Far From the Madding Crowd: Masterpiece Theatre

Based on Thomas Hardy's classic novel,
Far from the Madding Crowd is a turbulent tale of passion and destruction set in the 19th century.
Bathsheba Everdene (Paloma Baeza), a beautiful and proud woman with a fiercely independent spirit, ensnares--and almost destroys--three men. She rejects the proposal of the loyal and dependable Gavriel Oak (Nathaniel Parker), who takes a job on her farm because of an unfortunate twist of fate. He can only stand by and watch as Bathsheba mischievously flirts with her neighbor, Mr. Boldwood (Nigel Terry), unleashing a passionate obsession that burns deep within the reserved Gabriel. However, both men are eclipsed by the arrival of the dashing, womanizing soldier, Frank Troy (Jonathan Firth). Despite being in love with another woman, he sees a challenge in Bathsheba and sets out to win her.
Troy manages to tame the wild young woman, but their marriage is instantly doomed, and a dramatic chain of events are set in motion.

Moll Flanders (2pc) (Mobile Masterpiece Theatre)

This energetic, sardonic, and richly funny adaptation of Daniel Defoe's classic novel is completely unlike what you might expect from genteel
Masterpiece Theatre. The heroine, Moll Flanders (Alex Kingston), after being born in prison, wends her way through the top and bottom of 18th-century English society, has five husbands (including a roguish highwayman who becomes the love of her life), many lovers (male and female), travels to America and back again, and in general discovers all that is cruel and sweet in life. Kingston tears into her role with gleeful amorality and delicious charm, often turning to the camera with a seductive smile to ask, "What would you do?" This British miniseries is brilliantly written, skillfully directed, and superbly acted all around (with particularly delightful performances by Diana Rigg and Daniel Craig)--in short, among the best of its kind; both a cunning examination of social morés and a hugely entertaining story. Not to be missed.

Masterpiece Theatre - The Cazalets

Every summer the three Cazalet brothers--Rupert the idealistic young artist, Hugh the good-hearted businessman, and Edward the charming cad--return with their own families to their parents' country house. Based on Elizabeth Jane Howard's semi-autobiographical novel,
The Cazalets is an engrossing drama that chronicles the end of an era through the trials of one family.
It's 1937 and England is filled with rumors of war. Hugh and his father, William, are preparing the Cazalet lumber business for the possibility of a conflict with Germany, but the rest of the clan are preoccupied with their own problems. Rupert is reluctant to give up his art to work with his brothers, and Edward has begun an affair with a married woman, further complicating his already troubled relationship with his own wife and daughter. When war is declared, questions of duty and loyalty become even more important, and three generations of Cazalets have to deal with a host of personal and national challenges and tragedies.
Filmed with a wonderful sense of period detail, The Cazalets evokes a time when long-cherished ideas of class and privilege were crumbling. The large cast is excellent, with exceptional performances from Stephen Dillane and Florence Hoath. The Cazalets covers a period of more than four years, during which every member of the family is transformed by the war and by their relationships with one another. It's a tribute to this compelling film that even with a running time of six hours it seems to end too soon. --Simon Leake

Open Question: What are good comedy movies, not in theatres?
Open Question: I went to the Movies the Other Night...?
With my Boyfriend Jaquan. These girls from my school were being so loud in the movie Theatre. There Names are Laqwandra, Tamika, & Danisha. They brought things from home. Like Fried Chicken, Greens, and Hi-c. I know the theatre doesn't sell those types of food. Isn't it against policy to bring food from outside of the Theatre. Why were they being so loud, that's so rude, because other people are paying to watch the movie! I told them to quiet down. They got mad and threw chicken bones at me. Was it rude of me to ask to them to be quiet?

Open Question: Was I the only one who was disappointed with the Interview with the vampire movie ?
I remember back in1994,going to the movies to see this film.I was so excited that I was finally going to see my favorite horror novel come to life on the Big Screen. But after I watched it,I was so upset by how off the book it was.I mean with the scene with the two whores in the film they had it in such a way to make us feel sorry for them, but in the book, this scene was more comical, and even though the whore did sob in the novel her reason had almost entirely left her.And in The vampire Lestat,It was revealed that those two whores had been poisoning seamen and robbing their corpses, which clearly shows that they deserved their fate. And in the Theatre des vampires,in the book, the entire theatre was pitch black so the woman on stage had no way of knowing where she was, also the vampires had surrounded her in a full circle and when Santiago took off her top when she tried to cover up he grabbed her arms and held them at her side so she couldn't cover up.She had no chance. But in this film she seem downright idiotic. The stage was fully illuminated so that anyone with an idiots i.q could have reckonized it as a theatre. She could have called out to the audience "This is not an act, they're really trying to kill me"!Also they weren't surrounding her at all times and sometimes they weren't even paying attention to her.I wanted to scream at her "get off the stage you bi*ch"!There were even candle holders that had LIT candles in them that she could have used to defend herself. And when armand came and hugged her she tried to run away but he grabbed her hair, which she could have spun around and hit him in the eye and ran off,but she didn't and therefore I had zero sympathy for her.The acting was melodramatic, and I also hated the choice of actors for the characters,Brad Pitt looked like an ugly woman,And the rest just weren't right for the part.Who else feels the same way about this?

Open Question: Merlin Mobile Theatre V2 Trouble...Help!?
I have a Merlin Mobile theatre V2. Recently some problem turned up in that player . Whenever i transfer a movie or any file, the transfer hangs in between and the player hangs too. I have to manually remove the cable, switch it off, turn on back and then again try to put a file but again the same thing happens.
However sometimes a file gets transferred smoothly and then when i try to put a second filr or maybe a third file it hangs.
What could be the problem.... Is there any software for formatting this player....(I cant Right-click and format cause it spoiled one of my friend's Merlin player). Any solution to this or any site where i can get info on this???

Open Question: Kelly Rowland stole. What are the different stores in th video?
Here's the video and the lyrics:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYQiivAzfrU
He was always such a nice boy
The quiet one
With good intentions
He was down for his brother
Respectful to his mother
A good boy
But good dont get attention
One kid with a promise
The brightest kid in school
Hes not a fool
Reading books about science and smart stuff
Its not enough, no
Cause smart dont make you cool, whoa
Hes not invisible anymore
With his fathers 9 and a broken fuse
Since he walked through that classroom door
Hes all over primetime news
Marys got the same size hands
As marilyn monroe
She put her fingers in the imprints
At manns chinese theatre show
She coulda been a movie star
Never got the chance to go that far
Her life was stole
Now well never know
No no no no oh
They were crying to the camera
Said he never fitted in
He wasnt welcomed
He showed up to the parties
We was hanging in
Some guys puttin him down
Bullying him round round
Now I wish I woulda talked to him
Gave him the time of day
Not turn away
If I woulda been the one to maybe go this far
He might have stayed at home
Playing angry chords on his guitar
Hes not invisible anymore
With his baggy pants and his legs in chains
Since he walked through that classroom door
Everybody knows his name
Marys got the same size hands (oh)
As marilyn monroe
She put her fingers in the imprints (ooh)
At manns chinese theatre show
She coulda been a movie star
Never got the chance to go that far
Her life was stole
Now well never know
(now well never know, oh)
Greg was always getting net from 20 feet away (20 feet away)
He had a tryout with the sixers
Couldnt wait for saturday (saturday)
Now were never gonna see him slam
Flying high as kobe can
His life was stole (stole)
Oh now well never know
Now well never never never know
Mmm now well never never never never know
Stole (stole)
Oh whoa yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Marys got the same size hands (same size hands)
As marilyn monroe(oh)
She put her fingers in the imprints

Never got the chance to go that far (never got the chance)
Her life was stole (stole, stole)
Oh now well never know

We were here all together yesterday
