Images in Weather Forecasting: A Practical Guide for Interpreting Satellite and Radar Imagery

This manual presents the meteorology student and operational forecaster with the current techniques for interpreting satellite and radar images of weather systems in mid-latitudes. The focus of the book is the large number of illustrations. Images are matched with conceptual models and weather charts. Written in an image-led mode, rather than in the style of a standard textbook on meteorology, the presentation allows the user to identify and interpret patterns on the images as easily and quickly as possible. Patterns observed in satellite and radar images have been explained in terms of basic archetypal airflows. Examples are presented showing variations on the basic archetypes for many regions. Material for the book has been provided by experts from North America and Europe, and reviewed by people from universities, training establishments of meteorological services and operational forecasters.

Voting Question: [PS3] Oblivion: Getting rid of 'Infamy'?
I have tried to be careful not to rack up infamy so that I could equip the holy weapon/gear. I must have accidentally looted something or hit someone I wasn't supposed to during a skirmish. Bear in mind that I have already done the pilgrimage once, and have already reduced my infamy to '0'. Regardless, I now have 2 points of infamy. Not much, compared to my assassin character.
When I try to equip the holy gear now, it slides right off. It says for me to do the pilgrimage all over again and repent, blah, blah blah.
So I decide to make the pilgrimage all over again, which is quite painful, because they don't show up on your map or your radar. I was pessimistic about it, as there wasn't any journal update or any noticeable triggers. As I rounded up the ninth prayer altar, low and behold--nothing.
So am I stuck with 2 infamy? I've been racking up fame, but it doesn't seem to be offsetting infamy.

Resolved Question: Have you ever been told this by a cop?
First off, I realize this was my fault, but I simply want to know if anyone else has been told this?
I'll start off with saying I am from Illinois, and probably like most other states, IL states that your windshield has to be obstruction free. Okay, that's fine. I understand that. But I guess it never occured to me about the GPS Systems that have the suction cup you stick to your windshield, type in a destination, and go. When you purchase one, a booklet tells you placements on windshelds that are best.. okay.. so when I had a state cop write me up a warning for having it in my window.. and all 3 of us in the car REPEATEDLY asked him where he would like us to place it instead.. it went badly. He kept pointing down by our knees. What?! Seriously? What is it suppose to stick to, for one? And THEN, he proceeded to say well the cord cant be across the dash, either. he said IL state law says the area below the rear view mirror and above the dashboard line must be kept clear. He said an option would be to put the GPS device way over in the corner of the window but that the cord cannot be draped over your lap or steering column.. so there's no way to get the stupid cord over there haha and it'd STILL be in the window! I don't get why he said to put it there if he's still saying stick it in the window. He made it very clear when he wrote me the warning that the windshield has to be kept clear. I don't get why he suggested sticking it on the side? But anyway. My friend asked him if he'd simply like it placed in a cup holder since he kept pointing to have it low (like knee level) and he said "No, you're not suppose to take your eyes off the road." Oh, come on now! I realize this but he was contradicting himself and confusing us and he was being a jerk in the process. We asked him to place it where he'd like it and he refused. My fiance at the time was also a cop and when I asked him, he said that was retarded since you're suppose to place them in your window, yet it's still illegal. The cop that wrote me up also saw my radar detector, which I hadn't been using, and he said that it is not illegal to use in the state, yet it cannot be in the window either. Did I just get stuck dealing with a jerk of a state cop?! I'm just confused.. I use it on a long cross country trip, as well as when I am away at college in Alaska, and even when being stuck in a random seat belt check in the state of Tennessee, the cop saw my GPS unit in the window and he even helped show me a different direction on the map. He didn't care that it was in the window. I'm not going to go research Tennessee's policy of what can be in your windshield or not, but has anyone else been told this by a cop?? I see people driving all the time with these devices stuck to their window. If you use them, where do you place them when in use?? I would have been way more angry had he given me a ticket, but I still don't know where to put it. I have a 2007 G5, I'll just put it in my cup holder (the suction cup part fits perfectly) from now on anyway and listen to it instead of really looking at it. But really, what do you do with them?

Resolved Question: Where is Little Jacob in Grand Theft Auto 4 (GTA4)?
I've just started playing GTA4 on the PS3. I have done some work for Little Jacob, then did some other stuff. Then I phoned him, and he said to come round, but he doesn't show up on my map/radar and I can't seem to do any more missions for Vlad or Roman.
Is there a glitch in my game or do I just need to know where Little Jacob is?
Thanks
As I said, there isn't an L on the map, hence the problem...

Resolved Question: Should I finish this story?
This is a just another post of the story i posted before, except this one is all that i have written so far. As mentioned before I accept all criticism good or bad, don't bug me :). If anything is off let me know so i can edit to make it better.
It never gets old. Walking into a new school. Staring, whispering, pointing, it?s all the same. In a school of 500 or 2000, it doesn?t matter. Trust me I?ve done it a dozen times, and will until I age enough to pass for 20. Who knows how long that will take, I have waited almost 60 years to pass for eighteen.
My new home is a small town of 10000 named Lionea. My life since I was eight has been constant moving, from town to town. I live by myself and have for 55 years. My parents were killed back in 1953, they were protecting me. I chose this town hoping that I could slide in under the radar and pass the year by being a lone wolf, but by the looks of the school already the only thing that will be true in that statement is the wolf part.
I walked down the hall to the main office; I caught on to some of the whispers. Hey, I can?t help it if my hearing is 20 times better than a normal person?s. The whispers too were no different than any other school either, ?who is that?? ?she?s hot? ?I have never seen her before?. You have to love teenage males, they always have the best thoughts.
I have never tired hard to keep friendships let alone a real relationship. I?ve had my fair share of what people call crushes, don?t get me wrong but I will never risk putting myself in danger or another person because of what I am. Not ever again. But that is a whole other chapter of my life.
My trek to the main office was too long for my liking but I made it in one piece. The office was like any other school, maybe a little less funded, but still the same basic layout. A long counter with computers, desks and chairs behind it.
?May I help you?? a small cheery woman asked from behind the desk as I entered.
?I?m new here, my name is Tiffany, Tiffany Conner,? I replied handing her my paper work.
?Alright dear, give me a minute to pull up your file,? she responded, once again in a cheery voice.
It took her a minute or two to get all the paper work entered into the computer and another couple to print out my schedule, parking tag and find a school map. I have always been patient; it comes with the lifestyle, so it didn?t bother me to wait.
When she returned to the counter she handed me all the things I needed and explained everything. She took some time to highlight my classes and the quickest routes to them, which I was thankful for. The less time I spend in the halls the better. Then she went over my parking tag and locker information, and sent me on my way.
Without looking back I turned and walked out of the office doors. The halls were dead now, except the last few people taking their time getting to class. I walked by a group around a locker and something hit me, they were staring at me, watching me while I walked. Normally the stares don?t bother me, they are just annoying but these stares were different. Yeah there was the normal curiousity but there was something else too. I just couldn?t put my finger on it and to tell the truth it irked me. I?m not trying to brag but I am normally very smart and quick to pick up on things. I took another short glance as I walked into my classroom. I could have sworn that one of them winked at me, pigs.
The class was noisy still when I walked in making me a little more comfortable. No matter how many times you start a new school your biggest fear is to walk into a noisy class and having it go silent. Trust me nothing is more awkward and uncomfortable. The odd person turned to stare but I zoned it out and headed toward the teachers desk. He was an older man, balding, kind smile and a big belly, but a nice guy all together.
He called the class to order and did the whole announcement of the new girl. Yeah, I?ve done that too, many times. Then he pointed me to a seat connected to another empty desk which I was grateful for. People stared, smiled and introduced themselves and I smiled and added comments when necessary. I may come off blunt and easily annoyed in my head but truth be told I?m not. Being around people as long as I have I know that it is just their nature and I don?t mind it. Actually I find all the different reactions amusing. It probably sounds cheesy but a new school is like one of those boxes of candy hearts, you never really know what you will find. My life has been spent studying people so I can judge reactions and body language really well. The reason
I do that is so that I can judge how long it?s safe for me to stay in one place and when I should run for cover.
A few minutes after I had gotten settled into my seat my g
