I'm having an outdoor wedding on my Uncle's ranch in Texas near San Marcos in late April to Early May. My colors will be bluebonnet blue and white with a hint of red. My wedding site has very large oak trees around it and a river on one side, however it is mostly hidden by trees. My reception is taking place in a civil war-era mansion that has a large hallway running all the way through the first floor of the house from front door to back door. Both the front and back doors are french doors that lead out onto covered patio/porches. The hallway ends at a large stone floored and walled living room which has the french doors in it and has it's left hand wall covered in shelving. There is a fireplace on the other wall. I'm thinking about doing a sunset wedding... or a little sooner, to capture the beautiful Texas sunsets, therefore the reception will be at night and I'm probably going to use candles for a lot of the lighting. Any ideas on how to decorate this reception and wedding rustic but elegant? I'm looking for unique and tried and true ideas... I wish I had pictures but do your best with what I described :). I am closing on my house in a few days and just would like to know about how much it is going to cost to upgrade the outlets that are not grounded (bedrooms and living room). The kitchen and bathroom already have grounded and GFCI outlets. If I was to guess I would say I am looking at 8-10 outlets I need to get switched over. The house is a ranch style so all the outlets are on the 1st floor. I will be using a company to do it and I would just like to know a rough estimate so I have the money put aside. I would call but they usually want to come to the house to give an estimate and since I am not moved in yet I can't do that. For some added info: I believe the house was built around 1956 It has a newer electrical panel No it is not an "easy fix". It will require running a new (grounded) wire to each of the outlets. Just installing a 3 prong outlet doesn't mean it is grounded. Also if you do it yourself and don't follow code and your house burns down, have fun trying to collect insurance money if they discover that is the cause. I have read about doing the update if it had metal boxes, but that is not necessarily a reliable gound. (more...)

I want to be either a Psychotherapist and work at a hospital Psychiatric Care Unit in either Colorado (near the Boulder area) or anywhere in Connecticut, or a Hair stylist and work in either of those same locations. Nearly all of the characters, including George, Lennie, Candy, Crooks, and Curley's wife, admit, at one time or another, to having a profound sense of loneliness and isolation. Curley?s wife seeks attention from the other guy?s on the ranch as her own husband doesn?t pay her any. I think Lennie is also lonely, because no-one apart from George can understand his ways. Crooks is definitely another lonely character on the ranch, as the other guys isolate him because of the colour of his skin. The first character I am going to comment on is Crooks, i think Crooks has suffered from loneliness a lot, as he is treated differently to everyone else, due to the colour of his skin. Being the only black guy on the ranch I think Crooks has found it hard to relate to everyone else. I think Crooks has become mean to others and prefers his own company. The line that gave me this impression is; ?Crooks said sharply, ?You got no right to come into my room. This here?s my room. Nobody got any right in here but me.? ? For me this shows that crooks has become cold, probably due to the fact that he has been isolated because of the colour of his skin, and as the other guys have been mean to him, he now feels the need to be mean to everyone and does not want to open up about himself with others as they have secluded him. Candy also suffers from seclusion due to being one of ?the weak ones? according to Curley?s wife. As Candy is old and can?t work as well as he once did, he feels cut off from the other guys as they are all capable of working on the ranch, whereas he can only do light jobs. However for a brief time, the dream of living out his days with George and Lennie on their own ranch distracts him from the harsh reality that is his life on the ranch. This quote shows how determined candy is to pursue that dream, even though crooks is trying to put them off it; ? ?Me an? Lennie an? George. We gonna have a room to ourselves. We?re gonna have a dog an? rabbits an? chickens. We?re gonna have green corn an? maybe a cow or a goat.? ? I think this quote shows how lonely candy is, as he is trying to block out his life with these dreams, although I think he realises how unlikely it is. (more...)

alright this is going to be long....... i moved to a new house around the city of brampton and i was living in a partment before. i am a exploring type of person and when i was exploring around my neighbourhood i saw a road with no houses on the sides it looked like the country side of brampton so i went riding my bike around the area i saw farms/ranches little ones and then when i went around another town forgot the name i saw a farm with horses. these horses wont come up to me when i clicked with my tongue they seemed afraid once the owner of the ranch came they stared me down in their car which freaked me out and looked like they were gonna shoot me. they didnt by the way/ any who i wouldnt leave because the horses didnt seem happy to be living their they seemed like they were abused their were three two bays one chestnut they didnt seem skinny much they seemed healthy acording to weight but they werent clean they had cuts scares and when the owner came throught the gate to see them they were backing off and were scared of that person and the owner had more horses aroung the back of the barn and they were skinny abused and with cuts. THATS MY FIRST STORY NOW MY SECOND ONE.\ i am actually supposed to tell you this one first instead of keeping on going staright i turned the next day i turned ...*cough* these horses in a pasture were private horses they are owned by meadowlark stables i am really starting to get close with these horses one horse a palimino is the only horse that really comes to me each day they are getting more and more closer to me. im feeling like meadowlark isnt doing anytrhing but just giving them food and water in the pasture they are all dirty and look like they havnt been aroud humans i dont think they even exercise them yes i know its not my problem but it bothers me and i need to know if they care for those horses in the pasture... i need your advice on what i should do to save these horses (more...)
