The only issue is my bf makes 21000 a year right now. so like 1750 a month in gross income. We have a son that is 6 months old. we have so many bills each month let me give you a list. Both cars 780 Hospital Bill 150 Car insurance 181 Furniture about 100 my credit card minum 15 my bfs credit card like 30 my cell phone 85 my bfs cell phone 80 another bill my bf pays like 100 or something This is so much Plus gas, food for the baby. And we just moved to WI from Idaho I want to get a job so we can get our own place because we are living with my dad right now but its like if i get a job say making at least 9 an hour then our income together may make it so we are not eligible for the childcare assistance but our situation is so horrible. If i get a job and pay for childcare then i have no money for rent and we would have no money for anything extra like food electricity and everything else.and before we could afford everything because my bf was making 40000 a year but lost his job and I had a job making 11 an hour plus tips everyday. and we only had our son at day care about 2 days a week because our work schedule worked out so good.so its like now all our money is so tight! I do not know I am just so worried with my money situation and I need a job so I can pay my part of the bills, but im scared if i get a job then We have to pay a lot of money towards daycare that we dont have and wont be able to move out. ok here is the story. a friend of mine married a guy in the marine corps. weeks after the wedding he was deployed. one year later he returned home and moved "her" and "all of her furniture/personal possesions" from northern Idaho to a marine base in North Carolina. needless to say this did not last long. she returned back home and proceeded to file divorce papers. with a little help from a local law shop she divided their personal property and debts on the forms, received out of state papers stamped by the judge and a copy of a military wavier because aparently you cant divorce military without permission. its a law that was passed in world war two. the husband refuses to sign papers or have any contact with the wife. the wife has epilepsy and needs divorce papers to get on state insurace for untill then she has no home any way to work or tend to her health. military chaplin and other staff were contacted but they as well refused to help. if anyone has any ideas, please help is needed (more...)

My family moved into an apartment in Salt Lake City, Utah in June 2006 with a contract for a one-year lease. While living there, we constantly had problems with water leaks, mold and other damages that were not fixed in a timely manner, if at all. I have all of this documented as well as I can in a journal, though no pictures or copies of written communications with the landlord/manager. I also have health issues documented, as my daughter and I have severe allergies and asthma. So we spent a lot of time at the doctor?s in the time we resided in this apartment. We terminated our contract early to move to Idaho and paid all associated fees before vacating the apartment. We moved out on April 12, 2007. While removing our furniture, we found a huge amount of water damage to the carpet and wall in the master bedroom. The complex manager did a walk-through checkout with my husband on that date. She told them that the water damage was from a foundation leak and that we were not responsible for the damage. She did not write anything on the itemized move-out condition checklist and said verbally that we would receive all or most of our deposit in the mail in about a month. On May 21st, we still had not received our deposit. I contacted the manager and she said to fax her a written request to know where the deposit was and she would pass it on to the landlord. I did so by the end of the week. On June 4th, I received my first communication from the landlord with a carbon copy of the move-out condition report. It had new writing on it that was not there when we moved out. It said due to replacing a light fixture and the carpet, we owed them $1080. In the same letter, they threatened to take us to court if we did not pay in a timely manner (remember, this is our first communication from them). The next day, June 5th, I received a photocopy of the move-out condition report. It is obviously a copy of the above one, based on my signature and date. It has more new things written on it about things needing replacement. Than states that due to carpet cleaning, replacement costs, and general cleaning, we owe nothing, but are not getting our $300 deposit back. To a family of four, where the parents are full-time students and bring in less than $2000/month in income, this is a huge amount of money we?re talking about. But fighting this is very difficult, as we are no longer in the state and don?t have the funds to travel back and forth. What do we need to do? A cannot afford a legal advisor, and our school does not have a legal department for students. (more...)
