About Majestic Athletic



The Majestic Athletic story began in the 1950s, when Mary Capobianco endeavored to open her own sewing mill. After working in the booming garment industry of Bangor, Pennsylvania, she realized she could work just as hard for herself and get much more in return. She started with women's clothing, blouses mostly. The company was called Maria Rose Fashions, and served well-dressed women from coast to coast. It was a far cry from athletic apparel, but it demanded the same attention to detail.

After learning the garment business first-hand, her son Faust Capobianco, III, followed in her footsteps. In 1976, he founded the Majestic Athletic you know today. Well, almost. The spirit was there, but the company hadn't made it to the big leagues yet. That happened in 1982, when Majestic introduced their first Major League Baseball batting practice jersey. This relationship grew in 1984 when the company signed their first MLB National Licensing Agreement, which brought fans the high-quality apparel they needed to truly show their team's colors.

Since the beginning, Majestic Athletic's philosophy has been simple: create the highest-quality athletic wear with a commitment to heritage, craftsmanship, and authenticity. And even though the company hit the big leagues, they still take time to add the hand-stitched details that got them where they are. But now they do it for every Major League Baseball club, the National Basketball Association, National Pro Fastpitch Softball, most major colleges and universities.

Will it be true and not just for african americans but for everybody ok first i want you to read this some of you may know what it is: "I Have a Dream" On August 28, 1963, more than a quarter of a million people participating in the civil rights march gathered at the Lincoln Memorial in the nation's capital and heard Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s. "I Have a Dream" speech. This speech is considered one of the most stirring speeches of this century. "Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of captivity. "But one hundred years later, we must face the tragic fact that the Negro is still not free. One hundred years later, the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. One hundred years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the Negro is still languishing in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land. So we have come here today to dramatize an appalling condition. "In a sense we have come to our nation's capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men would be guaranteed the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksand?s of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. "It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment and to underestimate the determination of the Negro. This sweltering summer of the Negro's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning. Those who hope that the Negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual. There will be neither rest nor tranquillity in America until the Negro is granted his citizenship rights. The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges. "But there is something that I must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice. In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. "We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Resolved Question: Where, oh where, should I immigrate to?
Hi, in a few years I'll be graduating from the University of California system with a business degree, so hopefully getting a job should not be an issue. It's been my dream ever since I was little to live in a place with snow and lovely architecture, somewhere outside of North America. Specifically, Europe. I've been doing research amongst the various European nations, and cannot come to a decisive conclusions on which would be best. I love the Finnish language and people, Swedish food, the majestic Swiss Alps, French beauty, traditional German architecture, UK style, etc. There's just so much in Europe; I can't decide! So here I am, Y!A. Help me narrow down what nations I should focus on. Notes: 1) (This is a big one) Must, must, must be tolerant of nonwhites. I have been mistaken for a Spaniard before (I'm half Indian, half white), but any Indian can still pick me out of a crowd in no time due to my skin color. I don't want to go to a country, only to be hassled, receive poor customer service, and so on when I get out of the cities by people thinking I'm an Arab. :( 2) A place with snow? As I said, it's my dream to live where there's snow! 3) Lovely cities are my main desire for coming to Europe. There just aren't many in the US... 4) A liberal nation would be nice! 5) Language is no issue, nor is integration. I am willing to fully integrate into the local culture, and am apt in picking up new languages. 6) Castles, oh my! 7) Forests, oh ho~! (not like either castles or forests are too hard to find in Europe!) 8) Fall colors (leaves actually turning red) is a plus, but I can do without them. 9) If it's a nation known for paying people in the business world lower salaries, I can deal.
