Resolved Question: does this mean its okay to date someone 17 if im 19?
Idaho
The age of consent in Idaho is 18.
18-1508A. SEXUAL BATTERY OF A MINOR CHILD SIXTEEN OR SEVENTEEN YEARS OF AGE - PENALTY. (1)It is a felony for any person at least five (5) years of age older than a minor child who is sixteen (16) or seventeen (17) years of age, who, with the intent of arousing, appealing to or gratifying the lust, passion, or sexual desires of such person, minor child, or third party, to: (a) Commit any lewd or lascivious act or acts upon or with the body or any part or any member thereof of such minor child including, but not limited to, genital-genital contact, oral-genital contact, anal-genital contact, oral-anal contact, manual-anal contact or manual-genital contact, whether between persons of the same or opposite sex, or who shall involve such minor child in any act of explicit sexual conduct as defined in section 18-1507, Idaho Code...
Also, Idaho law considers any sexual intercourse between an adult man and a girl younger than 18 to be rape:
18-6101. RAPE DEFINED. Rape is defined as the penetration, however slight, of the oral, anal or vaginal opening with the perpetrator's penis accomplished with a female under any one (1) of the following circumstances: 1. Where the female is under the age of eighteen (18) years...
I am still a little confused i really like this girl and want to date her.

Resolved Question: How many of the 50 U.S. states can you name?
Off the top of your head, list as many of the States of the United States of America as you can. You may spend as long on this as you like, but the time you devote to this will likely be restricted by some of the following guidelines for your response:
-Do not use external assistance, including research; music, objects, texts and other sources of ?inspiration? should not be used.
-Do this in one place in one sitting.
-Give two scores:
-The number of States you listed (spelling is not important so long as you had the right idea)
-The above score, but with the number of incorrect items in your list subtracted
-Explain what informed your response.
-List the places you have lived for any significant amount of time.
-Separate the items in your list into the following three sections, in the same order:
-Places you know are States
-Places you think are States
-Any other guesses
-Once you?ve finished your initial list, list the following, if applicable:
-States you missed
-Your incorrect items from the initial list
-Try to maintain the order you thought of each list item in your final listing.
-Time yourself
-You must know the most common abbreviated official name of any States you list. (For example, you would get a point for listing ?Cali? so long as you knew that it was more commonly known as ?California?, but would not need to know that its full official name is ?State of California?.)
-Please provide any other relevant and useful information you wish to volunteer.
You are now ready to start.
Finished? The following is my own response:
~
Format: x) State [How I thought it was spelled]
Definite:
1) Alabama +1=1
2) Maryland +1=2
3) Mississippi +1=3
4) Missouri +1=4
5) Massachusetts [Massuchussetts] +1=5
6) Florida +1=6
7) Albuquerque +1=7
8) Texas +1=8
9) Oklahoma +1=9
10) Washington +1=10
11) Atlanta +1=11
12) Ohio +1=12
13) Arizona +1=13
14) Connecticut [Conneticut] +1=14
15) New York +1=15
16) California +1=16
17) Alaska +1=17
18) Tennessee [Tenessee] +1=18
19) Nevada +1=19
20) Minnesota +1=20
21) Kentucky +1=21
22) Pennsylvania +1=22
23) Louisiana +1=23

43) Rhode Island +1=42
44) South Carolina +1=43
45) New Jersey +1=44
46) North Virginia +0= 44 (2 wrong.)
47) Columbia (British Colombia is in Canada, right?) +0=44 (3 wrong.)
Last-ditch:
48) Puerto Rico +0= 44 (4 wrong.)
49) South Virginia +0 = 44 (5 wrong.)
Missed:
1) Oregon
2) Maine
3) New Hampshire
4) Utah
Incorrect:
Philadelphia
North Virginia
Columbia
Puerto Rico
?South Virginia?
Final score: 44 (-5=39 if incorrect guesses subtract points)
The only place in which I have lived for any significant amount of time is London (the one in the United Kingdom). My knowledge of the States draws primarily from news articles regarding them and my general information amassing.

Resolved Question: what kind of plant is this?
i live in idaho and i see this plant all the time...mostly around water...it is green and has straight, clustered stems, each one segmented so you can actually pull the individual segments apart and then put them back together. where the segments end there is a little white ring with (sometimes) a dotted black line around the circumference. Sometimes the entire stem section has large black splotches all over it as well.
if you need more information, the roots are somewhat shallow and the "stems" are really stiff and hollow.
if you know the name of this plant, common name OR scientific name, or even if you know(have seen) what im talking about...let me know

Resolved Question: Let's look at the "education" section of each Presidential Candidates and VP's "Resume" - who to Hire?
Which team are you going to hire?
As a Voter,You are The Boss... which team would you hire?
These are the educational backgrounds of your options:
> McCAIN:
> United States Naval Academy - Class rank 894 of 899 (bottom 1% of his class)
>
> PALIN:
> Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester
> North Idaho College - 2 semesters - general study
> University of Idaho - 2 semesters - journalism
> Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester
> University of Idaho - 3 semesters - B.A. in journalism
> OBAMA:
> Occidental College - Two years.
> Columbia University - B.A. political science with a specialization in international relations.
> Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna *** Laude (top 5% of his class)
>
> BIDEN:
> University of Delaware - B.A. in history and B.A. in political science.
> Syracuse University College of Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.)
Which team are you going to hire?
Java - Wow Now the defense is to devalue education and call it "elitism" - really grasping for straws huh. Good Luck with that.
But Judging by the current RP Pres.- well the man can barely form a coherent sentence so I guess this scenario looks a bit brighter.
mbush40 - Just by looking at your answer and the way it is written ( spelling an such), speaks volumes.

Resolved Question: I want to have a vbac w/my next child, we will be living near MH AFB Idaho. I heard there is a vbac ban. Help?
I recently read an article about the ban on having a vbac in the Northwestern States, specifically Idaho. My husband is active duty Air Force and just got orders to Mountain Home AFB. While we are thrilled to be moving to a new state, I am bummed because I had a c-section with my son just over 4 months ago. My doctor induced labor on me and I really felt the entire birthing process was rushed. I didn't feel like my body was ready to have the baby yet. So of course it resulted in a c-section like so many births do these days. I really want to try to have a vbac with my next child (who probably will come while we are stationed in Idaho within the next 2 years) Does anyone know more about vbacs in the Mountain Home Idaho area or a good midwife that would allow me to go into labor on my own? Any advice would help. Thanks

Voting Question: Does Medicaid cover a cesaean section?
I have pending Medicaid in Idaho and I am pregnant. I would much rather have a cesarean section than a natural birth, but I'm worried Medicaid will only cover a c-section if it's necessary. Does anyone know?

Resolved Question: R&S Poll: Should the votes of dead people be counted on Election Day?
If you vote by mail, but die before Election Day, does your vote count?
Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota and Utah feel they should be rejected.
Montana and Oregon believe they should be counted.
Yes, I know, how dare I post this question here when it belongs in the Politics section in the first place.
Bite me! I care what R&S thinks!

Resolved Question: Why are the glaciers melting? Global warming or something else?
I can't sleep so I decided to gain some knowledge by viewing KPBS. There was a documentary about glaciers formings in northern idaho. To make things short they mentioned somehting about how glaciers can melt from super cool water trap in small sections inside and that gets out through small crevices creating friction therefore melting the glaciers. Can create great flloods. happened in Iceland in the 90's.
I was thinking could this mean that the earth its not going through global warming but a cooling of the poles therefore more super cool water melting glaciers. I have read that the south pole is getting colder. Maybe the melting of glaciers centuries ago created great floods of freezing water which explains why dinosaurs remains have been found with food in their stomachs as if they had died or freezed instanly....I don't maybe i need to sleep..what you guys think? is global warming really happeing?

Resolved Question: Did anyone hear the news report about the train accident in Idaho on Saturday?
I was driving my friend from Rexburg, ID to the Idaho Falls airport on Saturday, and we were in a traffic jam forever.
When we finally got up to the scene, we saw a ton of rescue vehicles and police, a stopped train, a smashed car, tons of news stations and people in chaos.
I found out later that an 8 month pregnant woman with her 11 year old son, and 3 year old daughter were trying to cross onto the highway when they were hit by the train.
There car was knocked 100 feet into a pond by the river, the son was pronounced dead at the scene, the daughter is in the ICU, the mother had to undergo a C-section and the new baby is ok.
Does anyone have any more details?
I saw the woman and girl get life flighted, and I even saw the boy's covered body being loaded into an ambulence.
It was an enormous scene.
I was shocked and terrified.
I prayed for whoever was involved and want to know more.
God bless that poor family, not to mention the train conductor.
Thanks for your time.
