JVC CUVD10US DVD Everio Share Station
JVC CUVD10US DVD Everio Share Station With the JVC CU-VD10 ShareStation DVD Burner for Everio G Camcorders, you can create DVDs from the footage you've shot with your JVC Everio G-Series camcorders without the need for a computer. The JVC CU-VD10 connects directly to an Everio GZ-MG27, GZ-MG37 and GZ-MG77 via a USB cable and allows the camcorder to transfer footage directly to a DVD. The camcorder will convert .mod files to DVD video format, which the JVC CU-VD10 then makes into DVD video discs that can be played on most DVD players.

Once connected via USB 2.0, the camcorder automatically identifies the DVD burner and is used to control the burning process. The desired video clips are selected from a menu that appears on the camcorder's LCD, and with the push of a button they're transferred to a blank DVD that had been loaded into the JVC burner. One hour of video footage, which is about four gigabytes, takes approximately 45 minutes to burn to disc. Recordings are made using DVD-R/-RW discs.

The JVC CU-VD10 can also be connected to a Windows-based PC (Windows XP/2000SP4) for DVD burning and reading. When used with recommended DVD-R/-RW discs, it offers a write speed of up to 8x (4x RW), and a read speed of 8x (5x RW). It also offers a reading speed of 5x for DVD-ROM, and 10x for CD-R, CD-RW, and CD-ROM discs. The burner comes with Power 2 Go data writing software from Cyberlink for PC. Among its many advantages, recording directly to hard drive will give you the ability to quickly locate desired material, effortlessly delete unwanted video, and easily rearrange playback sequence.

Open Question: I have some stock shares, I bought them recently so I'm just about even, I have been reading about the ?
possibility of the Doller losing it's value because of the national dept and the state of our economy,(hyperinflation) so if that happens when I go to cash in my stocks the money that I receive for them might be worth less than what I paid for them, even though the stock value remains the same or even increased a little. any answer would be appreciated (more...)

Open Question: Do you think college seniors are getting shafted in the NBA draft?
It seems so. Every year this decade, it seems that all the teams are salivating more about college freshmen (and when it was allowed, high schoolers). But time and time again, the seniors getting picked up in the draft have also had successful NBA careers, and some noticeable steals in the draft have been seniors too in recent years. I won't use 2008 because it's too early to call 2007- Al Thornton (Clippers) was 14th; Aaron Brooks (Rockets) was 26th; Carl Landry (Houston) was 31st --- All are doing well for their teams and I expect it to continue. 2006 - This otherwise "weak" draft produced Brandon Roy (Blazers) at 6th and Randy Foye (T-Wolves) at 7th. I think they were shafted as well, and this draft had a lot of seniors in the lotto given that there weren't many high schoolers going pro, and weren't enough underclassmen who were ready to be lotto picks, which is how we saw JJ Redick and Shelden Williams go in the top 14, but I guess they deserved to make it up there anyways. 2005 - Danny Granger was 17th, nuff said. Ryan Gomes (T-Wolves) was 50th, and is doing well, at least statwise now. 2004 - Jameer Nelson, the National College Player of the Year was 20th folks! He should have been in the Lotto on Draft day and everyone was PO'ed about it. Tony Allen was 23rd... Emeka Okafor did graduate from UConn in 2004, but he only played for three years, so he doesn't count, even though he should be commended for his academic accomplishements. 2003 - David West, who won a share of the National College Player of the Year awards was picked 18th. Josh Howard, another split National College Player of the Year winner barely got in the 1st round at 29th. They both have become solid players at the very least. Do you think seniors are being overlooked in the draft because scouts think they have maxed out on their potential despite the fact that NBA players don't hit their prime until their late 20's to 30? Is it because the scouts salivate more about underclassmen and players playing in the FIBA leagues? Both? It mesmerizes me sometimes. (more...)

Open Question: Are my extra curricular activities adequate for a good college with my GPA?
I'm currently a Junior and plan to apply to colleges such as University of Chicago, Emory, Duke, and Wake Forest. My GPA is low (3.67 unweighted, 4.5 weighted), so I'll probably have to rely on extra curriculars, etc. a little more. Please let me know your honest opinion; if it seems inadequate, I'll still have some time to improve. Thanks! ~ 4 years of policy debate-- first in the district in 2008, National tournament qualified (competed in Las Vegas), Quarter finalist and octafinalist at 2 national tournaments, First place at the Samford Institute tournament, several speaker awards ~ In 2008, I single handedly founded an international literary and art magazine which has published works from people from all across the US, Sweden, Canada, etc. It has received around 10,000 readers. I'm also currently the editor-in-chief. I've also designed and maintained the website for the magazine. ~ In late 2008/ 2009, single handedly founded an online organization that encourages people of all ages to engage in hobbies that will make their lives more meaningful. It has members who's shared their success stories from all across the U.S. I've designed and maintained the website for the organization. ~ 10 poems/photography published in 8 international literary and art magazines. Each have about a 20% acceptance rate. ~ Established website where I sell my photography, and have had pretty good income in place of a job. ~ Co-president of the AI club in our high school for 3 years. During my co-president years, the club has won the "best interest club" award from our high school. ~ I helped establish another club in our school during Sophomore and Junior year. I'm currently the co-vice president of that club, and it has more than 100 members. ~ Piano for 6 years-- state champion in 2007, honorable mention in state in 2008, district winner for 3 years (fresh-junior), winner of sonata competition in 2007, consistently invited to play in private recitals, etc. ~ I've volunteered at a selective Science center, the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America. I have over 500 hours of community service. ~ I've worked in a lab at a state university over the summer. ~ I've attended 2 national debate institutes over the summer I'm sorry that was so long. I've just never shown anyone my extra curriculars, so I'm a bit insecure about them. Please let me know if it's very unique, mediocre, or poor. Thanks! (more...)

Open Question: Are you following the attack on media outlet in Sri Lanka? Per review I would like to know is the following:?
The Colombo Post (now defunct) was edited by Sri Lanka?s Consul ? General in Toronto. I have read several very different perspectives on the closure of the paper but what seems to stand out is that the paper was releasing information from unnamed sources that deemed to be from the diplomatic station that were not following proper lines of communication to the Government. The Consul-General is supposed to be releasing/sharing information with the government via secure transmission lines or diplomatic pouch not through the newspaper. This is especially true due to a war with a non-conventional enemy the LTTE. And priority of information should first be with the government and only after government clearance should be disseminated through the media. This is not significant of a fascist government but of a non-linear/multi-national terrorist threat. The exact location of these "leaks" is still unknown but it has been surmised to be of detriment. http://www.lankabusinessonline.com/fullstory.php?nid=1258452693 This item from US Ambassador Robert Blake?s office looks a bit more professional on the surface. Mr. Blake?s item appears from a business publication and Mr. Blake chairs the Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka ? known as the ?American Chamber of Commerce?. Usually diplomats work through a Bureau of Investment not a ?Chamber of Commerce? because of the level and complexity of diplomatic dealings. In this manner, it is unusual. In Mr. Blake?s piece it is stated that Sri Lanka is considered ?One of the most dangerous places for journalists in the world after Iraq? What both Sri Lanka and Iraq are learning is that threats posed against the established government include hit-and-run incidents that share a very high degree of mutual occurrence. These events include synchronized, international attacks from different terror elements in a same or sequential time frame. A recent event that comes to mind were the spate of multiple child abductions ? these occurred in a period of few days in Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Iraq and one other country that is not currently coming to mind. Prior to that there was a spate of attacks on diplomatic drivers, prior to that there was a series of assassination attempts on Presidents and Prime Ministers. This is indicative of terror networks that I first noticed the existence of in 2006. I have not only reported these events to my government, but also to yours, to Europol and the British Home Office. Whenever I see another sequence-I report it. It has become standard procedure in places such as the Middle East, Israel, Iraq and Sri Lanka to recuse press coverage and NGO/INGO interaction with terrorist elements or within high security threat areas because press/NGO security cannot be guaranteed in a non-linear, multi-national, synchronized threat environments. The press wants autonomy of movement without consultation of military or government but at the same time wants the government to instantaneously act/react when an incident is perpetrated against that body. There is an ongoing investigation Mr. Blake to ascertain what and who caused the attacks at Sirasa studios. My question is as follows: are Shakthi and Sirasa both housed at the same location or at different locations and is there more than one studio? http://transcurrents.com/tc/2009/01/post_251.html This piece also does not have a by-line. It is also in no way representative of unbiased journalism or even professional journalism as it has spelling and contextual errors as well as lack of journalistic style that would leave it to be categorized as a propaganda piece. Being propaganda, displayed as journalism, the first question that comes to mind is who does it benefit and where did it originate? ?Most of the terror squad were wearing trousers, tee- shirts and boots. They were young and physically fit and were close ? cropped and clean ? shaven. I THOUGHT THEY WERE MASKED GUNMEN According to a statement made to the Police by employees the attackers were very atheletic and conducted themselves like the ?hamudawe? (military).? It is well known that not only does the government have military so does the militant terrorist organization LTTE. And though the LTTE recruits may be thin, malnourished and non-professional, the command and supervisory forces are well built, well fed, clean cut and well organized. They are known to drive about in ?white vans? which they have received from several sources including NGOs. http://uk.reuters.com/article/worldNews/idUKTRE5052Q620090106?sp=true This piece does have a by-line; the information from the very first sentence differs from the previous piece that in great detail describes physical features. ?Masked gunmen threw grenades and destroyed the main studio of Sri Lanka's largest private broadcaster Tuesday, days after state media criticised it for coverage of a Tamil Tiger suicide blast.? http://transcurrents.com/tc/2009/01/post_250.html This piece mostly includes a press release ? in This is what I mean about non-conventional, symetrical attacks http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090107/ap_on_re_la_am_ca/lt_mexico_tv_attack;_ylt=Ak5_kL0bNvRAeDwfgFy.8jm3IxIF CHECK DRAFTS (more...)

Open Question: Racism/discrimination?
What is the point of the Race Relations Act 1976 and 2000? ?The Race Relations Act 1976 makes it unlawful to discriminate against anyone on grounds of race, colour, or ethnic or national origin and the aim is to promote equality of opportunity and good relations between people of different racial groups?. Do you think it?s effective? Has it reduced people being discriminated on racial grounds? Do people actually think of the Acts when discriminating? I personally believe that it?s just another document by the government; however, it can bring some organisations into justice because of their inequality. Share your views! (more...)

Resolved Question: Girls please help me Did I caused all this? Or was it her fault? [This takes place over a period of 1 and a ha?
I liked this girl (GirlX) in my cliche [group of friends who you hang out with] ever since I first saw her when school started. Although I was really scared. So we both talked often on msn, face-to-face and through sms-es...although we avoided subjects like love, and r/s. There was another girl (GirlY) in my cliche who lived opposite my block, hence we often took the same bus to and from school. Eventually, we became very close friends and she asked me to be her BFF(Best Friend Forever). So we decided to share things with each other, such as telling her that I had feelings for GirlX, and GirlY was extremely interested and decided to try and get the 2 of us together. She found out that GirlX and I both had feelings for each other, and decided to help us get together by making us sit beside each other more often during class. The both of us, girlX and I began to chat more often on msn and through sms-es although we were shy and had less and less face-to-face conversations. My BFF was an international student, so on National Day itself , at 7pm, my BFF decided to try and go out and watch fireworks together as a cliché, however, everyone was busy?so girlY decided to make me ask girlX out. When I asked girlX out, she replied ?maybe as she was unsure?? as my BFF and I wanted to leave earlier to get there in time, I told her to enjoy herself and left with my BFF only. However, the next day after school, girlX was furious with me and my BFF and when my BFF asked what was wrong..girlX finally admitted that she was unhappy I went out with my BFF ytd alone as she originally wanted to go with me but just wanted me to ask her more times to persuade her. [When my BFF told me this, I felt really bad and apologized a lot to girlX?but I didn?t tell girlX or my BFF that I felt hurt when girlX told me she was ?angry at herself for being mad at a dumb guy [me]??because I really didn?t know she wanted it.] A few days later, GirlX found out that I had let my BFF seen all my msgs to and from her and was angry with me. [I felt bad because I know these msgs were personal, however, because my BFF was trying to get us together, I felt that it was alright to let her see them...after all, either girlX or I would tell my BFF everything that happened. Hence, I apologised to her alot and that entire day, I spent all my time with her rather than being with my BFF]. The very same day, my BFF and I decided to walk home from school, when girlX saw it from the mrt, she msged my BFF and said that we looked like a couple...girlY then laughed and told me what girlX had sent her and said that girlX was jealous of us. I felt abit scared as i didn't wan to have to choose between girlX or girlY... Once, my BFF decided to bring me and girlX out to watch a movie together along with another friend. However, this was my first time out with girlX so I was extremely nervous and spent more time with my BFF, as I didn't dare to talk alot to girlX face to face and vice-versa...hence, girlX was unhappy at the end of it. [I know I screwed up and apologised non-stop and spent all my time in school together with her for the next few days..] A month or so later, GirlY told me to be brave and tell girlX the truth about how I felt towards her...so after school, I walked together with girlX to the school library and told her that I liked her alot....at that point girlX gave me my birthday gift that she had bought, and had kept it in her bag for 2 weeks as she didn't dare to give it to me. [I know I should have told her somewhere more privately but I was really scared to ask her to come with me somewhere isolated...so again I felt like I screwed up] Later, I found out that my BFF had known about the gift all this while and she asked me to talk to girlX personally in order to give us an opportunity to be alone...Later that week, girlX and I went together with friends of girlX to an event to help the elderly. During that time when we both were together and alone, girlX and I opened up and really spoke alot and had alot of fun together. [I was really happy as this was the first time girlX had spoken to me alot about herself]...The next week, during our school holidays..we had a cliche outing, while the rest cycled, girlX, my BFF and I bladed. At the beginning, I was at the front with the rest of the cliche cycling while girlX and girlY were behind chatting...suddenly girlX fell down, so I came back and helped her up. From that point onwards, I held her hand and spent the rest of my time with her while the rest of the cliche were further in front. During that point we were alone, girlX and I opened up again and talked happily as we kept holding hands. Everything was fine until my BFF started to show signs of unhappiness, I guess girlX could see my BFF was unhappy and kinda kept quiet from then on although we still held hands. [I wanted to send girlX home but carrying 3 pairs of blades + guards? I couldn't so I saw her off at the bus-stop and msged her constantly until she 'Continuation'...she reached home instead] On the way home alone, my BFF told me that she was unhappy as since she had set the both of us up, she wanted to be there with us, since we were the only ones blading. [After that day, X never spoke to me again and ignored me during class from then on....one day I decided to ask her what was wrong and she told me that I wasn't suitable for her. That was it and from that point onwards, we never spoke anymore....Note: 1) My BFF already has a BF 2) Maybe I was too close to my BFF, and I was unable to give girlX a sense of 'security' cuz many people in class always teased me and my BFF as a couple. [But I always thought that I made girlX feel special, hence it didn't matter if I was close to my BFF...after all BFF is best friends...how can best friends NOT be close? I feel that I made alot of stupid mistakes and caused her to reject me...but is it really my fault? How can I choose between my BFF and the girl I care about? *What happened* I couldn't stand seeing her in class everyday and not being like the past...so I tried again a few weeks later...and she refused to talk about it...all she said was just 'I wasn't the one for her' and that was it... It's been almost a year since we spoke at all and we both kinda avoid each other now in class if possible...I kinda wish sometimes that I didn't give her my heart...and giving myself false hopes that she was the one for me.... so now I am moving on with my life...although I still think about her sometimes... I can't let one rejection be the end of the world right? =) smile and move on with life..I;ll find someone eventually (more...)

Open Question: Should they change the Rose Bowl to Pac 10 champ vs. SEC champ?
I mean, since a SEC team has been in the national title game 3 years running it wouldnt work, but, by some chance if it did, I think it would be a good chance to shut USC up gloating in there big wins over overrated Big 10 teams, and then crying that they dont have a share to the national champ. Who agrees? Congrats USC beat Arkansas under pete carrol. (more...)

Open Question: Texas claiming to be co-champs already? Dont you all realize sharing is for babies?
Sure, say what you want..
