Open Question: How much does commercial vehicle insurance cost with Geico?
I'm in the Business Professionals of America club and myself along with three other club members are participating in the Small Business Management competition. The scenario is that we have to start and manage a limousine business in Denver, Colorado (we live in houston, texas). We are trying to go all the way with this and so details are very crucial. One of them is commercial insurance. I have tried contacting Geico for insurance quotes, but they want me to give out information that I simply don't feel comfortable distributing since the business is artificial and I am not of age. Can any one give me an estimate or direct me to one? Here's the information: - Four vehicles: 2 regular SUV's, 1 regular stretch limousine & 1 Hummer limousine -The location is 80202 (Downtown Denver, Colorado) *If you have any other information whether it's a recommendation to another insurance company or whatever that WILL be much appreciated. Thanks! (more...)

Open Question: What do yall think of the NEW 360° deals that these RAPPERS have to take to get record deals?
Record Company will not only control and profit from the sale of the artist's recordings and related products, but will also participate to a greater or lesser degree in the Artist's non-record income streams (e.g., touring income, merchandise sales, endorsements, songwriting, publishing, etc.). The label's non-record income participation in the more modest type of deal is usually relatively small. The Label simply gets an override percentage from all artist income streams Time out for the fun and games for a min., just trying slide in a little knowlegde for those listen, this is the deal SouljaBoy, thats why you see the cartoons and merchandising, they taking his money, Most beginning Artists will have no real strength when it comes to this type of deal. The Label will have all the negotiating power. The Label has the money and is taking the biggest risk -- and can therefore pretty well have its way with the new artists. But there is really nothing new about that is there now? (more...)

Play Sudoku, Play & Watch Sports, Reading, Playing Tennis, Swimming Also i was elected aws Chief financioal officer of my class and i am currently running for president for Deca First, I have overcome more learning challenges compared to the average student. For example, during my freshman year of high school I was assigned to attend a learning center class three days a week because teachers determined that extra help with my homework and test-taking skills would be a benefit to me. By the end of my freshman year, however, a reevaluation revealed that I no longer required extra assistance. My diligence and sustained efforts to adopt the learning center?s problem solving strategies were successful and provided me with the valuable tools necessary to apply towards my studies. This just proves that when I encounter any difficult tasks, my hard work and determination will help me achieve concrete results. Second, during my junior year, I faced certain medical challenges that impacted my academic life and temporarily deterred me from maximizing my potential both as a student and as an athlete. In October of 2007, my cardiologist advised me to cease all physical activity until further notice because I had an abnormally enlarged heart and was diagnosed with pre-hypertension. As a result, I was not able to complete the cross-country season and was restricted to homebound activities. This was a difficult time for me. Nonetheless, my resilience and optimism helped me maintain a positive outlook about my condition. For example, I focused my energy on other things including schoolwork and improving my second quarter grades. In March, my doctor gave the clearance allowing me to once again participate in physical activity. Despite having only a short amount of time to prepare for my cross-country season, I was able to improve my running times?a feat that I achieved exclusively through dedication and determination since I was committed to putting in extra time at the track to get myself back into shape. Although during my junior year I was dealing with the added stress placed on me by my unexpected medical crises, I remained hopeful and was able to stay focused towards my academic goals. After being cleared to run, I pursued my running goals with the same vigor as I demonstrated in the classroom. My secrets to overcoming any challenge, whether it was big or small, have been my focus, commitment and hard work. I sent Northeastern an email and ask them about the interview and they said that they dont do interviews but if you come for a visit you can talk to an admissions counselor. Would that be a good idea in my situation. This is what i plan on doing. I know im writing alot but i want advice because i feel that i am a viable candiate for Northeastern. I plan on going to visit northeastern to get to talk to the admissions counselor, i plan on writing a letter which i'll let you guys see it later, im tryin my best in school to get above a 91 from my first quarter grade senior year, i want to send them an email with my new accomplishments. Currently i want to major in accounting and i was selected as the chief financial officer of a student run business and i plan on applying as a position such as vice president or treasurer for a decca position. If i am able to do these things i feel that i would have an advantage. Should i be thinking this? (more...)

Open Question: Business morals, fair or not?
I deal with the government alot. I provide goods for a governmental agency. Ofcourse before I provide these goods I have to compete with other suppliers in a quote in which I have to provide the least bid. I live in a third world country and things are a little bit loose over there. I can try to find out the prices included in other people's bids, but I never do that. However, I was wondering if you think it is moral to just try to know the other people who are participating in the quote with me? I did my homework. I studied the market very well, and I can know the price of each bid if I just know the identity of the other companies bidding against me. So, my question is: Is it moral if I go and ask about the names of the other companies who will bid against me? Thanks. (more...)
