Resolved Question: How do you deal with annoying fans at hockey arenas?
I have been to many sporting events this year and there must be something in the air OR I am officially a grouchy old woman. All of the below have happened recently to me. Please tell me if you react, ignore it, or if you are ?that guy?.
1)The Stand Up Fan ? Whenever the home team comes closes to scoring, the moron in front of or beside you decides to stand up because he obviously is the only one at the game that cares, therefore standing to see better will somehow magically make the team score. How do you deal with this brilliant fan if asking politely doesn?t resolve the situation?
2)The Bad Breath fan ? Why is it that the guy that ate turds from lunch is the one that wants to make small talk and yell all game long? How do you get this guy to shut his trap or fix the situation? Oh, btw, offering mints and gum didn?t work because the guy said he was drinking beer and didn?t want to ruin the taste.
3)The Excessive Homers Screamer Fan ? The guy behind you that yells out penalties like, ?That was SO offisides!? (when it wasn?t), ?F?ing Interference? (when the other team picks the pocket of his favorite teams player), or ?Dude, that was diving!? (when one of his favorite teams players goes to the sin bin for tripping). Do you turn around and try to educate the guy? How do you deal with this guy?
4)The Lets Bring The Baby and Family Fan ? Don?t get me wrong?. nothing is more hardcore than bring the whole fam-dam-ly??but for crying out loud?..get some seats by an aisle. I was at a game once where between the kids and parents, I had to let them out about 15 times a period. I know there is not much you can do, but do you bother commenting to the parents?
5)The Fighter Fan ? The guy that obviously was not hugged enough as a child that constantly is screaming for a fight. I swear this happened once. This guy was totally wasted and felt compelled to yell, ?Hit that, Bleeeach!? and ?Take him down, man!??and even, ?We only came to see you guys fight!?. I had to say something, because it was on 10 minutes into the 1st. How would you handle this situation?
6)The Living Room Fan ? Apparently this guy had basketball nads because he felt that it was necessary to spread his legs and prop one leg, by putting his foot on the crack between my seat and the empty seat next to me. I suppose some people think they are on their recliner at home while attending a game. How do you resolve this situation if elbowing his feet hasn?t dropped the hint?

Resolved Question: Was it a mistake to include Prop.8 into the ballad?
Both sides of Prop 8 spend over $74 million to convince voters that their point is the correct one. Shouldn't there be an "Assumed consent" that both side agreed to honor the outcome of the election?
Gay marriage issue has been going on for years. Finally, both sides agreed to bring to the attention of Californians, but with the intention to honor the result only if their side wins.
I don't think this is an issue can be resolved by people's vote.
It is a legal issue that should be settle by the courts.
Next election we deal with a controversial issue such as Prop 8, we should ask the leaders of both sides to come to an agreement that they will honor the election results, before their case can be admitted
into the ballad.
Please tell me what you think.
Some answerers missed the question.
Why vote on something, if you don't intend to honor the results?

Resolved Question: What would happen if the PCV valve hose were missing?
My husband was doing some repair work on my car a few weeks ago and handed me some parts. "Find out what these are. They were laying in front of the engine." I discovered they were a PCV valve and part of the hose. I was able to replace the PCV valve, but the parts store did not have the hose. My husband then had to leave town before he could complete the repair (ah the military life). I had my car towed to a local mechanic. I handed him the old PCV valve as a reminder that I needed a new hose as well as my husband's initial repair completion. I picked up the car yesterday, it sounded different. There was a new clutch, but that wasn't it. More like a prop plane noise, it was slight. After the engine cooled, I inspected what I could with my limited knowledge. There was no cover on the battery, curious, but that was resolved. But what concerned me was that the engine was completely empty of oil. The plug is there, it's a new filter, that was changed while my husband's tinkered, and the 5 qt jug of oil he bought was empty. I put more oil in it, and it has not leaked when I checked it this morning. The mechanic did forget to install the hose.
Could all the oil have leaked out through the PCV system in the 8 miles I drove from the repair shop?

Resolved Question: Are these heart palpitations? Hypoglycemic?
My hypoglycemia used to just cause moodiness or inexplicable anger, I'd MAYBE get lightheaded... But could it, out of no where, begin instigating heart palpitations? I know that it CAN cause them, but... Eh. I'm nearly 17, and although many stressful situations have propped up recently, I'm not really an anxious person... However, I did recently take myself off of birth control pills.
Here's what's going on: every few minutes, it feels like my heart just... disappears or something. I know that palpitations are supposed to be an odd AWARENESS of beating, but it's like... Like my chest is filled with air? Sort of like when there's a HUGE drop on a roller coaster, and you're in the front seat... My breathing gets all screwy, and my eyes feel strange... And then, within seconds, it's gone.
I'm pretty confused as to what I should do- if I just leave it be, maybe eat a little more, do you think it might resolve on its own? I am a little on the skinny side (5' and 96 lbs), but I don't restrict my food intake or anything, and I haven't made any dietary changes to cause this... But the other day, I had my first MAJOR blood sugar attack, I was crying, confused, and furious for no reason, and it took us three hours to figure out what was wrong... After I ate, albeit tired, I was okay again.
...Help?

Resolved Question: Is this something that you have wondered about?
the mechanics
the feel of the barrel surely cold
and probably odd to mouth hold
was it propped to help aid its weight
the mechanics to do such a simple act
does one plan this act obsess the details
or just fantasize until reality fades away
is planning part of the journey or a cry
does the instrument chosen imply resolve
a blade a pill a cord a gun a car they choose
does choosing gain some inward satisfaction
some control over a life surely chaotic
or no code followed here for reality faded
but at that final moment what holds them back
an angel or a will unwilling to say ok
remorse regret or seeing reality without them
what holds them back what brings them back

A. In-home care
B. Family day care

B. Ask another caregiver to play with Rachel and observe them together.
C. Ask her directly, "Why don't you ever play with the other children at the center?"
D. Say to her, "Rachel, will you please help Becky pick out a dress for her doll," and observe what she does.
4. You're caring for three children in your own home: a three-year-old, a four-year-old, and a two-month-old infant. The infant often becomes hungry and wants to be fed just when you're involved in something with the two older children. What should you do with the infant?

Age: 4
Date: 2/21

"I'll put it back," he said. Then he handed some blocks to Tom. He watched Tom build and then handed them a wedge-shaped piece. "Here's a flag," he said. Chris began putting flags around the building. The teacher asked Chris if he wanted to make some paper flags. He replied, "Not unless Tom makes some, too."
Comment:
Chris is often involved in a lot of dramatic play with several other boys. He especially likes to be near Tom. Chris seems to look up to him. Once engaged in play, he likes to continue, and will usually not let another child or even the teacher distract him.

A. The day care teacher should determine what action to take to resolve Stephen's fears and follow through.
B. Each day care staff member should test a strategy and see which one works best.
C. The day care teacher should discuss the problem with Stephen's parents and jointly decide on a strategy that everyone could follow consistently.
D. The day care teacher should move Stephen to another room.
7. The following record was written by an observer at a day care facility:
Tyrone came into the room this morning looking as if he was mad at the world. He wouldn't speak to the teacher or even look at her. He slumped his way over to the puzzle table and plopped down into a chair. When Toby tried to join him, Tyrone pushed him away. You could tell something was bothering him.
