Basil, Olivia, and Basil's assistant, Dr. Dawson, are part of an intricate city system of Victorian-era London mice. Basil quickly realizes his archenemy, Professor Ratigan (a rat who wants to be a mouse), is behind the abduction. Ratigan (voiced by Vincent Price) fiendishly aspires to take over London rodents--and will stop at nothing to achieve his greatest desire. The unlikely trio of good guys become heroes, of course. The engaging story line is a perfect introduction to Doyle's work and mysteries in general. Look for a very cleverly executed voice-cameo by Basil Rathbone (as Sherlock Holmes, natch). I find it more times than not, that they are just the opposite and that papers from around the world have more truth in them than the one sided USA media. Take for instance the Israeli and Palestinian conflict. It is finally coming out that Israel is the one who broke the cease fire on November 4th, yet the US media is finally saying that after 2 months of stating that it was Palestine who did it. I personally think it's pointless and pathetic. $1,000 per family-BIG DEAL! That is not helping us or the economy in any way. That barely pays my mortgage and homeowners insurance for one month. I'm not going on a vacation with it, or buying a big screen tv (my 32 inch tube tv is 12 years old), or buying new clothes. No, I'm just putting it in my checking account where it will get sucked right out because it's probably overdrawn anyway. I'm sick of the news media making a big deal about this stimulus thing. $1,000 is a pathetic amount of money. I'm not rich, I'm not even middle class, and I am not excited about or stupid enough to think that money is some kind of great thing. $1,000?! Obama and Bush might as well give me a roll of pennies! What's your opinion on the amount, and the news media acting like it's an awesome thing? Yes, of course I forgot to mention the fact that us tax payers are paying for our own stimulus money! We are not being given free money. All I have to say to the government is DUH! You're right. Talking about the bad economy on the news everyday isn't changing the fact that I don't have 2 pennies to rub together. My husband and I can help ourselves even if it takes a long time. I am more interested in helping people with more terrible problems like innocent people in war torn countries and missing and abused children. (more...)

Any president during war time is never popular. The economy may be failing, but if we weren't in the war that wouldn't be happening maybe, but a lot of worse things would be. he is fighting terrorism, and he was a good president. The liberal news media eats him just becuz they aren't republicans. I'm not saying he was as good as Regan, but he helping defeat terrorism with the same attitude Regan had at defeating communism.
