There are two English Davises, both conductors: Colin and Andrew--no relation. Colin recorded a landmark Messiah which is still available on Philips at budget price. This one is another matter entirely. Andrew Davis certainly knows this music, and he hits the big moments with gusto. But Messiah is more than big moments, and despite an excellent cast of soloists, there's too little involvement with the music (especially from Kathleen Battle) in the arias and more intimate moments to make this a clear recommendation. The Weird Al Show - The Complete Series
Those who remember Spike & Mike's Sick and Twisted festivals might also recall that the creators of No Neck Joe, Peyton Reed and Keith Alcorn, were simultaneously dosing The Weird Al Show with a similar bizarre humor. Not until one revisits this freakish TV series does one realize how "Weird" Al Yankovic really was. Like Jerry Lee Lewis, he perfected the art of being corny, with his frizzy, long hair, gaudy Hawaiian shirts, and nerdy voice. Known mostly as a musician who spoofed radio hits, Weird Al's show placed Yankovic in stand-up situations, albeit scripted, involving props like x-ray spray or an electric toenail-cutting machine. Each episode was thematically established for kids, with lessons like, "Be Yourself," "Don't Make Promises You Can't Keep," and "Settle Conflicts with Peaceful Communication," setting Al up for comedic failure. Watching a grown man turn infantile harkens back to Pee Wee's Playhouse, as do The Weird Al Show's colorful, kitschy sets. In "One For the Books," Al accidentally microwaves his best friend, Harvey the Wonder Hamster, turning Harvey into a "grotesque radioactive mutant." When Harvey gets into the Guinness Book of World Records for Largest Rodent and gains several groupies, Al gets jealous and begins searching, in vain, for his own records to break. Al learns that it isn't record-breaking that counts, but the effort that goes into a given task. Each of the 13 episodes showcase classic Weird Al, at best when he sinks into his Skull Chair to watch self-invented commercials on TV, like one for Pirate Roofers, or for a barber who gives terrible haircuts. Random guest-appearances, like those from John Tesh and Alex Trebek, add mystery, and the commentaries by Al & cast are authentically entertaining. Open Question: I need some help with my class.?
Ok so im taking music grade 10. I can play really well (i play the flute) my performance mark is a 98.5% but i have great difficulty with the theory like we had a test right before christmas and i bombed it just like the rest. My teachers kind of insane like he's really nice but he gets annoyed when you don't understand the stuff he's teaching my mark right now in the class is a 78% and that is horrible for me considering my mark last year in grade 9 was a 98.5% at the end of the semester. We have the exam in 2 weeks how i am supposed to write the exam if i don't even understand the theory??? Like my teacher he doesn't like working during lunch so i couldn't ask him to help me and after school and before is not an option and it's to late to get a tutor! What am i supposed to do??

Open Question: 32 and never dated, is it to late?
Hi everyone.
I've been really really depressed lately. I'm 32 now and I have this problem called never having a girlfriend and still being a virgin and loosing every friend I ever thought I had as a result of it.
I feel so jelous and pissed off every time I go out and see young couples smooching and holding hands! Or yet some high school punk in his beat up honda with a coffee can muffler cruising around with some hot girl! I just want to yank his *** up and beat the **** out of him and say what makes you better then me! I know that's the wrong additude to have but 20 years of being told that your not good looking enough to be boyfriend material has broken my give a damm!!!! From middle school thru high school to co workers, to friends, friends of friends, to blind dates to online dating so on and so forth for over the past 15 years I always got the same rejection over my looks. I've always thrived to be a good person and treat others as I would like to be treated. I've always offered my complete and total friendship to anyone that needs or wants it, and it has all back fired on me. I can't get thru a day without wondering how my life would be today if I had meet someone 10 or 15 years ago. And I can't lay to rest thoughts of the good times and sweet memories I should have of my youth with someone special that isn't there but only the memories of how I was always told I wasn't cute, good looking, or attractive enough! But every pretty boy Tom Dick and Harry treated them like **** and they loved them just because they was pretty boys!!!! It's hard for me to even look at the guy in the mirror every morning knowing that I've never even been accepted to go on one single date, never been kissed, never had a warm hug and hearing words like I love you. NOTHING!
The differance from me and people that wants to kill themselves is that most people have to try to think of ligit reasons to do it. I have to try and think of one reason not to. People I used to consider friends have nothing to do with me anymore because of this and how I don't get ***** everyday like they do. I've been called every name in the book and a new book started. Gay, queer, even pedofile because I've always had a warm spot for kids and used to dream of the day I became a father and the fact that I've never had a women in my life people judged me totaly wrong. Two summers ago I was living in Nashville Tn where I was training to be a railroad engineer. At the same time I was working on one of my car restorations of a 1987 Trans Am. I had just got the paint and graphic work done and was going to drive it back to my home town of Kingsport to let everyone see it. I called up Brian and Mike that was old high school friends and told them I was comming in. They made plans to meet me at circuit city. They made big jokes of my black and gold TA with the big eagle on the hood and ask who are you suposed to be Burt Reynolds? I just laughed about that but I didn't know they had set me up to get me in the store and away from my car so they could have there way with it. They knew how much time, work, and money I had in this thing and what it ment to me and the paint job wasn't a week old. They took red spray paint and painted the words *** boy, queer, and painted a big dick over the bird on the hood. They recorded the whole time on cam making slurs about me and what a looser I am being a virgin and never had a GF! When I came out and seen my car I feel to my knees and threw up right there in the parking lot, I was so weak at the knees I could not stand! I've since lost all faith in people and the future. I feel I'm already dead it's just my body still walks around empty with no sole.
Just to answer some questions, I'm not fat I still weigh 147 as I did when I graduated high school. I've always been active and come from a slinder family. I'm 5 foot 10 blue eyes and light brownish hair kinda like Tom Cruise's style. As for ways I've tryed to be the cool cat thru the years, I studied music, voice and guitar thru my early teens and was lead guitarist in a rock band in high school. Took 4 years auto machanics and got into restoring classic muscle cars all thru my 20s as I still some what do. I built a 1972 plymouth duster that I used to drag race and won placks and trophies with before it was stolen in spring 2004 and found striped out 3 months latter in Virgina. Total loss there. I've since went back to college and am now an engineer for CSX railroad.
Would you say my window of opportunity has long since shut at this point of my life????
And could someone please tell me where I went wrong and what I have done to deserve this????

Open Question: I'm putting it out there again -- Do I tell him I love him?
I only got one answer last time, so I'm trying again....I met and began a relationship with "B" last February. At the time he was married, but it was over and they were in different bedrooms. In April he told me in the heat of the moment that he loved me and asked if I loved him. I told him I loved being with him. I had just gotten out of a relationship where I had said "I love you" too soon, and I wasn't ready for the commitment. We had an incredible night that night, but it kind of ended our relationship and it looked like he and his wife were getting back together and I dated someone else for a while. "B" and I remained friends and hang out 2-4 times a week. We have resumed a closer relationship, including great talks and kissing. He and his wife are separated again and I know she is seeing at least one other person. I have done little things to let him know I care, liking cooking for him, buying him a t-shirt that reminded me of him. If we go out he always pays for my drinks. We also went out one night and I had some pictures on my digital camera of us together, hugging like, and he wanted hard copies of the pictures and so I gave them to him. This past New Years though he didn't make plans and so I made plans with a female friend to join her at a country bar. I don't really like country music, nor does "B", and so when he found out he was confused on why I was going and acted like he wanted me to be with him, but didn't come out and say it. I ended up bored at the country bar and joined him at the bar he said he was going alone. It ended up great and we kissed at midnight and went outside to watch some fireworks and kissed again and we parted after midnight and kissed again and he said, "Happy New Year Baby". I do love him now and I am ready to say it. Should I just say it?

Open Question: Gift idea for 17 year old who loves penguins =]?
My best friend is going to turn 17 next week and I'm wondering what I could get her. My feelings for her are beyond friendship and I want to show that indirectly. I'm making a cd with her favourite music but I'd also like to get her something else.
She loves cute stuff, mainly penguins. I'm thinking of getting a soft toy of a penguin, but are there any other things I could get with a penguin theme?

Open Question: Help!! Can you give me some good advice to leave this sucka for good?
Ok i'm having some major problems, my ex is a total loser and father to my 5 month old, i'm starting to feel really insecure about myself,,,here's is the very brief story---we have been together for 3 years ( i left my hometown and life to be with him in a another state)and in the last year and half, it's been rocky.....well after i had my baby, it got worst, he felt like i was not putting him first anymore, he felt neglected, i felt like i couldn't help it cuz i just had a baby and she was very needy and colicky, well as a result, he started talking to other girls, including his ex(his first love) on the phone i brought him and pay every month, he started to rekindle all the feelings( sexual) he had for her over the phone and by text( i saw the text and heard his convo), then he got arrested for soliciting a prostitute, and he recently moved out of our apartment like 3 weeks ago cuz he started ******* some chick that he works with...unbelievable right?....i'm trying to move back home with my baby, cuz i do not have any support system here or family or friends....i'm starting to lose my confidence in myself, he's been mean to me and at the same time sending me text messages about how he thinks i'm beautiful but at the same time saying i did not respect him or his wishes or opinions, also he smokes pot..and he's like 7 yrs younger than me...what's really pissing me off is that he comes by to the apartment anytime he wants without calling, most of the times without me being there, so he can use my computer to download music and find a job, sporting a huge hickie on his neck from the new girl..i'm devastated and lonely and feel helpless, he's so arrogant, he told me the other day, he decided to give me a baby, like i'm some type of dog or something......i just need some more encouragement to leave this *****.

Open Question: is this a haunting or am i going nuts?
ok now i may come off as crazy (my family even thinks i am nuts and every now and Again make fun of me) eny wais back to the question ok 2 years ago i seen a white women that stood over me just watching me while i was in my room my parents said ur just seeing thinks (my ass) so about half a year ago i started seen shadows zipping across the room and at night i heard this really really eery violion music and sorta soft creepy singing i could make out the voices perty cleary and i started hearing my name called in a soft wisper then after a while it got into a loud scream my family agian thinks i am nuts eny wais i have givin up on convining them i just want to know if this is a haunting i know i turned off my kitchen light becuase i remeber flickin the swich then 10 seconds later i am sittin on my love seat and boom the light after that i started hearing this tssk sound and right after it id see a sorta agressive black object standing infront or to the side of me looked like a little girl but idk i nerly had a hartattack when i was walking into the living room after grabing a pop i turn around and see this sorta orange eyes pinheaded guy standing there freeked me the fuck out yes i did p a lil but who fuckin after that nothin happend for about a week then i heard that dreaded tssk sound agien i turnd around and didnt see the black object so i thot to myself yay bad timimg because right as i did this black object swooped down and disssaperd into the living room my friend swares this place is haunted to we bolth heard a aaaHHaaahaaa sorta muslim or islam or whatever music comin from the basment eny wais as stupid as this may sound i am still not sure if the place is haunted or if i am truly goin nuts i feel stupid even postin this question because i know u all will think i am nuts to lol but whatever also has enyone seen like sorta a laser pointer dot sota hovering around there roof???? because that is really bothering the fuck outa me

Open Question: lily allen has to be out of her coke head right?
Coke kills the user... the heart can't handle it after a few months. A 25 yr old using coke 3 nights a week for 1 year will have the heart of a 60yr old. It fuels aggression, mood flips, depression and kills family life. It is an evil drug with no merit at all... and yet it is a part of UK social life, lawyers use it, the music and ent industry is driven by it...

Open Question: I have had to redo my iTunes a few times due to PC Crashes and I have a 80gb Classic iPod that this last week.?
Used uts 5 0f 5 Registers on my PC well guess what my PC crashed again 2 days ago and now my iPod wont connect to my iTunes, how can I get around this or still sync my music to my iPod any help is aprieciated.

Open Question: my computer doesn't detect there is a cd inside?
okay, so my computer crashed a two weeks ago, and i got the system reinstalled. i had a lot of files and viruses on my computer, so it's logical that it crashed. now, after reinstalling it, it works better, and faster. except, when i try to install a game on my computer, e.g. sims or gta, that i tried to install, the computer doesn't even detect there's a cd inside. when i open my cd/dvd rom, it shows like there is no cd inside the computer. but i can watch movies and listen to music, it detects that. can anyone help me? i don't know what to do.
yeah, it plays movies. i'll try doing that.
yes, i can see cd rom when i go to my computer.
