My story is about a girl who moves from L.A. to Crystal Falls and she meets kids her age there. They become friends and start doing activities together, like making a movie, and going to cafes. I just need a problem, and then I can figure out the solution by myself. What would you like to read in a realistic fiction girl book? Um, kind of like the Clique series and Camp Confidential series. I really don't know the point of Camp C.'s problem, because it rotates perspectives. This novel is about fifth-eighth level really, so what problems do girls that age have? (I'm in seventh, and during winter break right now, all I have is what to do and I'm stuck with no friends only family) Any suggestions? Thanks! Here's the first few paragraphs (eww no indents) to help. Chapter 1 I walked slowly down the sidewalk on the hot but cool summer day. It was around three, three-thirty. There was nothing to do, nothing at all for me,an average twelve year old who lives in Crystal Falls--Mish Carson. Ah, I thought to myself, Crystal Falls. That was the problem with me having nothing to do. All because we had to move from famous Los Angeles---Hollywood, might I add---to boring old Crystal Falls here in the middle of nowhere. Okay, maybe not nowhere--Michigan isn't exactly nowhere. There just isn't anything to do here. I liked being back in Los Angeles. Once or twice I would spot a famous star walking down the street and ask for their autograph. But I doubted that would happen in Crystal Falls. I decided to turn around and get my bike. Maybe I could get a free cone from Mr. Smythe, the ice cream shop owner. After all, in a town this small, he was sure to know me enough to figure out my father was an attorney."Ah, you're Mr. Carson's daughter, Michelle!" he would probably say. I would say back,"No, I'm Mish," annoyed, because that had never happened in Los Angeles. My dad wasn't as well known in LA as here. I mean, when I introduced myself to someone, I would say, "Mish. Call me Mish," and they would never have to know I was Michelle. Ugh. I hated people calling me "Michelle". "Mish" was so much better. I had reached my house by now. For a small town in the middle of Michigan, it was pretty classy. Tall, three storied, pink with white shutters and white poles coming down from the roof that stuck off the edge--not dangerously, just very pretty and magical looking, almost like a palace, but smaller. I had been looking forward to moving. My friends back in LA had been really comforting, convincing me that moving would be great. They still e-mailed me a lot, and they were just like their plain old selves. I stepped into the shed, which was beige and had a tan roof. It was pretty plain compared to my "magical" home. I pulled my bike out from under Dan and Amy's bikes. Dan was my fourteen year old brother, and Amy was seventeen. Amy usually spent her time locked up in her room, calling her friends and chattering away about boys and things only a seventeen year old would know. Dan was a real pain, always making up lame jokes and adding the ever so annoying, "Do you get it?" and he's always lazy but sometimes he's okay. Sometimes. (more...)

Can anyone tell me how to figure the following : James left Southport at 3:15 p.m. He arrived at Oakdale at midnight. He figured his car traveled 507.5 miles on 18 1/8 gallons of gasoline. What was James' average speed ??? What was his cars; mileage ??? The distance from Max's home to his office is 48 miles. While commuting during a 5 day week, he uses 1 1/2 tanks of gasoline. If the car's tank holds a maximum of 16 gallons of gas, what is its mileage?? If the roundtrip takes Max 1 hour and 45 minutes, what is his average speed rounded to the nearest mile per hour ???? Mrs. Scott filled her car's tank which has a capacity of 16 gallons of gas. She then drove 286 miles to visit her daughter in college. When she completed the 5 1/2 hour trip, the car had half a tank of gas. What was Mrs. Scott average speed ??? What was her car's mileage ??? Every Tuesday Amy drives the same 178 mile route. Some days the ride can take her 3 hours 15 minutes. Other days the ride can take as long as 5 hours 45 minutes. What is Amy's range of speeds for the trip rounded to the nearest mile per hour ??? I know this question has been asked about a million times. I just wanted to hear it myself why people are so afraid of pit bulls. Honestly I love the breed. And with my experience I know they are like big babies. Intelligent. And very loving. All dogs bite and its sad to know that pit bulls are the only ones who receive publicity for their negative actions. Lets see some stats about pit bulls. Pit bulls serve as service dogs and search and rescue dogs. Petey from Little Rascals was a pit bull. (He worked with children all day) Rosie Perez, The Crocodile Hunter, Judd Nelson, Usher, Alicia Silverstone, Cassandra Creech, Sinbad, John Stuart, Amy Jo Johnson, Linda Blair, Vin Diesel, and Bernadette Peters all have pit bulls. America's first war dog was a Pit Bull named Stubby. LEGENDARY HERO. The National Canine Temperament Testing Association tested 122 breeds, and Pit Bulls placed the 4th highest with a 95% passing rate! A 2008 study of 6,000 dog owners who were interviewed indicated that smaller breed dogs were more likely to be ?genetically predisposed towards aggressive behaviour.? Pit bulls were rated as ?average or below average for hostility towards strangers Many of the people who dislike this breed of dog have not done ANY research to base their opinion on. Proving it is actually a bunch of craplings :]. But what do you think of the breed? :] I agree. Ankle biters just aren't reported as much as Pit Bulls. & yes ALOT of drug dealers and pit bull fighters look professional and have the largest pit bull fighting rings around. Pit bulls were not bred for fighting. Thats actually very funny and wrong. Their a terrier they were bred for work. Once again people with negative opinions tend to be highly uneducated. Pit bulls were ORIGINALLY bred to fight, the same way German Shepards were bred to be vicious. It was bred out of the breed for the most part. and wait as anyone else wondered why German Shepards aren't banned in some places? Dont get me wrong I LOVEEEEEEEE German shepards. Just a thought :] Well Im sorry fr your cousin honestly I am. But if a west indian person shot someone you loved, would you hate all indians? If a black person cut off your finger would you hate all black people? If a white person took our your eye, would you hate them too? Thats what we want people to understand, its the dog not the breed. A German shepard could have easily done the same thing. Some people believe they were bred for fighting. because today some are when they are used in Pit bull fighting situations. A "Pit bull" is technically called an American Pit Bull Terrier, and does not ONLY refer to that dog. It technically refers to American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. And FYI I dont aim to change anyones mind, not could I care less about the ignorance of people :]. There are Pros and Cons to each breed. I simply stated my point and provided evidence. OK, so Amy confronts her dad's murderer, Phil in the Jail. She leaves without him explaning the full story. 10 years later, Amy moves on in life, despite losing one of her strongest pillars in life (her dad). She meets a guy, and they are engaged months later. Both are similar because they have lost parents. Andrew meets Amy's mum, and Amy meets Andrew's dad. To her horror, she remembers those same eyes... that same face. She is shellshocked. It's her dad's killer. (By the way, Andrew knew about his dad killing someone, and he's always had this uncertainty around him, but he realises in his teens that his dad actually killed someone for him because they needed money for Andrew's operation - every day Andrew's state was deteriorating. His father couldn't handle it anymore and had to take action. His dad was involved in a 2 people burglary where he tried to hijack Amy's dad's car, he accidently shoots her dad when he hears the sirens of the police's car approaching.) He wishes to take it back. So right now, I'm on the part where she realises who she is - her dad's murderer. Any ideas what could happen next? I was thinking he tries to explain to her what happens. But then I'm not sure how she would react. Argh very stuck!! How can I end it? Any sensible suggestions welcome! Thankyou! By the way, do you think it's a good plot?
