Impeach My Bush
Impeach My Bush Fret not, fans of filth, who worry Impeach My Bush will see saucy Canadian electro-punk Merrill Nisker shelving the politics of the bedroom and embracing political activism--a quick spin of self-explanatory tracks like "Two Guys (For Every Girl)" should quickly confirm the third Peaches full-length is just as foul-mouthed, depraved, and all-round sluttish as its predecessors. Further good news, however, comes with the realisation this is by some length the best Peaches album to date. The beats, in particular, are noticeably improved without losing that all-important gritty quality, particularly "Tent In Your Pants" and "Downtown" - a pair of tracks written with one Greg Kurstin, perhaps better known for his work with No Doubt pop queen Gwen Stefani. But there"s further collaborations, too. "Give 'er"--roughly speaking, the sound of PJ Harvey brawling with New York synth punks Suicide in a New York alleyway--features choppy riffing courtesy of Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme, while album stand-out "You Love It" boasts backing vocals and guitar from punk queen Joan Jett. Midway through "Slippery Dick" ("Toss freaker/Floss tweaker/Sauce leaker/Moss shrieker") you can't help but wonder how much mileage there is in talking dirty. Taken as a whole, though, Impeach My Bush is proof Peaches is still far from spent. --Louis Pattison

Open Question: Can anyone cite a single example of a Democrat who advocated impeaching Bush before he ever took office?
I see lots of questions contending that Obama should be or will be impeached shortly after taking office. I also see lots of questions claiming that Republicans are treating Obama the same way Democrats treated Bush. So can you show me a link to a statement by a Democrat from before Jan. 20, 2001, that advocated the impeachment of George W. Bush? A link would help. Track: See the word "impeaching" in my question? Wouldn't the correct term be that he "ASSUMED" that there were? Along with many other politicians including Democrats?(gasp!) Bill clinton was impeached because he got layed... Yet during his term this country saw most of its prosperity and he left Bush with a surplus. Then what happend? He messed it all up. This president got us into a war on lies. First he said there was a link with Iraq and 911, then it was the WMDs, then it became about overtaking Saddam and liberating Iraq? So let me get this straight. We borrowed money from China, gave it to a "dictator" in Pakistan so he can buy more weapons, and then spent more than a terrillion dollars in Iraq trying to "promote democracy"? *as they say it now. This president ruined this country in the past 8 years, and don't give me that BS that democrats controled congress for the past two. Yet we impeached a president for getting layed, yet we didn't do anything to a president who lied to us to get our soldiers killed, skyrocketed our deficit, stood in shock when our country was underattack, and watched as a great American city layed in ruin? Resolved Question: Why has Bush not been impeached?
So many people lately, in all media, are saying that President Bush should have been impeached. With about two weeks to go in his term, its a little late, but I'm curious...why hasn't he been impeached? Impeachment proceedings are begun in the House of Representatives and tried in the Senate. Both of these bodies of government are controlled by the Democrats. Those bodies controlled by the Republicans, the Executive and Judicial branches, have very little say over the process. The Democrats control the ability to both charge and try the president. Everyone seems to agree that Bush deserves impeachment. Why hasn't it happened? Most of the responses are alright so far. I don't believe that Israel controls the US...not that, you know, being from Israel would give me any authority to speak on this.... Hanna...you provide a pretty comprehensive list of allegations. That's a lot of what I've been hearing lately. My question, though, was, if all of this is true, which I'm not saying that it is or isn't, but if it is, then why haven't the Democrats taken action against him?
