The Savonnerie workshops were set up in Paris by Pierre DuPont in 1628 with supervision of Henry IV. Savonnerie rugs were mainly woven for palaces by special orders. These designs produced under the direction of artists of the royal courts consisted of naturalistic floral motifs, coats of arms and heraldic devices and some architectural motifs. Many rugs echoed the elegant ceilings of the rooms for which they were commissioned. The greatest period for Savonnerie rugs was between 1650 and 1789. Their production was interrupted by the French Revolution, and finally in 1825, the Savonnerie workshops were moved to the Gobelins. In 1990s, all the production moved to China due to the high labour cost in France. View our full collections at www.18thcenturytapestries.com

Open Question: How can I make myself be happy for my two small boys?
I am 23 years old married with two small boys living with my mother-in-law. I moved far away from my whole family to help my husband fix his mother's house after his father died. My father had died 1 year earlier. We were only supposed to be here for 6 months but have been here over 1 year now and I have no friends, no car, and nothing to do besides take care of our children. (NOT easy..btw). I used to be such a smiley and happy person, but lately have been so depressed, My husband has gotten mean and obsessed with material things and rarely helps around then house. With no one to talk to and no help(his mother is NOT easy to get along with!) I'm not trying to complain but I just don't know how to be happy for my two little boys because they are so wonderful and deserve the best mommy in the world. How can I be the best mommy when I am soo sad? And no I am not one of those people who ever feels sorry for themselves, in fact..I can't stand that in a person. I used to be so strong.. (more...)

Open Question: SEX/GARTER BELT QUESTION!?
Hello. Well Valentine's Day is coming up and i just bought a corset with straps attached (garter belt?) and a thong. Of course I would wear the thong underneath the garter belt. I want to leave everything on (besides the thong) on during sex. How does one have sex while still wearing their garter belt? Move the undies to the side? I would hate removing everything then putting it back on because it would kill the mood. Girls, guys, how do you do it?! Oh, question two) my boyfriend and i are getting a room. I don't want to walk in and instantly have sex. We're probably going to have dinner+drinks in the room or maybe watch some tv. Should i walk around totally in lingerie. Or wear a skirt/dress over it and show a bit? Sorry if this is too detailed! Just want some good answers.=) Oh, I'm 20. And I want to wear the panties in the beginning (more...)
