Open Question: Does it really count to take Drivers Ed online, I'm in California?
To get my learners permit, the California Driver Handbook says you have to have a. completed drivers education and driver training, b.completed drivers education and are taking driver training, c.enrolled and participating in an approved integrated drivers ed/driver training program.
So I'm guessing the driver training cant be done at home, obviously at the DMV[?].
But is it possible to take online driver training, is it legal? Is it legitimate?
Any information is needed.
I meet all the other requirements expect this area. Help. :)

Resolved Question: What can I do if I already paid a fine in excess of the maximum legal amount in California?
I live in Arizona and recently had a court date for a speeding ticket I received in California. According to the officer I violated V.C. 22348-B however, it was my first and only violation in that or any state. (I had never been pulled over or ticketed for anything before).
When I argued my defense and the validity of the ticket the judge made sarcastic remarks saying it didn't matter, even if I was going 99mph or less, and still assigned a fine of $743. However, upon researching the V.C. I found the maximum fine he can impose upon the first conviction of this is $500.
I paid the fine in full on that day but I believe the judge ruled unlawfully and the district attorney who was assigned to me (even when questioned) was negligent as neither made an attempt to adhere to the mentioned clause of the V.C. law. My question now is what can I do to possibly get my $243 back, or at least report the judge's blatant negligence?
"Upon a first conviction of a violation of this subdivision, by a fine of not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500). The court may also suspend the privilege of the person to operate a motor vehicle for a period not to exceed 30 days pursuant to Section 13200.5. "

Lost I-94 need to renew my drivers license?
here is the case. I have lost my I-94 ( the only means that DMV can verify that i am a legal resident). I replaced the immigration office to ask how long it would take to replace my I-94 and they said about a year. My drivers license will expire before i get my I-94. I haven't reported to the police that i have lost my I-94. Do u think the paper i would get my reporting could help me renew my license? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

Resolved Question: I have a job offer letter with contigent!?
I have a job offer in writing stated: "This offer of employment is contingent to a sucessful pre-employment drug screen, health review and a favorable DMV records, and all the legal documents to work in the U.S." They ask me to go DMV get my records and I did summitted to them, and my drug test was good.
My question is: Why the offer letter does not said anything about the BACKGROUND CHECK as one of the contingent condition. Does it mean this company is not running a background check? Should they including background check in this letter? So far, I have not fill out any paper works such as application or forms, I will do that next week on my first orientation day. I know that that have not run a background check on me because they do not have any information from me such as SSN or driver license.
Will they run a background check after I have worked there? It doesn't make sense if they do that?
Have anyone run into the same situation? Got hired then your employer run background check but never metion in the offer letter?
PS: They have already give me a starting date which is next Monday
Well, they did have my driver license I guess because I gave them a copy of my DMV record.
The reason I ask this question because most of the offer letter that I have read they always including background check and verification as one of the CONTINGENT for employment.
I did call and ask them if I need to update anything, they said that I am good to go. I can go ahead and give my notice to my current employer.

Resolved Question: How to extend the court date for 3months or more?
So what happen was, I only had my learner's permit and I crashed in to a parked car in the street. I was driving alone with no adults. The police came and gave me a ticket. The ticket listed says 1)Unlicensed driver 2)unsure insurance. this two things. I need to go to the court by January 21st. The cop said the judge might delay me for 1or 2years of getting my license. My friends told me everything is depended on judge. If I get the nice judge, the judge might not give me any kind of penalty and make me just pay the fine. But the bad judge make me even more longer time to get my legal license Like until im 18 or 21 . So I came up with a plan. Let me see how u guys think of this idea OK ---> First, If haven't got in an accident, I would be getting my license just after a 6months of getting my permit which is April 21st. What i'm thinking is... to Extend the court date for like a 3months. So I can get my license before I go to the court, because once I go to the court and meet the judge I don't know whats going to happen, either just paying the fine, or suspended license. I called the dmv and asked "is there any suspension on my permit", They said "no" Its clear. And for the extention what kind of excuse can I make? to get the longest extended date? (I'm thinking of saying that I dont have enough money to pay the fine) Do u think this plan will work? The goal is to get my license without having any delay. Please help Thanks!!

Resolved Question: I need help on a Vermont blinker (directional signal) question?
I got pulled over the other day for not using my turn signal and ticketed for that and other things yet I don't think it's legal for him to pull me over and if thats so I get all the fines removed. All the vermont DMV says a bout it is the following..
§ 1249. Directional signal lamps
A person shall not operate on a highway in this state a pleasure car, pleasure car with trailer coach attached, motor truck, truck-tractor in combination with a trailer or semi-trailer, motor bus, or school bus registered in Vermont, manufactured or assembled after January 1, 1955, unless such vehicle is equipped with directional signal lamps, of a type approved by the commissioner, on front and rear of such vehicle or combination. (Amended 1971, No. 228 (Adj. Sess.), § 32.)
I was not operation my vehicle on a state highway.

Voting Question: Job offer letter and contingent ?
I have a offer in writing and the letter wrote: "This offer is contingent to a pre-drug screen, health review and faforble DMV record, and all the legal document to work in the U.S." Why aren't they said something about the background check and verification in this letter as a contingent? Does it mean they will not run a background check? Are they suppose to stated in the letter if they are doing a background? why even give me a offer before doing background check or if they are doing a background and verification then why not metion in the offer letter?
P.S. I have not fill out an application with them yet, I suppose they will ask me to do that next week on my orientation day. They did sent me to drug screen and ask me to go to DMV to get my driving record (The reason is that sometime I will need to use company vehicle, but the position is not for driving job)
So far, they do not even have my SSN or any kind of paper work except my resume and a offer letter that they have ask me to sign, so i am sure they have not done the background check on me.
