ClearSound Emergency Phone with 2 Wrist Emergency Transmitters (Up to 50DB+ Amplification)
ClearSound Emergency Phone with 2 Wrist Emergency Transmitters (Up to 50DB+ Amplification) Geemarc Ampli600+ Ampli600 Emergency Response Telephone (50+db amplification) The Amplified Emergency Connect (AEC) Phone is an amplified phone with Caller ID, speakerphone and emergency connect features all in one unit. The emergency connect feature gives you the peace of mind of a security service, without the monthly monitoring fees. One year warranty. How does the emergency feature work? The AEC becomes an automatic dialer in emergency situations. It comes with a small transmitter remote that can be worn on the wrist like a watch, or attached to a neck lanyard (included). In the event of an emergency, the wearer presses the emergency button on the transmitter or phone. Once the emergency button is pressed, the phone numbers of up to six preprogrammed emergency contacts are dialed. These are normally family members, friends or neighbors who would be able to respond to the emergency call. If there is no response after 30 seconds or the line is busy, the phone automatically dials the next preprogrammed phone number. It will cycle through the emergency numbers twice. When the phone reaches a live person, it will play your pre-recorded emergency message. The other person will dial a number (0-9) to confirm that the emergency message has been received and to deactivate the phone from dialing the next emergency contact number. The AEC then turns on its speakerphone so that the emergency contact is able to speak and listen to the other user, known as Remote Audio Monitoring. Benefits: 50+ dB amplification makes it easy to hear callers Two transmitters included Easy to install and use Two waterproof battery-powered remote transmitters included Allows you to remain independent and provides peace of mind Reduces the anxiety of those living alone Provides added security without monthly security monitoring fees Download User Manual

Open Question: Would the TV series Lincoln Heights fare as well as ER did on primetime nighttime TV like NBC, CBS, or ABC?
Lincoln Heights the 3-year drama series about a family living in Los Angeles neighborhood: the Suttons, is very dramatic and attacks current real-life issues like school bullies and drug addiction. I really like the show and watch the episodes a lot when they come on Fox Family channel. Just wondering if anyone thinks it would do as well as Law & Order or ER if the show came on NBC 4 at 10:00 pm like some of those other shows do. I think it would do very well even with kids in the starring roles because of the issues it attacks and the very good acting by the people in the roles especially Hornsby as Eddie Sutton! (more...)

Open Question: Back Pain and Joint Pain after Childbirth?
3 months ago I gave birth by c section. It was a long labor and afterwards I had a lot of back pain and still do along w/sharp pains in my abdomen. It is an achy pain that travels across the lower back. Everytime I walk I feel electricity shoot up to my neck. I feel stiff and weak after sitting for long periods and at times have some numbing in my legs. I can sometimes hear a clicking sound in my hips and knees. It just seems like they are out of place. When I went to my pcp he did a short nerve compression test such as lifting my toes and it turned out fine and said I had probably stretched or tore some ligaments so sent me to physical therapy. They did a urine test and ultra sound which was also fine. I've been going to therapy for a month and just feel worse. Just about a week ago I went to the doctor cause I thought I had a UTI and they said there was a high white blood count in my urine. They prescribed me macrobid and I took one dose. Later that day I took a naproxen cause my backk was really hurting. Within an hour I had muscle spasms in my abdomen and back. Soon after my body started shaking unconrollably and my feet turned completely ice cold and white. I couldn't feel my toes or bottom of my feet. I went to the ER and they said the spasms were from the UTI and I had some kind of panic attack or went into shock because my body doesn't like being sick. This really didn't make too much sense to me because my bladder wasn't just spasming but my back and other organs were. I just feel like I'm going to have to live with this pain and stiffness forever. Doesn anyone have an idea of what may be going on? I have psoriasis and eczema and was wondering if it could be arthritus related. (more...)

Open Question: recommend a prevention/remedy for heart attack/stroke and a heart specialist in arizona.?
my short story..... maternal family history....diabetes, cancers of many sorts(young siblings n old relatives), glaucoma, weak kidney, extreme ecxema, n a few other things. paternal history...possible digestion problems bc some have acne/skin problems. dad finally died of a heart attack, his sisters/siblings/cousins died of the same thing. they were all young, dad was only 42. my sister is 47 n has had congenital heart disease for years. she is in a wheelchair, on oxygen, n got a defibrillator implant last year. over the last few years i have had off and on high blood pressure. it was minor and i did not always need medication. i have had small symptoms of heart trouble for about 10 years. it never prevented me from doing anything and no doctor gave me any medications. about 10 years ago i noticed shortness of breath w the stair climbing, so i lost weight to accomodate. i have an extremely small frame so i went from what looked like average to skinny. that helped a lot. i did not associate the shortness of breath w anything else. there were bouts w stress and i lived in a house that poisoned me w various pollutions. the gase hot water heater was never properly hooked up and the vents were never properly cleaned. i breathed that for almost 15 years before i figured it out. i am sure that had something to do w my deterioration. early last year i had strange things like small tightness in the jaw joint from time to time and the throat closing like a suffication/choking. i had to concentrate to squeeze down air. i never knew how to quite explain that but the doctors dismissed it. once i was eating and suddenly could not swallow no matter how hard i concentrated. last year i went to a heart specialist w pain in my left arm. the office was horrible. they depended solely on a stress test but they could nt get the wires hooked up right. plus some girl was in training and did not know what she was doing. the supervisor came in to help but she was no better. when the visit was over i was upset because they told me nothing was wrong. just come back next year. i tried to convince them otherwise but i did not do a good job. i did not think to go to another specialist. months went by. eventually i walked down my hallway and suddenly out of the blue felt nauseous then faint. i did not faint, but since i did not know what it was i was puzzled with the episode. about june i started to have serious shortness of breath and problems w high blood pressure. my doctor left the country and i did not find a replacement. i had daily headaches n it seems that i had them so bad it could have been a small stroke. maybe i am paranoid, but something did go wrong. the doctors have no idea what i describe to them. i am gettting upset just thinking about it but no one took this seriously so i trusted them and thought i was in better shape than i really was. with horrific stress, divorce, job problems, financial difficulty (the usual stress killers), etc. i find that i have symptoms that i have never encountered before. pressure/light tightness from head to toe on the left side. turned to burning on the left side. flushed cheeks. dull tingling/numbness of the lower face/tongue/lips, dizziness and uncontrolled hbp. the numbers range from the low 100's to 160+. before it was far over that. when all this started the numbers were only about 125 and i thought that was horrible. it changes from minute to minute even with a stronger medication. the dull pain in my arm moved up to near my armpit then it moved to the left side of my upper chest. i try to keep it as low as possible by drinking hot tea or soup. it drops a few points (ie: from 160 to 140) but i can not seem to keep it under 140. excercise does not seem to help. my heart pounds excessively and has done so for about 4 months. it does not matter if the pressure rate is down or not. all i take is hbp medicine and vitamins one time each day. i saw a new heart specialist who is just having me wait for testing. while i wait, i made an appointment w a 3rd heart specialist. in the meantime i asked my existing doctor (2nd) what can be done n i was told to go the ER. no thanks. the bill used to be only 50.00 for ER but now the visits are now close to 1k with insurance. the health care system i am in told me that the doctors don't contract with them anymore. after insurance, i still have a large bill. so here i am asking you what i can do to keep my hbp under control and to prevent a heart attack and stroke. i am about 50 years old, female, over 5feet 7inches tall, small/skinny frame and i could not take any more medical/financial trauma. i never smoked/drank or did drugs but i find myself taking tylenol every day for the headaches. i never like junk food. as a baby my favorite foods were vegetables. i dont eat a perfect diet becasue of the high food prices. my kitchen has poultry, canned leafy greens, canned beans, canned tuna, canned beets, rice, dried (more...)

Open Question: To Women. Why do feel enraged at things that you didn't care about one min ago?
A friend of mine asked if women should get the vote (with my girlfriend present) she went into one, and got really pi**ed off and then declared that ALL men were sexist bastards and that we shouldn't get the vote... er... Irony much? The Kettle calling the pot black? She responded with a sexist comment! This continues, women don't give a flying f*** about women's rights until they are brought into question, at which point they go ballistic! Pfff. I could understand it if it was something that was on your mind all the time, but it isn't! After all is said and done, women usually then go about ignoring rights they have gained (like voting). Im confused please explain. Also please note that the example that I gave may not be a good one for american women because I come from the continent, which is what mainland europeans call europe (germany to be exact), anyway, people here honestly dont care as much about voting. Before you ask I am now living in england which exlains my english lol. and just defendig yourselves wont do- that is what i have gotten so far, why eply with a sexist comment AND read carefully, I didnt say it! My friend Ash did! And no Im not frm Sri Lank lol, Im from Germany. Warum wuerden sie denken dass ich davon kommen wuerde? (more...)

Resolved Question: Poly-vi-sol and Vaccines - 2 different Questions?
Situation 1: My son had his 4 month well-Dr. visit yesterday. His pediatrician suggested that I start giving him a vitamin D supplement, such as Poly-vi-sol, because he is exclusively breastfed. We tried giving him some in the past but he gagged. It taste horrible to him. I tried some, and it taste very metallic. I cannot give my son something that awful, it will make him sick! Breastfeeding moms, do/did you give your child multivitamins or a vitamin D supplement? If so, which brand did you buy? Situation 2: At my sons appointment yesterday he received another round of vaccinations. He did just fine at his 2 month appointment, just a slight fever. He got the shots at 10 am yesterday morning. He seemed OK after getting them this time. But at 5 pm I was nursing him, he was eating well, but he started throwing up for no apparent reason. I am not talking just a little bit of normal baby throw up either. This was bottom of the gut, shot out a good 4 - 5 feet throwing up. It was scary because he kept doing it about 4 times. I have never seen him throw up like that before, and I never knew how much milk could come out of him. After cleaning him up and waiting for about 30minutes, I tried to feed him again, and he threw up again! Finally, his belly was empty and he just started gagging, like he had to throw up some more, but there wasn't anything there. We took him to the ER to be checked out. They could not find anything wrong with him. He was able to hold down some milk at 9 pm. They sent us home, and thankfully he has been able to eat without puking. My question is, has anyone ever experienced this with your child after receiving vaccines? I read in a book about a child that threw up after his first rounds of vaccines, and 2 months later after another round he had seizures and died. I do not want this to happen to my child. I do not know what to do. Where I live, if he doesn't get vaccines, he can't even go to school. I am going to talk to his pediatrician about this. But I just wanted other opinions from parents. Should we continue with vaccines, or just stop them altogether? Should we wait a year to give him the rest? This is a scary thing to go through. I do not want to lose my son. Thank you in advance for your answers. (more...)
