Earlier today I read an answer by a poster mentioning not to use pellet litter. With that & no further info. I read a few blogs on the subject to find out why it might not be safe. I'm alternating between Yesterday's News & Feline Pine...whichever my local store has in stock at the time. My 7 month old kitten will play in any & all non-pellet litters. I read that a few people believe Feline Pine has driven up liver enzymes in their geriatric cats & small animals ( the blood test ws normal until they changed to that brand & dropped back to normal when they stopped using it). I couldn't find any negatives on safety with YN litter. So I need to know if you have any further info. And if you know or use a pellet other then the above that you would recommend. I picked up a Specialized Crossroads at the local GoodWill store for 30 beans... It hasn't a single scratch on it and it runs pretty damn well aside from the slight gear-changing problems... I replaced the tubes and plan to throw some new slick tires on it soon, I took the bars off my 06 DiamondBack Response and flipped em and slapped em on with some new rubber grips. I raised and re-wrapped the seat to match the white and green lettering on the frame. I made a saddlebag out of a fannypack I got from GoodWill for a buck as well. The brakepads look MINT but braking feels TERRIBLE and grindy and bone chilling to say the least so I'm going to try to sand the rims down a bit... Any ideas on a budget build with this rig? The frame size isn't ideal for me so I don't plan to try to convert it into any sort of performance bike... I was thinking maybe a fixie just for $hits and gigs, or maybe try to get this derailluer tuned up, idk... any ideas??? Possibly new derailleurs and crankset? Possibly SS? I go to my local grocery store once a week and buy a frozen chicken. But before cooking and eating the chicken, I have sexual intercourse with it. Then I cook it and eat it. I never tell anyone about what I do, and I've never regretted my actions in any way. I've never shown any ill effects from behaving this way. I remain an upstanding member of my community. Age: 18 State: NC I was at a local mall with a few friends, and we were browsing some clothing. The idea comes to me out of no where to pluck the tags off of these items. I remove the bar codes, and my friends then decide to leave the store. I stroll out of the door of the store with $23 of merchandise, and a loss prevention employee taps me on my shoulder, thus begins my nightmare. My stupid mistake of thinking that I might be getting away with shoplifting gets me a one year ban from the mall and a five year ban from the store. (Both conditions are perfectly fine with me). I understand my stupid mistake, and I just wish to forget it, learn my lesson, and get on with life. The LP employees were about as nice and curious as someone could be after witnessing a theft from their store. The officer that filed the report, however, was quite the opposite. He brought to my attention that "All hopes of college are gone" for me (which I could understand), but he did go on to make several insulting comments. (Was I a transvestite or crossdresser? Did I have incest love with the three girls that I was with whom he presumed to be my sisters? Tossing a sarcastic comment at me about my haircut in my drivers license picture). Now I have a court date for early April and no idea of where to turn next. I am content with a paying a fine, I've already saved a few hundred dollars. I hate now having a criminal record, and the fact that this was such a petty mistake and poor judgment just rubs salt in the wound for me. My questions are: 1) Is it worth it to hire a lawyer, or would I just get the same punishment if I were to go to court alone, admit to the crime, say how stupid I feel, and accept whatever penalty they throw at me? 2) Am I facing jail time? I'd imagine that since this is a first-time offense (and for such a small price [$23]), I shouldn't have any more than an over-night stay, if any jail time at all. 3) What kind of fee might I be looking at? 4) Is there any chance of expunging the charge, either immediately or within the next year or two? I'm am mainly concerned about questions 1, 2, and 4. Also, please remember that I was not trying to impress anyone. No one else in my group realized I was doing it. I have never had a history in shoplifting either. This was the first and will be the last time that I ever attempt such a stupid stunt. (more...)
