Open Question: I need Flickr help here people, please?
The whole day i was searching and browsing random pictures of celebs/Movie stars because i wanted a nice desktop background but instead i Right clicked "block images from (a certain website)" instead of "set as Desktop Background" Now when i brows other celebrities like Chris brown, Taylor Latiner or any other person the pictures seem to have disappeared accept one or two pictures from a whole list of pics that USED to show up. please help if you have any idea how to unblock the site that i accidentally blocked. Open Question: Can anyone help me with the origins of a last name?
The name is Vontalee (all one word). I've only been able to trace it as far as Florida, were my great-grandfather had it as his middle name (his parents got it from an old family last name). After that, the trail stops dead. It doesn't look like anyone else in the world has this name in their history (except my uncle, who also got it as his middle name). When I searched it in Google, for example, I only found 5 hits. FIVE. And get this- two were from me (things I'd posted on Flickr tagged with that name), and the three others were from local yearbook clubs and personal listings- with only my great-grandfather's and uncle's names. I've tried splitting the name in various ways (thinking the name might originally have be Von Tale or something), but nothings worked. I know there's a lot of Native American ancestry in that branch of the family, so the name might have simply been made up to sound more European (perhaps to avoid relocation?). If anyone has any ideas, I'd be happy to hear them. P.S. I've tried genealogy websites- no good. (more...)

Open Question: How do I get my flickr photos to come up in a Yahoo image search?
I posted flickr photos of a particular food and I believe I did everything correctly within flickr, but when I do a yahoo image search I see hundreds of photos but not mine. When I refine the search to a tag that only returns 1 or 2 images mine are not among them. I really want my images to appear as results when people search yahoo images. Any Ideas? (more...)

Resolved Question: What is a good website to view professional black and white photography?
I'm not talking about Flickr or photo bucket, where most of the photos are done by people who happen to have a camera. I'm looking for sites like that (with easy to search and view options), but actual professional photographers who put a lot of thought and effort into the composition of the photos. Any ideas? I'm learning black and white photography (portraits of people and animals), and I want to see how it is "supposed" to look, if I do things right. (more...)

Open Question: How come my flickr photos don't show up in Yahoo images searches?
I opened a flickr account dedicated to a certain food. I have titled my photos based on that food, written a description, and tagged my photos. When I do an image search in yahoo on any of my tags loads of images come up from flickr but none are mine. I posted the images on flickr in october it's not like they haven't cached yet. Any Ideas? I really want my flickr page as public as possible and really want my photos to show up when people search for this type of food. Thanks in advance, (more...)
