Treasure Planet
Treasure Planet Not exactly the most seamless adaptation ever attempted, this animated version of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic swashbuckler (now set in outer space, even if the "ships" appear inexplicably unchanged since the 18th century) at least benefited from Disney's always high production standards. Those factors also insure that James Newton Howard's orchestral score is serviceably effervescent and retro enough for the film's storytelling gambit--if still a long way from the heights of Korngold's triumphant, genre-defining music for The Sea Hawk and other Errol Flynn swashbucklers; call it Captain Blood-lite. The studio's marketing-driven desire to have it both ways has also awkwardly sandwiched in a couple otherwise pleasant John Rzeznik-penned modern rock tracks, "I'm Still Here," performed by the Goo Goo Dolls singer himself, and BBMak's slightly funkier take of "Always Know Where You Are." --Jerry McCulley

Going to make a movie with photos that has a big surprise at the end, need some help with a movie score that has building music up to a big crescendo. Resolved Question: If I quit Banjo Kazooie XBL Arcade after I've collected all Stop'n'Swop Items, do I lose them or keep them?
So I've just went around and collected all the Banjo Kazooie - Xbox Live Arcade Stop'n'Swop items. As you know, when you enter the code on the Treasure Trove Cove letter floor in the sandcastle, it says are you sure you want to continue because if you use this cheat you won't be able to save your game or post your score on the leaderboards. When orchestras do classical scores for films, when do the compose the work in relation to film? Basically, trying to find out of when a movie has a musical score specifically made for it (ike Jurassic Park, National Treasure, Willow, Master and Commander --- ANY bloody movie that has it's own classical soundtrack basically)? Does the orchestra and composer sit thtere and watch the film after it's in its final stages and then try to sync up musical timing with events in the film? A lot of the classical soundtrack plays in EXTREMELY well with the highs and lows and high action and slow points and even falling and rising action of the plot of good films so trying to find out how it syncs up so well. Does the composer talk with the director and the director tells him how long each segment should be?? How much of the composition is improvised? The only method that makes sense is the compose the pre-written music while viewing the film to sync up with the events. is that true? How's it work? Thanks. (more...)

Resolved Question: Is the Wii as hard to come by this year, as it was last year?
I know I saw tons of them in stores all summer long, but I have one so I never thought to pick up an extra. Now I'm told by my sister, just last night...22 days before Xmas, that she wants to get her kids a Wii. I haven't been to the stores yet so I'm not sure of the situation but I do know Futureshop is sold out. Are we in for a treasure hunt? I do know how to go about treasure hunting, as I did this last year for my own kids, finally scoring a console in January, so I don't need tips....would just like to have an idea how much effort this will take, lol. Well, I'm a senior in high school with a 3.9 unweighted GPA and I eally wish on attending Georgetown but I'm so afraid of rejection. I have taken the ONLY AP class my school has to offer, though i'm taking 2 more online AP classes before I graduate. I have over 400 hours of community service, was the VP my soph year, President of FBLA, and Secretary and treasure of multiple other clubs. What type of life does a las vegas stripper live outside dancing. Everytime I go to vegas, I see girls at scores, treasures, sapphires making bank at the club. Morfe money than I ever will make working a job. Sometimes I wonder if these girls are special girls that dance and are out of the oridnary ? After leaving the club, where do they go ? What type of life do they have ? Are they happy, addicted to drugs, married, single, in rehab, or just normal people working a job...someone comment on the realities of a strippers life ? (more...)

Resolved Question: What is the best SUNY for me to transfer into?
Hey all, I currently attend SUNY WCC and need to transfer after I graduate with my A.A. degree. I want to get certified to become a personal fitness trainer so I can have as a side job. The main question I am asking is, what "business" or "fitness" related majors should I look for? Should I expand my horizon and not just look at other SUNY school but out of state colleges and universities? Is it worth it? I feel that everything I need right now is already here in New York. I have a 3.7 average and 22 credits so far. I've been in the music, italian club, and I am the secretary of treasure for the italian club. I have been getting scholarships. When I transfer I want a strong background because my SAT scores were poor. The sooner I decide which college I transfer to the better. I'm starting my 3rd semester. Please feel free to comment. Resolved Question: What happened to those male child who lack of father's love?
Before you start reading this question I would like to thank you for spending your precious time reading my long question and sorry for any grammar. Btw, I'm a Singaporean Chinese. I'm a gay guy and I was wondering can the lack of present of a father's image and the environment he went through be the reasons to cause his male child to become gay? Since young I know I have a father but my mother hate him so much that she don't let him come back home. I rarely get to spend time with him. He really dote on me as he really treasure the time he managed to get to spent with me, he will do whatever he can just to make me feel happy. He passed away when I was 10 and the time I managed to get to see him through out his life is less than 100 times. Ever since he passed away I always wish to have a father and the desire for a father is super strong that I think of him everyday, till now I still wish that god can give me a god-father to love and dote me. After he passed away my family became really chaos as the sole breadwinner was gone. From then onwards I lived with my 2 elder sisters and mother. The image my mother gave me was weak and a person who cannot be rely on. We were so poor that we have to go on to the street and look for food. My mum always beat us up whenever she is angry and provoked. In my primary school I remember my female teacher always slap me when I scored a zero for my spelling. I used to get bullied by girls but some other girls are my best friends. There are guys in my school behaved really gay. They like to touch on the other guy's genital part and they think is fun. I always get bullied by them too. Now I'm 19 and I noticed that I'm quite different from the other gays as I never get turn on easily by young guys unlike the other gays I know always find them attractive. I'm a gay and I always like to go for old mature looking man who is manly and strong that possessed the image of a father. Can this be the possible cause for me to become gay? I did fall in love and kissed a girl when I was 7 yrs old in primary school but I remembered I had gay behaviors since that period of time. For example I get turn on when I look at guys that are tall and manly. I remember I have this super strong desire to touch a men's genital part when I was in primary 5 and then my classmate's image came into my mind as he always touch others boys genital part. Many people told me I'm born gay and the fact the I'm gay has nothing to do with my father or my environment. My gay behavior and desire for a man become stronger as I get older. I'm thinking that I might not be a gay in the first place but is because of my environment that shaped me into a gay. I would like to hear what the psychologist have to say and if it is possible that I can like the girls again.
