Resolved Question: Is this supposed to help them win future games?
Team Dumps Logo Near Buttocks After 70-0 Loss
BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Vandals football team is dumping the letter "I" from the buttocks region of players' new pants following a season-opening 70-0 loss to the Arizona Wildcats.
Rob Spears, the school's athletic director, says nobody realized just how the logo placed in the center of the players' behinds would look before they tried their pants on.
Spears told the Idaho Statesman the sewn-in University of Idaho logo has since been hastily removed by equipment managers after complaints.
Spears says there was a miscommunication with equipment supplier Nike over the placement of the logo.
"I was disappointed with the look and the appearance," Spears says. "It's changed."
As a result, the Vandal pants will be logo-less when the team's players suit up for their game this Saturday with Idaho State University.

Resolved Question: shouldn't LARRY CRAIG just come out of the closet now?
"The lead story in this morning's Idaho Statesman swings the spotlight back to Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, with claims from five gay men who "say they had sex with Craig or that he made a sexual advance or that he paid them unusual attention."

Resolved Question: Is Sen. Craig saying that the paper's investigation of him caused him to seek solace n the airport men's room?
I thought I had heard it all until this one. Is Larry Craig actually saying that the pressure caused by the local newspaper's (ie, The Idaho Statesman) investigation of his sex life made him seek relief in the bathroom stalls of Minnesota? This is so jaw-dropping that you couldn't write it!

Resolved Question: Idaho Statesman U.S. Senator, Larry Craig....Gay? NOT Gay?
Says he..."I am not gay, I never have been gay."
You know the story by now...
On June 11, 2007, Senator Craig was arrested at the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport on suspicion of lewd conduct. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct on August 8, 2007, in a Hennepin County, Minnesota court.
According to the arresting officer who sat in a bathroom stall as part of an undercover operation investigating previous reports of sexual activity in the bathroom...Craig tapped his right foot, recognized as a signal used by persons wishing to engage in lewd conduct. Craig tapped his toes several times and moves his foot closer to my foot....he moved his right foot so that it touched the side of my left foot which was within my stall area. Craig then proceeded to swipe his hand under the stall divider several times.
Today in a press conference, he denies he is gay.

Fiesta Bowl star Ian Johnson says he's hired wedding security because of racist threats
July 25, 2007
BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- The Boise State running back who scored the winning points in the Fiesta Bowl, then proposed to his cheerleader girlfriend on national television, says he has hired security for their wedding because of racial threats.
Ian Johnson, who is black, and Chrissy Popadics, who is white, are due to be married Saturday in Boise.

Since his Jan. 1 proposal, Johnson said, he has received phone calls, letters and some personal threats from people who object to their marriage plans.
"You take it for what it is -- the less educated, the less willing to change," Johnson, 21, of San Dimas, Calif., told the Idaho Statesman for its Tuesday editions. "But we're not acting like we're naive to all the stuff that's going on. We know what's been said. We're going to make sure we're safe at all times. It's an amazing day for us, and we'd hate to have it ruined by someone."
"It's really sad because a lot of people that are probably doing it are the same people who were cheering me on," Johnson said.
A Boise State football spokesman, Todd Miles, said Tuesday that Johnson hoped to put the matter behind him and did not want to discuss it further. Popadics' family said she was not available.
At the Fiesta Bowl, Johnson used a "Statue of Liberty" play to score the winning two-point conversion as underdog Boise State beat the Oklahoma Sooners 43-42 in overtime. The Broncos ended their season 13-0.
