I wanted to play the campaign over xbox live with a friend to help him beat it, but when we started, i had a ridiculous delay. It wasn't like normal lag where you hit someone in the head but nothing happens. This was something like when i would push a stick to move, try to jump, or fire my weapon, it took almost a whole second to do so. My friend said he's fine. We also tried having him host, that didn't work either. It worked fine before, I beat campaign on legendary with another friend with no problems at all. I'm using a Linksys WRT54G router. I got a call on Sunday supposedly from the police and/or fire fire(the city) they were asking of a donation of $75 $50 $25 or the needy. I said cant cus of financial problems, lost of job etc. The next day(Monday) they called again I replied they had call yesterday etc. then the guy hung up on me while i was talking. The next day(Tuesday) they called again and I explained the situation again got angry and said you hung up on me yesterday so i did the same to him. Now they called again asking Mr. x or Mrs. x I said parents are working now. I asked who are you and he said i'll call in the afternoon again. This guy and the background noise sounded just like the guy that has been bothering. Are they try to cause trouble cus i hung up on them? What can a person do to resolve this? Try to reach the mayor? Hey Everyone - I hope you are all good :o) I have always tried to be a good person with good manners and a positive outlook in general. I look after myself and always put all my efforts into looking after others around me where ever i can. I have a good set of friends and have never struggled to attract the attention of the fairer sex. However I have now had my heart broken 4 times in my life time? I want to have a loving and meaningful relationship but it just seems to get to the stage where you feel like a secure a strong couple and the cracks then start to show? My girlfriend of 2 years [on jan 19th] seemed like she was my soulmate - the one for me, a great family/friends [all our friends and family are now our friends as oppose to mine and hers] and my best friend. She changed the way i looked at things and taught me and showed me a side of life i have never seen before. Now I must admit I can be a little stubborn but one thing that I really struggle with is 'arguments' - i really cant do them and i end up saying or doing really silly things like saying things or doing things i dont mean [walking out of arguments, saying i want a break - you know stupid heat of the mo things] I always come away from these feeling that I could have handled it better. The thing is I just want to be able to say to her - I love you - lets get past this - but it feels with each silly bout she pushes me further and provokes me and when i react she always say 'arent we worth fighting for?' 'I cant believe you thinking of finishing' etc. We argue over rubbish things sometimes - Sometimes we argue over things that we simply cant agree on so I struggle as how can we resolve things that we cant agree on? Now we are in limbo - im at work - she's at work, texts are flying about which basically are fuel to the fire. I am now at a point where I want to know what i should do? My heart wants to just sort this out but i seem to recline back into myself with every fight we have - or do i use my brain and give it up - you know you dont NEED to be with someone to be happy - right? For once I am at a stage where with everything else going on at the moment - i feel that if a chap and a lady are in love they should be able to work anything out right? I just feel that when things turn bad i have nowhere to turn with this and hence - the almighty yahoo answers. Where am i going wrong? what am i doing wrong? What should I do to make all this better....... Some great positive advice on here. Please know that the relationship isnt nasty or hurtful - just a little difficult at times. I wouldnt want to be one sided and not look at myself first - you know to see if there is anything i can do to improve a bad situation prior to pointing the finger. Last night this incident occured and I want your opinion on this. Last year I bought an opened boxed laptop from circuit city and I bought their advantage plan in which if the fire dog department ( circuit city computer tech) failed in fixing the problem they would replace the laptop with another one within the same price range and this works after the manufacter warranty expires. So I bought the laptop Jan 05 of 2008 and in feburary the laptop died on me one month after purchase so I took the laptop to the fire dog and they held it for one week because they couldn't figure out the problem. Then they told me that I have to send the laptop to Acer the manufacter to fix and i complied with that and I sent the laptop to acer and they fixed. Then for the past 6 months I've been having the same problems with the laptop so I talked to fire dog department and they told me I could bring in the laptop and get another one so I went yesterday to do so. I was surprised that the fire dog told me according to the plan they have to see if they can fix it and if they can't then they would replace the laptop for me and i have told them that the laptop been sent out twice and your technicians failed to fix it and this computer is an opened box item which means its been used and abused and probably returned for being defective so I would like a different laptop please and my pitch got high little bit but I do have a naturally high pitch tone and i was very respectful. The manager raises his arm all the way to my face level with a fist shape and tells me to get out of the store and he's not going to let me disrespect his employees. I was calm and told him I didn't disrespect anyone and to my understanding your advantage insurance plan grants me a different laptop if you failed in fixing it which is proven twice once by your department and once by the manufacter. Then he leaves the counter and comes towards me standing infront of my face invading my personal space and I told him that he's invading my personal space and please back away because you're too close to me. Then I asked him for his name and the 1800 number for complaint for Circuit city and he refused to give it to me and told me we are not going to give you anything. I told him by law you are suppose to give me that number with your name because I worked in a retail store and no matter what you're obligated to give that number. Then I asked him to call the cops because he raised his arms to my face level and shaped it as a fist and I want to press chargers because I was threatened by his actions and disrespected. Then he said okay we are calling the cops and then he made 3 of his employe's stand around me and watch me to make sure that I don't talk to anyone until the cops came and this all happened infront of the customers and I was really disrespected and made me feel like a fugitive or I stole something I'm like what the hell I'm medical student and there's no way in hell I would deal with people like that and what you're doing shows lack of professionalism. I was waiting for 35 mins and the cops didn't show up while 3 workers were surrounding me and watching me. Then he comes back and he was like well the cops didn't come I told him I know because you never called and my cellphone in the car and I can't leave the store once you asked me to leave and come back then he was like how can we resolve this. He ended up doing what he was suppose to do from the beginning return the laptop and give me another one. I don't want to say because I'm middle eastern with muslim name he was racist against me but, I think what he did with his employees was very wrong and he needs to pay for that behavior and disrespect. Do you think I have a case? I didn't take any customers number as witnesses but the camera are there and I saw 3 of them that covered the angles pretty well. (more...)

In the year 2009 the Lord came unto Noah, who was now living in England and said, ?Once again, the earth has become wicked and over populated, and I see the end of all flesh before me. Build another ark and save two of everything along with a few good humans?. He gave Noah the CAD drawings, saying, ?You have 6 months to build the Ark before I will start the unending rain for 40 days and 40 nights? Six months later, the lord looked down and saw Noah weeping in his yard but no Ark. Noah! He roared, I?m about to start the rain! Where is the Ark? ?Forgive me lord,? begged Noah, ?but things have changed. I needed Building Regulations Approval and I?ve been arguing with the Fire Brigade about the need for a sprinkler system. My neighbours claim that I should have obtained Planning Permission for building the Ark in my garden because it is a development site, even though in my view it is a temporary structure. We had to then go to appeal to the Secretary of State for a decision. The he Department of Transport demanded a bond to be posted for the future costs of moving power lines and other overhead obstructions to clear the passage for the Arks move to the sea. I told them that the sea would be coming to us but they would hear nothing of it. Getting wood was another problem. All the decent trees have Tree Preservation Orders on them and we live in a site of Special Scientific Interest set up in order to protect the spotted owl. I tried to convince the environmentalists that I needed the wood to save the owls ? but no go! When I started gathering the animals, the RSPCA sued me. They insisted that I was confining wild animals against their will. They argued the accommodation was too restrictive, and it was cruel and inhumane to put so many animals in a confined space. Then the County Council, the Environment Agency and the Rivers Authority ruled that I couldn?t build the Ark until they had conducted an environmental impact study on your proposed flood. I?m still trying to resolve a complaint with the Equal Opportunities Commission on how many disabled carpenters I?m supposed to hire for my building team. The Trades Unions say I can?t use my sons. They insist I have to hire only accredited workers with Ark building experience. To make matters worse, Customs and Excise seized all my assets, claiming I?m trying to leave the country illegally with endangered species. So, forgive me lord but it will take at least 10 years for me to finish this Ark.? Suddenly the skies cleared, the sun began to shine, and a rainbow stretched across the sky. Noah looked up in wonder and asked, ?You mean you?re not going to destroy the world?? ?No?, said the lord, ?The British Government beat me to it?. (more...)

You hate your own country because Isreal is fighting with Hamas? Really, you can't do anything about what Hamas is doing or what Israel is doing. If you support Hamas, then call your congressman and let him/her know where you stand. That is the American way to conduct yourself. Yes, you do have a right to voice your opinion, but do you have to denigrate your own country while doing it? There are so many good Americans out there who are actually working like dogs to help resolve this conflict. And back home there are so many complaining about Bushs' stand and President elect Obamas lack of a public statement. At least Obama doesn't want to add fuel to the fire. He is not out there calling Israel terrorists, or siding with Hamas. I say let Israel and Hamas hash things out in the only manner they are familiar with. We don't need to get involved. Oh, I can distinguish between my government and the people of the country. I also realize that denigrating the government in a public forum, is not as effective as directly phoning my representative. That is why they are in office. If enough of us pressure our reps, we can effect the changes needed in our country. The way it stands now, they think we are all too busy with American Idol to care about what they are doing. And that leaves them Idle, with nothing productive to do except twiddle their thumbs and become corrupt. Phone them and tell them what you want! They work for us! (more...)

ok someone i know(seriously its not me though)has a problem at work,she works hard most of the day and alot of people of the same position sit down,procrastinate,chit-chat throught most of the day.And when she complains,even to the higher ups they do nothing,or something that infinently results in nothing,less than a slap on the wrist. now this person is getting alot of crap and being talked about ,and poked fun at for it,she's tired of coming home tired while several of her level are sitting around like fat cats,when she tries such a thing she is given problems,she is just plain not liked,and due to the whole recession thing she is afraid of quiting,or being fired,people of her position actually try to boss her around! bad leadership is the biggest problem here,people regularly cuss out thier supieriers,and they say its normal,naturally they know feel control over thier fellow lowerclass team members..but how to aliviate this problem for her? I started a job at a nursing home about 2 months ago. I really like the job but this one chick who is about 15 years younger than me does not like me i asked her if there is a problem with me and she said if it was she would let me know she has been harrassing me in a subtle way since i been there now its getting obvious the other day she called me crazy ass in front of residents because of something subtle she did and just recently she we had a problem in dining area among residents and she stated u gonna get slapped up in here. I am too old to be trying to fight her and dont want to get to that level im late thirties i reported this to the director of nursing and she said she needs written statements from other cnas that they witnessed this because a threat is automatic termination ! the cnas dont want to get involved but the residents saw this and they are willing to testify but she said she doesnt want them in it i dont want to work with this chick again because she is very hostile way bigger than me and jealous woman i cant come to my union because im not in it yet is their any way i can resolve this matter promptly like get her fired because im now uncomfortable around her and boss wont change schedule. Your Open QuestionShow me another » SHOULD MY SON BE CHARGED , FOR A SCHOOL AGE PRANK? Last Friday, I was called to my children's school, regarding a incident involving my son at basketball practice. One of the mothers I spoke to with often,stated that my 11 year old son panted( children's prank pulling down each others pants) her 13 year daughter , also pulling her panties down( found out later he never pulled her panties down according to the other children's statements) . The mother failed to mention, that her daughter supposing panted my son first( basketball team stated to coach/parents her daughter panted my son first, later to find out another girl pantsed my son while his back was turned ,her daughter was standing next to the girl who did it , laughing at him . so, he thought she did it because he was embarrassed ) and pulled him into the girl's bathroom and slammed his head against the wall( which she admitted too doing). I told the mother to wait for me at the school ,so we could sort out what happen. Before, my husband and I could get to the school ,the basketball coach called and warned us that the girl's mother was staring trouble with my son(screaming and yelling at him). As a group, we discussed what happen and agreed that it was horseplay and to not play like that anymore. The girl's mother and I parted with plans to have lunch the following week. On Monday evening , my son was suspended from school for sexual harassment. I called the Principal for a understanding why was my son suspended?( since the issue was resolved twice) He, made an appointment for Tuesday morning to discuss the incident on Friday. The Principal, stated that Monday morning, the girl's mother expressed she was pressing charges on my son for sexual harassment, She wanted the Basketball Coach fired and she was taking her daughter out of the school. As of yet, no charges have been filed ,she is undecided if she will let her daughter return to school or if she will be pressing charges on my son. Now, I talked with this mom at least once a week about our children , our daughters are (were) the best friends ,they even hung out together often.I thought we had concluded NO MORE PANTSING .I dont know if we need a lawyer or what to do, I dont want this to ruin my son at such a young age, over school age pranks.
