Open Question: divorce petition on cruelty at Delhi?
I filed divorce petition in June 2006 at Rohini court Delhi on the ground of cruelty and case is moving very slowing. She also charged me cruelty in her reply to my petition. She is saying that she will not give me divorce. Now, what remedy in my hand even I proved cruelty in court. Open Question: How to take files off a hard drive that already has a operating system?
I purchased a new comp but my old one which no longer works has all my files and and important information on it, nothing happened to the hard drive and it still works but i cant access it on this comp it is telling me it needs to be formatted. The files are EXTREMLY important for court and i was wondering if anyone new of any way I would be able to get the files off of it. If there is anything i can buy that i could hook up to my new comp and some how get the files off or if there are any programs that may work..im completely and udderly lost and would really like some help. I called around to a few computer places and cause of the amount of files that have to be taken off they are gonna charge me a crazy amount of money, so i know there is a way i was just wondering if anyone knows how they do it (more...)

Open Question: Charged with some awful things... not guilty, but scared of court?
I was at a bar a few months ago and I got escorted out for knocking down a small plastic sign hanging above the bar. When I was right by the door exiting the bar, with the bouncer directly behind me, I grabbed my multi-tool out of my coat pocket just out of habit and looked down at it (It was brand new, I was playing with it in my pocket so I decided to take it out for a sec). The bouncer saw me look down at it and saw the shiny tool as a threat, even though I didn't have it opened (it opens to pliers anyway). At no point did I turn at him with it or make any threatening motions, but he was jumpy so he threw me out the door where there were 3 police hanging out. I was instantly grabbed by the three police and forced to the ground very violently, I suffered two very black eyes and a flurry of punches to the legs and stomache. After being taken to the police detachment and thrown in jail for 9 hours, I was given charges for Assault with a Weapon and Concealing a Weapon for Dangerous Purposes. I never touched anybody or was trying to be threatening. The police beat me up very badly even though I didn't resist them at all. I'm so scared to go to court over this because after looking up the Assault charge it seems like if somebody feels threatened then that can be assault. I have a court date next week to file a plea, and it will be not-guilty. I just wish this would just all go away. I'm not a bad person and I've never been arrested before in my life. People that know me know I'm a very gentle person and would never hurt a fly. What is court like? Should I be this scared? Inferno: I didn't fully explain the sign part. When I approached the bar, the bartender was talking to some girl and grabbed that sign and knocked one side of it down, which struck me in the face. Im not sure if he did it by accident or what, I wasn't paying attention until I got hit with the sign. Anyway, the sign was hanging there so I grabbed the other side and pulled the rest of it down. The bartender didn't like that I did that and signalled for the bouncer. And I feel you are right about the multi-tool and saying that I "decided to take it out"... the unforunate thing is I didn't have a really good reason to have it out, I was just curious about it and have a habit of playing with things :( (more...)

Open Question: What are my rights in this contract matter?
I recently agreed to do a web project for someone involving building a CMS for his site. I also host his site and had designed it some time ago. I have alos done many maintenance things without charging and when it came time to pay for this agreement... he complained about his site design which was not part of the deal and then said he wanted a redesign. So we offered that addition at another cost and when he wasn't able to haggle it down any further, he decided he didn't want any of it at all. Then he claimed he never signed a contract which is true, but we sent a proposal which he agreed to in email and while we worked he sent us content. (which I would take as proof he knew of the work and agreed) Now he wants to stick us with all the wasted time and take his files. Keep in mind that not once did he question the admin... which is what the work was for. I suspended his account since their was no hosting contract to begin with and said his files are collateral until he pays for the work he has us do. Is that within my rights? Can he sue for damages to his business. I have the whole thing clearly outlined in emails. (more...)

Open Question: Harassment via text messages?
I dated a man for almost three years, and found out a month after breaking it off that I was pregnant with his child. I made the decision not to give the relationship another try, and moved on to dating others. I found myself turning back to him every time a relationship went sour, which obviously (even though I stated otherwise to him) gave him the hope that we would end up together again - we never did. About a year ago I got married after only a brief courtship. Obviously, this did not sit well with my ex, but he didn't start getting nasty with me until a few months ago when I told him he needed to move on and stop thinking I was coming back to him. Now I have been receiving messages from him calling me every name in the book. I have asked him several times to stop, but he just gets worse when I don't get nasty back. The main problem here is that if I try to file harassment charges, and ask for a no harassment order, how will that impact the custody order as far as visitation? Also, is this considered harassment in the first place? (more...)

okay, before you tell me all those other things here are some things to know: 1) i did enable it through my internet and the control panels security thingy 2) it says it has "turbo-charged' connection 3) i have tried downloading it again (i got it an hour ago, uninstalled it and downloaded it again) 4) have tried hitting connect under file 5) and have tried going to the connect under options underneath the tools section in the toolbar okay, now that you know the situation a bit i hope someone- anyone! can help me, im really close to desperate haha. thanks, and 10 points to user who can help me!! He downloaded one set of flash files which failed, so he downloaded another set and tried it and the phone went blank. It's not turning onand it only charges when connected to the computer. i became pregnant at 15 by my ex who was 18. i delieved my baby at 16 and is 19. we have been dating since i was 14 and he was 17. a detective came to my housee and asked if i wanted sexual assault charges filed on him and i said NO I DO NOT.., so i wrote a statement .. and the detective said it should be good. then i get a call from a d/a to come answer QUESTIONS and speak to a sexual assault advocate.. Open Question: should i press discrimnation charges?
last month i got fired from my job for false what i believe is false accusations! they said that i tried to start a fight with all the people that i worked with and that all i did was talk mess which i never did. well one day i went to work didnt talk to anyone and all of a sudden a guy comes up to me trying to start a fight for know reason he starts threating me telling me that hes going to get me an all that for no reason so i tell him he needs to calm down that he needs to be quiet before we both get in trouble but he kept going so i walked off later on the supervisor calls me in his office and tells me that im terminated for starting a fight! i tried to tell him my side of the story but he told me to leave! later on i find out that the guy that told on me and fausly accused me didnt like me cause i was moving up faster then he was so he did what he had to do to get me fired. then i found out that the guy that threatend me didnt get fired cause he had family that worked there so he didnt get fired! this company has been known for treating hispanic latinos very bad and im trying to find out if i should file discrimanation against them and if i do what should i say?
