Resolved Question: Do you remember the 1985 movie, "To Live and Die in LA"?
If you do, now please answer my question!
Do you think that the movie's ending would have been better if the counterfeiter, William Dafoe, had simply escaped after the final shootout in the locker room, and William Peterson's partner had then resolved to revenge him?
I like this ending much better. It would fit the general mood of the movie better than the actual one used, I think.
It would have ended the movie almost as it had begun, but more neatly, with only a change of faces.
Hmm...in regards to the third answerer, the way I would have preferred it would still have had Peterson die, so I don't understand your objection regarding Peterson.
The third answerer was probably right as to the reason why the counterfeiter (played by Dafoe) had to die.
As to the second answerer...I would like to see a remake with William Peterson getting killed at the beginning! He could play the older cop just two days short of retirement...
Seriously, I don't think that there is enough left for a sequel. I think you mean a remake...but they tend to be disapointments.
Best to begin again with a new subject.
The reason why I would like the counfeiter to live is that it would underline how the "hero's" resolution to get him and not caring about how he did it is a sure recipe for non-progress. It reminds me of the USA's errors after 9/11.

Resolved Question: What is the name of that celebrity that killed his wife?
He is a celebrity of sorts but I dont know if he was an actor or anything before the trial because I am fairly young and only know of him because of the trials. He was on trial for killing his wife and I believe the case was just resolved maybe six months ago? He is probably late fifties and I want to say there was some controversy because he went to dinner with his wife right before she was killed? I am not thinking of Scott Peterson or OJ but I can't think of his name...
