I just moved into a new apartment complex within the same neighborhood I was before but I moved there because of the amenities among other things. I found out that my apartment was very noisy so I decided to move again to a top floor. However, I am not sure yet whether the top floor will be a better deal within that community. Another choice is to move back to where I was and get a 2-bedroom. Where I was was also kind of noisy but tolerable. I don't want to end up going back just because of this unanswered question. Does any one have a suggestion? I already asked some neighbors who live on top floors and they said it was great. Any other suggestions to avoid making the same mistake twice? Thanks! (more...)

My husband and I are buying our first house. We've been married 2 years, plan to have kids soon, and are sick of living in a sardine can apartment with noisy neighbors. Completely understandable, right? We decided not to tell our families about our decision until we'd picked out a house b/c we didn't want them trying to overly-involve themselves. We found one we like. Called his parents to TELL THEM of the decision we'd already made (not ask their permission). They flipped out & told us we were being stupid. Called my family & they were happy for us. My grandparents offered to pay for closing costs. We told them we could get the seller to pay closing, but if they wanted to help, they could help us with the downpayment. They said, "No, we want to pay closing." We didn't ask for help-- they offered it. I'm not going to turn away free money. We were supposed to make an offer today. The mortgage broker said we need my grandparents to write a gift letter, and attach a voided check and 2 months bank statements. I told my grandpa this. He got pissed & started yelling at me. "Why do they need to see MY bank statements?! I wouldn't even let the president of the united states see my statements!" and about had a heart attack. I'm sitting here crying... 1.) Why do they need to see his bank statements? 2.) If it becomes too much of an issue, how can I just tell my grandparents that I love them dearly, but don't want their help if they're going to be stubborn? (more...)

Ok, this is a long story. But I will definitely give stars to those who take the time to read and answer. This has caused me stress for a long time. About a year ago I made a fake myspace page. i was trying to get information on my daughter's father because he basically disappeared so he wouldnt have to pay child support. anyways I made up this chick Ashleigh. made her the complete opposite of me, so I could try to befriend my ex's sister and get some info. well the page went too far. it was interesting to get to know people without them knowing who I was. I have this best friend. and he has this brother, who I was always kind of curious about. I guess I thought he was cute. So i friend requested him from the fake page, just so I could see his page. well we started chatting, and I thought it was harmless. It wasn't. I mean I just clicked with this guy. Like completely. We were talking every day all day. Online and on the phone. My only save was that I lived 3 states away according to my fake profile. Truth was I lived down the street from him. He became friends with my friend online, and I became friends with him. I mean we just fell for each other. It was rare and so crazy and so fast. and I tried to end it so many times because I knew how wrong it was. But he made it impossible. I just loved him too much. and I asked him would he love me no matter what, and he swore he would. I cant go into every detail, but just know we did love each other. so finally I told him the truth. and I told his brother who was my friend the truth. well at first it seemed ok. we even hung out one time. but i think it was all to much. he stopped talking to me. and i guess he never really did forgive me. he even told me once that he had always wanted to know the real me. and it was like, well now you do...but he just couldnt cope. anyways his brother and I are still friends. and even one of his other friends has forgiven me and we still talk and are friends. so why cant this guy forgive me? I mean we cant even be friends? We shared so much. and I believe our feelings were real even if everything else wasnt. i didnt fall for him for his looks. i dont give a damn what he looks like. i fell in love with his heart. those words, all those words between us. its sad that it ended that way. i know its all my fault. but i never intentionally meant for it to happen. things just went out of control. and i have learned better now not to be noisy or deceitful because everyone ends up getting hurt. its been almost a year since things ended that way, and I am still not over it. i still feel horrible, and I even miss him. even as my friend, I miss him. i wish i could change it. i wish i could just find the right words to say. and maybe its impossible. i dont know anymore. i guess i should just let it go. but for 3 months he meant the world to me, and I meant the world to him. he told me i was the love of his life. he said he'd wait his whole life for just one day with me. we wrote each other poems. it was just so much. God, I just miss him. and its strange i am still friends with his brother and his friend. they forgave me, why cant he? has anyone ever done this? is there anything i can do to make this wrong right? i know we wont be together, i accepted that. but is there no hope for friendship...ever??? I work as a freelance steel pans and drums tutor 5 days a week for approximately 8 hours per day. I love my job but it is quite noisy. I work with kids playing the pans from groups of 5 to 20 and I accompany them on the drum kit so it's music music music all day long. I am 12 weeks pregnant and continuing to work However one of the teachers told me today I should cut down my hours as the music and vibrations is bad for the baby! Is this true?? I can't cut my hours as i'm self-employed and counting on evey penny I make as I have to save up as i don't get much maternity pay (well the government rate of £117 isn't going to get me through the week). Also my boyfriend is out of work so no joy there either. However I don't want to do anything that will harm the baby. (more...)

We play with toys, noisy and quiet, we practice sitting up, we play pat a cake, I sing sing sing most of the day. She has an exersaucer we use once or twice a day. We practice rolling over. I try to make her laugh, and she does and smiles alot but to get a real big silly laugh is very hard. She has alone time too, and practices yelling most times in her crib before a nap or after. You know you're a Deafie if you've ever wore a body worn aid or a body worn auditory trainer with that sexy harness! Ive looked everywhere, and i still haven't found a definitive answer. A few days ago, one of my fans (I'm pretty sure its the heat sink fan, the one on the back of the computer right?) started making a ton of noise. At first i didn't think much of it, seeing that the noise was no big deal. But the day after, when i turned it on, it was even louder. Again, i thought it was no big deal, and that it would fix itself. But just yesterday, when i turned it on, it started up and immediately shut down after a few seconds. I did some research and found that it was caused by overheating. I opened up the back of my computer, cleaned the fan and everything else, put it back on, and tried turning it on again, only to find out that cleaning it did nothing. The noise was still there and the computer kept turning off. Now my hypothesis is either that the fan isn't turning fast enough, causing my computer to overheat and thus, turns it off. I'm thinking if i put some lubricant on that little spindle thing under the sticker (That's what the internet told me to do) the noise will stop, it will turn faster, and my computer will work fine again. I don't have any lubricant on me, and i don't to mess with my computer without knowing exactly whats going on. Can someone help me? O.k Correction, it is the PSU fan. Sorry for the confusion.
