Resolved Question: Science Fiction TV Show!?
This was a science fiction show back in the 50's. I was sure it was called Science Fiction Theatre, but after accessing that on the net and seeing the host as Truman Bradley, pretty much ruled out that it was Science Fiction Theatre. The host(on this science fiction show), as it is hazy, seems to be the same guy who played a Captain Corey(or some similar name) on a Star Trek episode. He was Kirk's friend but had gone mad and they found him by locating his heart beat. Anyways, this was the host to this science fiction TV show and it seemed they always had some kind of a thing that looked like a target for arrows without the bullseye, but with a pick or awl in the middle of it, for a logo or ending shot. Thank you for your help. Ronny. (more...)

Resolved Question: How to Re-open a School?
Currently, I am 17 years old and I will be turning 18 in just six days. Last year I attended the all girls catholic high school, Caritas Academy, located in Jersey City, NJ. When I heard the news it was going to close, I was devastated. I tried my best to save it with making up petitions, advertising, making a youtube video to inform more people about it, and came up with great fund raising ideas. Sadly, my plan failed. I realized my grades were more important, so I gave up. I wish I hadn't. But then I thought, I can re-open Caritas later on in life when I have enough money. In ten or so years I would like to re-open this school, and make it better than ever before. It's been a couple of months since the school officially closed, and I think it has been turned into a charter school or is going to be. My school was sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth. How can make this happen? In ten or so years would it be possible? For the record, I have plans to save up. In the fall I will be entering my first year at college. I have a true passion for theatre and music and I want to have a career in both. I know being an actress and a singer may not sound like decent careers but it's what I want. So if I do happen to get a record deal or star in a film produced by Tim Burton, I want to save up that money to make my third dream come true - to save Caritas Academy. But my question is how do i do it? (more...)

Resolved Question: Suggestions of things to do/see in Boston?
I'm a Boston native, first and foremost. However, I moved to Seattle on my own before I was an adult. I will be going to Boston from the 20th til the 28th this month. I'm brining my fiance with me. I'm 24 and he's 37. (I only state ages so that a gauge of interest can be judged for things to do.) He has never been to Boston before, and I'd love to make the trip special and memorable for him! Things that are already on the agenda are the following: -Shear Madness -F1 Racing (in Braintree) -Medieval Manor -Sunday brunch at the Boston Harbor Hotel -Tiki Island (if you've never been, it's the best chinese food in the country, located in Medford ;) ) -Faneuil Hall Marketplace -Salem -Harvard Square -Museum of Science And possibly going to the North End for his first trip to a real Italian bakery, or Newbury Street for some shopping, food, and fun :) Since it's going to be cold, and snow is a possibility, things like the Duck Tours and the Public Garden/Swan Boats are pretty much out. (Also, we're not interested in the Aquarium, and at this point, it would be exceedingly expensive to book tickets to a theatre show.) What else can you suggest? -For the two of us to do? -For us to do on Friday the 26th with my mother (52) and brother (26) to accompany us? (Is there anything going on Christmas Day or night??) Any help or suggestions are appreciated!! Thanks in advance. :) (more...)

Resolved Question: what would you give me for a grade on this biography ( 8th grade english)?
William Butler Yeats was born on June 13, 1865. He was an amazing poet that everyone should recognize. He was born and raised in the seaside village of Sandymount in county Dublin, Ireland. His father was a lawyer and a well-known, Irish painter. His mother?s side of the family was of political royalty. He was educated at Gudolphin school in Hammersmith and for college he went to the Metropolitan School of Art in Dublin, Ireland. William enjoyed studying poetry in his young days. He was fascinated with both Irish legends and the occult. Many of his first poems relate to those interesting subjects. His first poem was published in 1889. Although he has had many accomplishments in his life time, I would have to say that the Nobel prize would have to be the most honorable. He won the Nobel prize in literature in 1923.In 1916 he was 51. He was determined to get married and produce an heir. He served as an Irish senator for two terms. He also founded the Abbey Theatre and served as its chief in the theatre?s early years. He is a very unique poet with a touch of classic in every single one of his literary works. He has written many poems, such as ?A Prayer For My Daughter?, ?A Prayer For My Son?, ?Death?, ?Easter 1916?, ?Friends?, ?Brown Penny? ?Father and Child?, ?The Second Coming? and ?When You Are Old?. He unfortunately died on January 28, 1939. His brilliant poems leave a mark on anyone who reads, a mark that makes them want to read them even more. There is a memorial of William Butler Yeats located in Sligo, Ireland. (more...)

Voting Question: Walnut Hill HELP! I need a good plan!?
Hi! I hope that everybody is enjoying their holiday so far! So anyways, heres my question. I would LOVE to get into the day/boarding school Walnut Hill, located in MA. I love theatre, and I just think that Walnut Hill is my dream school, and I would love to attend! The only problem is that the cost is SO expensive, even with the financial aid! So anyways, I was wondering if anybody know any way I could get into my dream school? I want this so bad! Oh and by the way, I am still in middle school, so I have some time before I get really serious about getting in, but I just thought that it would be smart to start think about it now. Thank you all, and have a fantastic Thanksgiving! (more...)
