Resolved Question: What kind of bug is in my Frosted Wheats cereal?
I've never seen this bug before until this Fall. Its a tiny completely black bug only a few millimeters in length. The closest thing I've been able to find in appearance might be a Merchant Grain Beetle though I've been unable to determine the definite size and color from the Wikipedia and other websites. Since then I've bought all new cereals and clamped them closed after use as there are too many to pick out.
I see them around the house too, not just in my cereal.
I live in the Idaho Palouse. And secondly, why have I never noticed them until now?

There you have it folks! Happy voting.
I had forgot to mention that Palin's mayor and governer positions are part-time legislative positions.
Jan- I only brought it up because of the republican argument that Palin is more experienced than Obama. I agree the comparison should be made between McCain and Obama, not Obama and Palin. I'm simply debunking the myths that are coming from your party.
Thanks for contributing.
Jan- also she wasnt mayor for 10 years- she was mayor for 6 years...part time.
You might want to check up on your facts.
Jan- also, her experience as a mayor was for a city with a population of 6700 people. There are more children in a single chicago public school district than in the whole town that she governed. School superintendents have to balance budgets and enforce rules as well. Does a chicago school superintendent, with the same responsibilities as a mayor of alaska, then qualify to be vice president since he also handles a larger population?

Resolved Question: Opinions on this blue law?
Some fun facts:
The state of Idaho has an abundance of natural beauty and pristine lakes. Colliers ranked Idaho 3rd in overall national job growth in 2006. Boise was ranked the 8th best city to live in by Money Magazine...and...if you come to Idaho, you will never have to worry that your neighbors are acting against your religious values behind their closed doors, because....
In the state of Idaho, oral sex between a man and woman is considered to be a "crime against nature."
Compliments of Christian blue laws.

Does that please you, fundamentalists? I sure hope someone is getting pleased around here! ^_^
Of course, Luke. Unlike you, my husband gets his.

Resolved Question: Is depression the leading cause of suicide, or is there another...?
...problem that is the major contributing factor leading to suicide? Several years ago my sister was diagnosed as bi-polar. About two years ago or so she tried to meet her Maker. Our mama was on the ball & prevented that, barely!
We moved her to a small town in Idaho & she had her own home there, thanks to our baby sis &her hubby. We figured the move, new scenery & that being with in twenty minutes of our baby sisses ranch would keep her to active to make another attempt at suicide.
It did'nt. My baby sis was on the ball this time & got the EMT's to get her to a hospital in Lewiston. They evaluated her as NOT bi-polar but suffering from massive depression. She's got it "good" back in Spokane but is still depressed. What gives? Is this a spiritual symptom like a "spirt" of depression? She does exhibit panic disorder to a tee according to a wikipedia article I read. When confronted, she admitted to having PD for many years. How does one stop being depressed, or is that possible?
Tammy, ***WHY*** do YOU want to escape your mind??? Your mind is YOU, like YOUR spirit! WHAT depresses you, what does it feel like, like depression coming INTO you or is the depression already there like a flickering light??? What would it take to UNdepress you?
I gotta let this one go up for vote.

Resolved Question: Why are football stadiums so expensive in Canada?
UB built UB stadium in 1993 for 23M. At the time it was 16.5K capacity.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_at_Buffalo_Stadium
SMU paid 42 Million to build Gerald J. Ford stadium in 1999. It seats 32K.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerald_J._Ford_Stadium
The University of Idaho was quoted $30M for a 30K stadium in the last 10 years. SIU is paying $25.3 M for a 15K stadium. Fargodome (capacity 19k) was built in 1992 for 48M. Tenn-chatt built a 22K stadium for 28.5M in 1997.
You can certainly find expensive stadiums. The Florida sunbelt schools are notorious for lavish spending. FAU, which is pretty grandiose in it's plans ---their 30K stadium is running 62M. FIU spent 54M in 1995 to build a 23K stadium...but those are not the norm.
Moncton is paying 27M today to build a stadium with what appears to be 5K backed seats, another 5K in premanently attached bleachers, and 10K more in temporary bleachers.
What is it with the Stadium costs in Canada?
nah, the exchange rate is about even now. I don't get why all talk of new Canadian stadiums seem so ridiculously expensive. Does the work actually cost more up there or are the wrong elements being prioritized?
That's probably it, Fred.
I am just shocked that it is so expensive to build these things. I would think that people would evolve their stadium strategies (ie. cut corners) to deal with rising costs. I know the idea is to have individual seats and the all the niceties built in, but frankly if the league minimum is supposedly a 25K stadium and you are on a budget, maybe some rethinking needs to occur to make sure you hit the requisite capacity.
