Resolved Question: Name 5 ways that the earth gives props or recognition to God?
it clearly states some here in Pslams 104. When have you witnessed this. I'm feelinbg lonesome for beauty and nature right now Pslams 104 1Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty. 2Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain: 3Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind: 4Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire: 5Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever. 6Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains. 7At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away. 8They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them. 9Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth. 10He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills. 11They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst. 12By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches. 13He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works. 14He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth; 15And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart. 16The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted; 17Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house. 18The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies. 19He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down. 20Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth. 21The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God. 22The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens. 23Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening. 24O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches. 25So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts. 26There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein. 27These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season. 28That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good. 29Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust. 30Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth. 31The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works. 32He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke. 33I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. 34My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD. 35Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD. ALRIGHT ALRIGHT and yes, i would love to lay down outside right now. everything is covered in ice. Resolved Question: Where do the six-year-olds you know get their money from?
It is a well-known fact that central heating drains a man?s sap, so we have huge, roaring fires, fuelled by wood from the estate. I have advertised for a small village boy or girl to serve an apprenticeship with Blenkinsop, living in each cosy fireplace day and night to watch the fires, clean the ashes, turn the spits and clean the chimney in Spring. My dears, there has not been one single application! Does no-one make children work for their money any more? Where are these six-year-olds getting their money from? (more...)

Resolved Question: PLEASE read my poems! and rate them?
You need not read them all, all I ask, is you put them in order from best to worst. Bounce upon with silver light, do rays of sun upon mountains might. Broken is the silent night, as wing-ed things take to flight. Below the sun, tucked in tight, lay a forest green, all alight. Darkness cast, as a veil, upon this earth, it has failed. For sun of day, it has come, until dark of night, we see again. Pain, no more I felt, upon my skin. Numb, I was as I stared, into the unforgiving night. Golden rays of sun, felt of knives burning through, my parched, dry skin. Numb I was, though hope, it never left. And with it came anger, wishing death, to those that held us, in the deepest brink. I looked through this world, of pain that was all we knew. And fought on, to remember our past, and to hope! Hope for new life! and for cold hearts, we have from pain, to be once more whole. until we feel once more! Mountain after mountain pass I, upon a journey to touch, the bluest premises of the sky. At each break of day, continue I on this broken path, until my feet can go no more, pain of feet, I feel its wrath. Watch do I each night, laying upon the barren ground, as stars they dance and fight. My peace of mind is finally found. Peace it does not last, as night has come, and now is past. Through rolling hills I walk, morning light upon my heels, sight of yonder mountains they do mock, though soon they shall yield. The blinding sun over my now covered head, Hills that roll almost done, until the light of day is dead, and my energy is run. Lay a night again do I, though sleep does not come, I feel as though I could fly, upon the domes of the sky, for my mission it is almost done. "Winter to Spring" Multitudes of flowing white tendrils, pierce the sky, with neverending grace, and a light wind shakes. Tranquility among the snow. A chill descends, from the north, sound frozen, amidst the cold. Tranquility frozen, never moving. warmth sets upon, drives away the cold, and with it the dawn, golden upon snow. Peace begins. Glass like lakes, and drifts of snow, are melted down, it is the end. of Winter. Peace goes on. Buds shoot out, of greying brown trees, color once again. it is set free. Peace turns once more. Plants, shoot heavenwards, as if to forever leave, to the barren sky. and to peace. Finally I can sleep... Across the salty brine and winds that smell so sweet, Rises a golden sun, upon mountains you shall meet. Between these larger hills, sit valleys long and green. And flowing fast, white froths turning, a lake it does glean. It gleans the sun, as it does its daily quest. Following a single path, west. Now this lake of gold turns back once more, to a river wide, and you cant ignore, a drop, to stone below, it gives a mighty roar. Many paths they do meet, though made not by hands nor feet, come together, they do seek, the end of land, is where they seat. Until their adventures begin once more, a new land they shall explore. Ring, goes the silent clock. It may not be noise, but I do hear. As I do hear pain, as I feel. Pain that holds you, as a vice, a vice of cold steel. A vice that feels of ice, freezes off your happiness. and stangles you at night. But yay! The dawn it has arrived, and with its warmth, the grip lessens until it is no more. Your cold heart, beats once again. And love is rekindled, as once before. Love that held me, at its greatest link. and this one... Among these brambled thorns, the world it spins. But I stand still, for i am lost, I am worn. and no more do I feel pain. For I am lost to the void, in my heart. to my soul I must go, to my heart I must go again. And with that my story is told, of a lost boy, among this torn up world. or this one... Love, the heart of this world. It rains down upon you, like a storm that will not leave. It is the sun, as to the dawn. For its rays will slice, like a knife, through your heart. and you will feel gone, as though you have left, and there is no return. That the heart can conjure this feeling, to bring upon this pain, is to find that which you have not. For love cannot be my burden, as life has bestowed upon me from the start, this love keeps me hurting, hurting as a cold wind tears through my soul. A wind of ice that is the cause, of that which cannot be, the love I do feel, for you..... If you don't like this one read this.... beware it has already been posted but comment if you wish on it. Is it the wind? the tearing wind. Or is it time? to which all is lost. For the heat of the sun, warms that which i can not feel. And the night, numbs me once again. To which is love? love that breaks you? And as to love is to be hurt, walking among these stars, blind to the world? I cross (more...)

Resolved Question: Some *New* Blonde Jokes (hope you like)?
At a convention of blondes, a speaker insisted that the "dumb blonde" myth is all wrong. To prove it he asked one cute young volunteer, "How much is 101 plus 20?" The blonde answered, "120." "No," he said, "that?s not right." The audience called out, "Give her another chance!" So the speaker asked the blonde, "How much is 10 plus 13?" Slowly the blonde replied, "16." "Sorry", he said, shaking his head. Once again the crowd roared, "Give her another chance." "This is your last try," warned the speaker. "How much is 2 plus 2?" Carefully she ventured, "Four?" And the crowd yelled, "Give her another chance!" A pretty blonde decides to try horseback riding, even though she has had no lessons or prior experience. She mounts the horse, unassisted, and the horse immediately springs into motion. It gallops along at a steady and rhythmic pace, but the blonde begins to slip from the saddle. 13 hours ago In terror, she grabs for the horse's mane, but cannot seem to get a firm grip. She tries to throw her arms around the horse's neck, but she slides down the side of the horse anyway. The horse gallops along, seemingly impervious to its slipping rider. Finally, giving up her frail grip, the blonde attempts to leap away from the horse and throw herself to safety. Unfortunately, her foot has become entangled in the stirrup, and she is now at the mercy of the horse's pounding hooves as her head is struck against the ground over and over. As her head is battered against the ground, she is mere moments away from unconsciousness when to her great fortune... Bill, the Wal-Mart greeter, sees her and unplugs the horse. (more...)

Resolved Question: A Joke For You - The Butcher Dance?
A guy has spent five years traveling all around the world making a documentary on Native dances. At the end of this time, he has every single native dance of every indigenous culture in the world on film. He winds up in Australia, in Alice Springs, so he pops into a pub for a well earned beer. He gets talking to one of the local Aborigines and tells him about his project. The Aborigine asks the guy what he thought of the "Butcher Dance." The guy's a bit confused and says, "Butcher Dance? What's that?" "What? You haven't seen the Butcher Dance?" "No, I've never heard of it." "Oh mate. You are crazy. How can you say you have filmed every native dance if you have not seen the Butcher Dance?" "Umm. I got a corroboree on film just the other week. Is that what you mean?" "No no, not corroboree. The Butcher Dance is much more important than corroboree." "Oh, well how can I see this Butcher Dance then?" "Mate, Butcher Dance right out in the bush. It takes many days of travel to go see Butcher Dance." "Look, I've been everywhere from the forests of the Amazon, to deepest darkest Africa, to the frozen wastes of the Arctic filming these dances. Nothing will prevent me from recording this one last dance." "OK, mate. You drive north along highway towards Darwin. After you drive 197 miles, you see dirt track veer off to left. Follow dirt track for 126 miles til you see big huge dead gum tree - biggest tree you ever see. Leave your car there because it is too rough to drive. Walk due west for 8 days and you will find the village where you can see the Butcher Dance." So the guy grabs his camera crew and equipment and heads out. After a couple of hours he finds the dirt track. The track is in a shocking state and he's forced to crawl along at a snails pace and so he doesn't reach the tree until dusk and he's forced to set up camp for the night. He sets out bright and early the following morning. His spirits are high and he's excited about the prospect of capturing on film this mysterious dance which he had never heard mention of before. Eight arduous days later they virtually stagger into the village where the natives feed them and give them fresh water. They begin to feel like new men. Once he's recovered enough, the guy goes before the village chief and tells him that he has come to film there Butcher Dance. "Oh mate. It's very bad that you came today. The Butcher Dance was last night. You are too late. You missed dance." "Well, when do you hold the next dance?" "Not 'til next year." "Well, I've come all this way. Couldn't you just hold an extra dance for me, tonight?" "No, no, no! The Butcher Dance very special. It is performed once a year. If it is performed more, the gods get very angry and destroy village! If you want see the Butcher Dance you come back next year." The guy is devastated but he has no other option but to head back to civilization and back home. The following year, he heads back to Australia and, determined not to miss out again, sets out a week earlier than last time. He is quite willing to spend a week in the village before the dance is performed in order to ensure he is present to witness it. However, right from the start things go wrong. Heavy rains made the first leg of the trip very slow going and what should have been 8 days of hiking turned into 14 days because of various storms, injuries and such. Eventually, having lost all sense of how long they have been traveling, they stagger into the village at about midday. "The Butcher Dance!" gasps the guy. "Please don't tell me I'm too late!" The chief recognizes him and says "No, white fella. The Butcher Dance is tonight. You came just in time." Relieved beyond measure, the crew spends the rest of the afternoon setting up their equipment - preparing to capture the night's ritual on celluloid. As dusk falls, the natives start to cover their bodies in white paint and adorn themselves in all manner of bird's feathers and animal skins. Once darkness has settled fully over the land, the natives form a circle around a huge roaring fire. A deathly hush descends over performers and spectators alike as a wizened old figure with elaborate swirling designs covering his entire body enters the circle and begins to chant. Some sort of witch doctor or medicine man, figures the guy and he whispers to the chief, "What's he doing?" "Hush," whispers the chief. "You are the first white man ever to see most sacred of our rituals. Must remain silent. Holy man, he asks that the spirits of the dream world watch as we demonstrate our devotion to them through our dance and, if they like our dancing, will they be so gracious as to watch over us and protect us for another year." The chanting of the Holy man reaches a stunning crescendo before he moves himself from the circle. From somewhere the rhythmic pounding of drums booms out across the land and the natives begin to sway The guy is becoming caught up in the fervor of the moment himself. This is it. He now realizes beyond all doubt that his wait has not been in vain. He is about to witness the ultimate performance of rhythm and movement ever conceived by mankind. The chief strides to his position in the circle and, in a big booming voice, starts to sing, He says, "You butcher left foot in..." Sorry to all ~ i think i used too many words or something so i added the rest for anyone else willing to read it (more...)

Voting Question: What music can I use with the poem "Mad Girl's Love Song" by Sylvia Plath?
I'm doing this photostory thing and I need to set some music in the background. I would like some music that conveys insanity and madness.Any good ideas? Preferably instrumental music with no words. Here's the poem. I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead; I lift my lids and all is born again. (I think I made you up inside my head.) The stars go waltzing out in blue and red, And arbitrary blackness gallops in: I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead. I dreamed that you bewitched me into bed And sung me moon-struck, kissed me quite insane. (I think I made you up inside my head.) God topples from the sky, hell's fires fade: Exit seraphim and Satan's men: I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead. I fancied you'd return the way you said, But I grow old and I forget your name. (I think I made you up inside my head.) I should have loved a thunderbird instead; At least when spring comes they roar back again. I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead. (I think I made you up inside my head. (more...)

Resolved Question: What do you think of this poem?
Okay, please tell the truth, im only 15, so its probably no good, but still tell me if you think it is crap please :). Its about all the soldiers that have died in war, and i havnt got a title for it yet. They will never see rain, clouds, sun or snow, They will never see smiling faces or eyes filled with tears, They will never see the mountains that rise hight above the sky, They will never see the flowers that start to bloom in the spring. They will never hear the birds soaring high in the sky, They will never hear the voices of those whom they love, They will never hear the up roar of fans as a goal is scored, They will never hear the sound of their children calling their name. They will never feel joy, They will never feel happiness, They will never feel excitement, Or feelings of any sort. None of these things, The loyal soldiers will do again, But they will always be cherished, They will always be missed. They will always be truley loved, They will always be deeply appreciated, They will always be with us, They will always be remembered. Im thinking of starting each line with they will never, to willl they ever...is that a good idea? (more...)

Resolved Question: please read my story?
Bubble of Life A Story by Sylver Marcus lions and tigers and bears oh my! not! Grrrrrrrrrrr, i rumbled low so papa didnt hear me. The bird lay twitching on the cold hard ground in the larg herb bush. the bush was what kept our family alive, so full of life with a spring sprouting from the north left side. But inside no one, except me could fit, and i crouched holding my paws in the center root to keep from tumbling out into the daylight and be exposed. Carla would laugh at me and we would rib punch for a while until papa would pull us apart and threaten to serve us Yuhuh that night for dinner. I shuddered at the thought, yuhuh was Lion's tailmeat and once we heard of cubs eating yuhuh and rolled into the unknown region, and never came back. I yelped at the thought and gripped the root tighter. I pulled myself closer to my prey and snarled at it, watching it twitch in pain and chatter in ear, then the light shone on my face as a hefty part of the herb bush pulled away and i snatched my snarl back, as Mum clawed the fragrancey leafs. "Jyter what in saints name are you doing wasting valuable time hiding. This is no time for playing! Even Carla has finished her duties before rise and you are here torturing a harmless little winger." Mum nudged the bird out of the bush with her front paw then lifted it in her mouth and brought it to the main cave for papa to medicate it. I grumbled to myself cussing Carla as she pranced by a smug look on her face. She'd done her duties before me and therefore was going to go hunting in the Jungle with papa tonight, and bring back dinner for the young ones. ALl of a sudden i heard a loud moan and roar, papa. the pouding footsteps on the hard packed sand, was loud enough to echo in the vast desert. he suddenly appeared in front of the bush's opening and lifted me in his mouth. He knew i didnt like being touched with mouths or lifted in any way. I ribbed him until he dropped in the dung cave where alll the waste went. "should you rot in here til death" roared papa. "i reckoned i brought my pack up better than that Jyter! Carla even lived up to potential mate level and here you stoop so low as to hunt a bird! Unbelieveable!" papa clawed the unfinished south mud wall and the whole covering shredded and teared leaving a gap in the center. "why" was all he asked so low it was barely audible. I bowed my head and lifted my right paw. "i dont know papa. i mean it was already bitten and harmed i just thought i could finish it off, i mean im just so hungry!" Papa raged at me explanation and didnt even give me time to ponder my next answer to hos next question that he would fire at me which would undoubtedly be "how could you be my son, so devilish and fiesty" which is what he always ranted at me when he was mad at me. but he surprised me when he responded finally "then if you dont like following the rules, fulfilling your duties and are so starving, why are you still here?" true id chosen his way of life when i joined the led region pack seven months ago, but i still said "so i can live up to my twin overshadowing self centered mate!" (carla) and ran out of the dung cave angry and bewildered. I ran with all my might to the jungle, east back to where i csme from and back to my original pack. i heard the sound of the chasin punding paws slow as mum said to papa "leet him be. he is not a cub anymore yoshi and he can chose his own life for he came here, by his own will, he can leave in his own will" but i chased the voices away and stepped into the bubble of the jungle alive. I snarled and thought "now no one can cetch me or call me untamed. for im the kind of the jungle!" (more...)
